Wow!! This place is incredible. The double fried wings are next level. The French fries were delicious. One of the best beer selections in the bluff. The bartender was super friendly and very accommodating. My food came out hot, fresh, and quick. Plenty of parking here. Definitely coming back next time I am in Memphis. read more

So our server was Maddie H. Our experience was terrible, first off it took forever for someone to greet us. Next when we ordered our sides, it didn't even end up coming until our main course came. Which took 30 minutes...for onion rings and fries. Next half of our order didn't even come and our waitress was no help, and looked clueless when i told her that we were still missing our food after waiting 45 minutes. She then decided to lie and say oops we're waiting on the mushrooms (I saw her put the order in that she forgot to take). If you're gonna make a mistake like that at least be honest about it. Terrible service and never coming again. All they could offer was 5 dollars off our entire order which totaled to 80 dollars (should've discounted our entire meal since we had to wait on you guys) read more

We stopped in to young ave for a late bite and hang session with friends. The atmosphere was very young and loud. We had a great time! The food was good and we also got mozzarella sticks which were tasty. Overall a good choice in the heart of midtown. We will be back to visit again! read more

Kayla was our serve and she did a great job answering questions on the menu.. she even tried a desert to be sure it didn't to have nuts in it. A must stop lunch spot in Memphis! Lunch times on Saturday gets crowded but swing by 11:30 or so for a solid meal. The "Sam I Am", Reuben and club can't be beat. We can never decide between sweet potato fries or classic - truly can't go wrong. The Christmas decorations are a wonderful touch. The Deli. Young Ave. They have a little bit of everything to make it a good night. Karaoke on certain nights. Pool tables. Bar space. You name it. Food is delicious. Their wings are excellent and they have plenty of options for drinks. Canned. Draft. Bottled. It's all there. I'll certainly be making my way to their massive mozz sticks sometime soon. The chicken strips were good with blue cheese and the hot wing sauce. My server was the best, for she was attentive even with a busy patio and bar area on the day after Christmas. The food, live music and the good pool tables made it a place I will return in the future. read more

The politically incorrect sandwich was excellent but the regular side salad (iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced cucumber) was an ok value at ~$5. Don't go out of your way for the side salad (seriously). Service is self seating and fairly prompt. Props to the wait staff for having a good attitude. Terrible customer service. No server greeted us so we had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. Employee came around checking id and had an issue with a paper id isssued from the dmv? The bartender checked that same id and served drinks. Clearly no one is on the same page at this place. Will not be back read more

A friend and I went and tried Young Avenue Deli on October 9, 2023. Once you walk in you seat whatever you want. Our server came to us very quickly. Luckily the food didn't take long to be ready. I decided to get the Sam I Am sandwich and Mozzarella Sticks. For both the items it was ok nothing too special. For the Mozzarella Sticks I just feel like something was missing to make it really good. For the Sam I Am sandwich the BBQ sauces, and bacon was really good, but the gouda cheese just tasted a little bit weird, and just kinda almost ruined the sandwich. read more

Locals hang out here, they have pool tables, darts,and u can watch sports, lots of screens, they have live music, burgers and fries are good. Sit at the bar for quick service. I hope they clean the front of the house tho, went during the day and i can tell they havent dusted where they put the alcohol above the bar, makes me question what the back of the house looks like.. read more

The atmosphere is always a bit noisy. It is the upbeat noisy lull so not bad at all. I went a few weeks ago on a Friday night and they had great music. It truly was a very fun experience and I highly recommend. The Yankee sandwich today was very delicious. Half of it is big enough to fill you up. It's my new favorite. The onion rings were huge and we were so excited about them. Unfortunately for us the breading is too thick and although some appears crunchy it's not really. This may be the breading for you. Pro tip: if you order the chili cheese fries get the cheese on the side because it's a ton and just sprinkle in as you desire. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. For bar food, there's better, and for midtown, there's better restaurants. However, it is spacious, there's a long bar w/tvs, pool tables, a patio, funky decor, and live music at night. Good for all ages in the day and the service was attentive. read more

I've been here twice in a span of a week. The first time I got the Sonoma sandwich, and then I got a burger with their famous cheese sticks. The food was delicious, somehow though the cheesesticks and marinara tasted better the next day. Came here for lunch. Good atmosphere, good vibe. I ordered the Sam I Am, which was wrapped in a pita wrap. It was decent. It was tasty, but it didn't really impress me a whole lot. The wrap was no doubt on the smaller side, which was underwhelming. However, the side of pimento cheese fries saved the day. I could tell the fries were freshly cut, and the melted pimento cheese and ranch dip were great - good portions on this side dish too. Great draft beer selection. My recommendation - a heartier Sam I Am. Sure, charge a little extra for it or whatever, just beef it up. read more

The food and the price point are just awesome! I went in for the first time and I am glad I did. I had the Beyond Burger and let me say...it was fire! It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. You couldn't tell it wasn't actual meat. I paired the sweet potato fries with it. They were really good as well- so good I went back for an order of them for lunch another day. The wings are really good as well. The sauce that comes on them is so delicious. I think everyone should try them. I know I can't wait to go back for some. The service was fast and friendly. The food was served fresh and hot. FYI: They have many guidelines to keep customers safe. Mask are required, 6-ft social distancing in place, and an electronic menu is available. read more

EAT LOVE LOCAL Next Stop Young Avenue Deli in the Cooper-Young area in Memphis Moving back to Memphis has opened my eyes to allll the great food spots we have here and I'm excited to bring you another one. I got the chance to visit this very cute bar and grill in the heart of midtown I started with the very cheesy and well battered Mozzarella sticks with a couple shots of Jameison and ended with this nice big ass juicy burger with a side of fries. I will tell y'all I'm not a big burger fan but these past couple of places that are known for burgers that's I've been too and I tried have been HITTING! My highlights from our random stop is that the actual venue is really nice. Large, open, pool tables, etc. the bartenders were great and on top of things! Really great service there. However the food, or what we had was.... Awful. Like really terrible. Do not get the steak and cheese, tastes like it was made in dog food water. The Reuben was horrible, corn beef was chewy and rubbery.... The fries were good though!! We were grossly disappointed and probably won't be back..... but like I said, Loved The bartenders! I love this bar and overall have had a good experience. Ellis is a great bartender and have always had a wonderful time with him serving me. I've been multiple times and every. single. time: Marie is not nice, not pleasant, not a good bartender. She is incredibly rude and I would honestly give better tips if it wasn't shared tips. I have bartended for many years myself and could never imagine speaking to customers the way she does. It's unfortunate because this bar is always a great time. read more

The pay lots all around minglewood hall were also full. We drove two blocks in each direction and was having trouble trying to find somewhere to park. We finally seen other people parking at a closed Baskin And Robbins, one street over. We didn't see any no parking signs. This was gonna be our only option. By the time we got parked and in line. It was getting very close to show time. There was a line out the door and it was moving very slow. They were having trouble scanning tickets. Their scanners were not working, so they were sending people to a window, to get paper tickets. We finally got in and seated. The show obviously started a little late. I have only been to Minglewood Hall one other time and my experience then was also less than stellar. The seating was just fold up chairs. They were so uncomfortable! A tallboy beer was $12! My son and I both love Brad Williams. I figured it would be a great to spend some time with him and see a good show. Although Brad Williams and his openers were great! This would turn out to be quite a bad night for us. When the show was over, we headed out to where we had parked. As we were getting close to the car, we seen about 20 other people. They were just standing aroung in the cold looking confused. At that point, we realized all the cars had been towed. In my opinion, this is why people don't come to Memphis for shows or anything. Way to much greed! The parking always sucks! Come to find out PB & J towing sits around the corner and waits on everyone to enter the show. Then they start towing people. If you do a quick search for them on here, you will see that they are very predatory in their practice. They have been sued and reprimanded by the BBB. I'm not sure how a place like this continues to do business in Memphis. That will be for another upcoming review. I know this is not completely Minglewood Hall's fault. But if you know, you don't have enough parking for the amount of sold tickets. You should try to work with your neighbors or warn people. I mean, come on, it was a Sunday night! The Baskin-Robbins was closed. We looked around and finally seen two very small signs on the other side of the lot that just said PB & J towing with a number. When you call the number, it just goes to a voicemail or disconnects. They are closed on Sundays! We had to Uber all the way back to Southaven, Mississippi. The Uber driver told us this is a every weekend thing. He picks people up all the time from PB&J towing in this area. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Minglewood Hall for anything. This ended up being a very expensive night!

We loved the music program of pop hits going back a few decades, some symphony standards, and some singers gave us chills. Walkin' in Memphis with full singers?
