Dropped by LA Ale Works yesterday. Big space, indoor, outdoor with patio seatings, music and dj. It's a fun spot to hang out and have fun. The staff is super friendly and do their best to provide great service and speedy service. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but they had some really good ones I enjoyed. Yesterday was pretty hot and I also tried one of their alcohol frozen slushies. I got the peach without the tajin rim and it was amazing! Definitely coming back when I'm in the area! read more

There's a ton of space here with plenty going on, which immediately set the tone for a good time. I randomly walked in to find Costco had a table setup giving away free Starbucks mugs for sign-ups and a DJ playing live country music. It was lively, unexpected, and honestly a fun vibe. That's what made the beer letdown even more confusing. I walked in with high expectations and still left disappointed. I ordered a michelada since I was with someone who had never tried one before. It definitely hit the spot, but it wasn't anything crazy. Solid, I'd give it a 7.7 out of 10. After that, I tried a flight, and surprisingly everything came across as average at best. Their lager was extremely bland and reminded me of Natty Light. To be fair, it's meant to be a light, easy-drinking beer, so I can give them that. I also tried the Limango, Cosmic Zoo, and Lunar Kitten. The Limango tasted a little flat. The lime and mango were present, but so subtle that it didn't feel as refreshing as expected. I had high hopes for Cosmic Zoo, but it ended up being disappointing and lacking character. The Lunar Kitten was last, and I honestly don't even remember the flavor, which kind of says it all. There was a big football game on, so the energy in the space was great and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but it did make me wonder whether people were there for the beer or just the ambiance. I'll probably go back at some point, but not on my own accord. read more

One of my favorite breweries if you're in the South Bay Area make sure to stop by here. They also always have a great food truck parked outside. I prefer the hazy ipa's and this brewery has a wide range of options which I am thankful for. Most in the area do like have many options like them. The indoor setting is comfortable and lively. Service is great and I enjoyed all of the employees recommendations. We will definitely come back. The only struggle with this place on a busy Saturday night is they only have a few bathrooms so we found ourselves wasting a lot of time waiting in that line with all our guests. read more

It was a beautiful day and a great day to have some beer and literally randomly it was decided let's stop here. It was really chill and I was able to find a spot to sit. They had a guy BBQing though I didn't have any it smelled great. There was seating inside and out but I think it would have been cooler if they had a DJ out there. There were people out there with their dogs so it's very dog frieidly. There were also people with their kids, a little annoying. I enjoyed myself, it was a good day for it. This is my second time coming this month and it's always a great time. My first drink was the Spicy Mango Michelada, and my second one was the Lavender Lemonade. I enjoyed both. Always enjoy coming here with friends. They have a good size patio with a tv outdoors for nice days as well as a decent amount of seating indoors and several TVs. They have a large selection of beers and I've liked all of the ones I've tried. They also have a good selection of non-alcoholic beers which is great. They have food trucks as well for a bite to eat. You just head up to the bar to order and service is generally pretty quick even if there's a long line. read more

This is my favorite brewery in the LA area, so I always end up here when I want a post work drink. It can get busy in the evenings since it's a popular spot with many bigger companies nearby. It's a large space though - seating indoor and outdoor. The staff are always down to earth and friendly. They frequently have various events and always have a rotation of food carts. I like that they offer a range of lighter beers as I cannot stand IPAs. They also have on tap hoppy and sour beer selections. The Belgian Shuffle is top notch. Los Angeles Ale Works has tons of taps! The 6 for $16 flight is a great deal. It gave me a chance to get to know the brews and relax on the day before Christmas. Taco LA catering outside. Didn't try it though. My flight - from best to not best: 1. Dead Cowboy red lager was excellent. 2. Basaltic black IPA offered tasty hops, a lil stanky, and was another total winner. 3. The Belgian Shuffle was a blonde who could dance. 8.0%! 4. The Fest Bier delivered the style as expected. 5. Down Sunset offers a decent West Coast IPA. 6. Sadly, I was disappointed by the El Lay pale ale. I was all excited for Los Angeles Ale Works top represent. No harm though, I was impressed by the sample of the menu. I also had a nitro stout that was good, but not exceptional, for $8. The service was friendly. The music funky, rocking and the 100% en Español. It's a nice-sized space. A few tables and high tops inside and a few big screen TVs. Lots of space to stand. Lots more picnic benches and the requisite corn hole outside. There's a large tarp-covered area with fake grass and a smaller fenced-in zone big a big screen TV. Scrappy! I have to acknowledge it's the main reason I come here. Just kidding! The brewery is spacious and conveniently located right across from Common Space. Parking can be tricky, though, as nearby businesses have their own designated spots. If you're planning to visit for a sports game, be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends. I really wish they'd open an outdoor bar to ease those long lines. They do have great food vendors, usually two on busy days, and offer a nice selection of beer, and slushy seltzers. read more

This place has plenty of parking and although it might look like it's in a sketchy area, it's deeper into the plaza so it's secluded from danger. Closes later than most breweries!!! I'm not a club guy/ dive bar guy so it's hard to find a beer passed 11. This place closed at midnight on Saturday. I was impressed with my coffee porter and the ambiance inside. I'm glad this place allows you the freedom to walk around and enjoy the space as you please... respectfully. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean for a brewery.
