Parking - was great decided to come on a Saturday mid day around 2pm pretty slow had the whole bar top to ourselves. Service- was fantastic Wife of the person who brews the beer is very attentive to everyone who comes in. She saw we were new and ran down the entire list making sure we knew what we were drinking. Down from a pilsener to a IPA she gave us samples. Product- Pilsner, Mexican lager, strong ale, and west coast IPA are all on tap and ready to go. I tried the Mexican lager recommended they put it in a michelada and guess what they have there own mix. HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting the Michelada. Ambience and conversation is here. Will definitely come back for another and another.

Great addition to the Southbay craft beer circuit. Oyster Beer is a must and their staff is very knowledgeable about beers too!

We went to this place on a whim and loved it! The brewer gave us the following samplers: rice lager, Mexican lager, pale ale, west coast IPA, oyster stout, imperial stout, blackberry ipa. Omg! I wanted to take all of them home. I needed all of them. We will take as much home with us. This is a must if you like beer. However: bring your food as there is no Food served. All these beers would go great with Mexican food, spicy Korean beef, burgers, or fries. Name the food and they have the perfect beer for it.

I've been coming here since the spot opened. Jeff is wholesome and brews a great Pilsner and Mexican Lager. Gose Cuervo is the best though--so have at it when available. The beer tenders are quirky and always keep your glass full. Today, The Crac was selling Ahi Poke w/ Sexy Pickles. Made by the man of many hats, Jeff himself. Food is not common at this establishment, but when it is . . . has a great fresh kick! Hope they keep at it! The Crac also has bands play, check their Instagram for events. Can't say enough great things about this place.

I got a chance to stop by The Crac recently after COVID restrictions lifted and was able to grab a beer on their patio. They just recently opened so they only have a few beers on tap, but the ones I did try were pretty tasty. I especially liked the Dia los Lager as it went down nice and smooth. Jeff the head brewer is also a really cool guy and he has plenty of experience in the craft beer world (Strand & Dudes) so it was great hearing stories from him. I will definitely be back to The Crac :-)

Very cool new brewery. We tried all 10 of their beers in a flight, everything but the hazy was good and true to style. My favorites were the rice lager and a smoked porter (very lightly smoked), hubby most enjoyed the Mexican lager and imperial strong. Extra points for simple yet cool decor, nice glassware and genuine, open conversation. In a nutshell: we had a crac!

Is this place ever open? We tried coming here twice on a Saturday, once in January and February, both times its closed. We tried calling and emailing, no response?

What better place to have a book club meeting than at a brewery?! Haha…read more My girls and I absolutely loved common place; such a vibe with such good music and energy! There's plenty of seating and I can imagine during this time (World Cup season) this place gets so packed and fun in the best way. The service was great. We had a lot of questions about the drinks. We were recommended a flight if we were unsure which you can customize; I definitely recommend this if it's your first time so you can try a little bit of everything. They had a vendor selling tacos, burritos and other Mexican style items which were absolutely delicious and with the drinks it was a perfect combo! I'm not sure if they change that side vendor or if they are a semi permanent partner with them, but I love that they offer small businesses an opportunity to sell their foods. I was told that they used to be located in a different area or accessing brewery was through another area so pay attention to signs, especially for their nearby parking. Although we had no issues finding this space! To end our fabulous book club meeting, we of course, had to take our festivities to the Photo Booth. Such a fun and cute little touch too and already cute place. I loved it and I hope I can catch one of the World Cup games here!

This is a great spot to checkout since it is only 15 min from the forum. When I was ordering my drink, I asked "do you have tasters or do you offer flights?" The female employee was just nodding her head as if I was bothering her with my questions and her giving me an answer was exhausting her. I tried to clarify.. "so yes you have both or just a flight?... so you offer flights?" I simplified it since apparently I was only getting yes and no head nods. She wasn't very friendly and only spoke when necessary. Mind you, it was a Wednesday at 5pm and the place was not busy. So it wasn't like there was a big game on and you are over annoying customers. There was nobody even in line when I showed up. My sister had the other employee help her and she said the same thing about her, not very friendly. I'm assuming it was the end of their shift and a male employee with facial hair took over. He was so nice. If I had a question about their offerings he would explain or suggest a sample. I remember he was nice and friendly the first time I went as well. All this to say, come for the beer and just be open minded about the customer service quality since it may be a hit or miss. I may give them another try because the beer is top notch. I really enjoyed all of their IPA's. Chubby Unicorn was one of the best milkshake IPAs I have had.

Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!
