One of my favorite breweries if you're in the South Bay Area make sure to stop by here. They also always have a great food truck parked outside. I prefer the hazy ipa's and this brewery has a wide range of options which I am thankful for. Most in the area do like have many options like them. The indoor setting is comfortable and lively. Service is great and I enjoyed all of the employees recommendations. We will definitely come back. The only struggle with this place on a busy Saturday night is they only have a few bathrooms so we found ourselves wasting a lot of time waiting in that line with all our guests.

It was a beautiful day and a great day to have some beer and literally randomly it was decided let's stop here. It was really chill and I was able to find a spot to sit. They had a guy BBQing though I didn't have any it smelled great. There was seating inside and out but I think it would have been cooler if they had a DJ out there. There were people out there with their dogs so it's very dog frieidly. There were also people with their kids, a little annoying. I enjoyed myself, it was a good day for it. I also bought a tshirt there and everyone was really nice. I'd love to come back.

An amazing selection of beers. A variety for just about any tastebud. I enjoyed the Belgian Shuffle and Pineapple Drift and both were an immediate favorite. A must visit while in LA. It has all the vibe of what makes Los Angeles a World Champion.

This is my second time coming this month and it's always a great time. My first drink was the Spicy Mango Michelada, and my second one was the Lavender Lemonade. I enjoyed both. My friends did get tacos and they said they were good. They also had a dj since it was a Saturday night. We stayed till closing and the vibes were great. Mona and Erick provided amazing customer service. We're looking forward to coming back to try all the different beers.

The last time I was here they hosted a Thai food truck and was bomb 10/10 pad Thai. Hannah was fun and attentive thank you for sharing this experience. Very spacious brewery with nice spacious tables!

The vibe and ambiance is great! I love coming here. The only downfall is everyone from work comes here after work. Haha. My suggestion is check their site for their weekly food trucks venues that come every week.

Fun, eclectic crowd Servers are knowledgeable and helpful with beer choices Many beer choices from lagers, IPA, sours and full bodied dark ales Easy parking in an industrial setting In the past, I have enjoyed many of the rotating food trucks but the fried chicken truck was not the usual quality I did not take away a star because not detrimental to my main adventure- great beer and chill atmosphere

Los Angeles Ale Works is one of my favorite local breweries--and for good reason. Located in Hawthorne, just a short drive from the South Bay, this spot delivers a consistently great experience with a strong lineup of fresh beers, a welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of perks for families and pet owners alike. The Beer: The beer is top-notch and brewed on-site. There's always something new on tap, but a few mainstays stand out. "Full Thrust" is a bold, hop-forward IPA that delivers on flavor without overwhelming your palate. "90250" is another favorite--a smooth, easy-drinking blonde ale that's perfect for chilling on a warm LA afternoon. Whether you're into lagers, hazies, stouts, or experimental brews, their rotating selection usually has something for everyone. Atmosphere & Vibe: The vibe here is casual and inviting. Inside, you'll find long communal tables, lots of natural light, and a relaxed energy that makes it easy to hang out for hours. Outside, there's a spacious patio where dogs are welcome, and kids often play while parents sip. It's not uncommon to see people bring board games or laptops during the day, or crowd around TVs during big Dodgers or Kings games at night. Events & Entertainment: Sporting events are a big draw--they've got several TVs and the volume up when it counts. The staff is always cool about helping fans find a seat or changing the channel. They also host food truck pop-ups, and community events fairly regularly. There's a little something happening almost every week. Food Options: While LA Ale Works doesn't have a full kitchen, they frequently partner with food trucks parked out front. The schedule rotates, so if food is a priority, it's worth checking their Instagram or website to see what's on the menu that day. You're also welcome to bring your own food, which is a nice plus. Things People Might Want to Know: * Is it family-friendly? Absolutely. You'll often see kids playing games while the adults enjoy a pint. * Is it dog-friendly? 100%. Dogs are welcome on the patio and sometimes even inside. * Parking? Free parking is available in the lot behind the brewery, but it can fill up on weekends. Street parking is also usually easy to find. * Can you bring your own food? Yes, and they also have a rotating lineup of food trucks. * Do they offer flights? Yes--great for sampling multiple brews. * Can you take beer to go? Definitely. They sell cans, crowlers, and growlers.

This has been my go to spot pretty much since they opened. The beer is great and they rotate it often enough to try something new throughout the year. The staff is so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel like you're all pals You can bring your dogs and your own food. They have lawn games during the summer. I miss when they had outdoor heaters because it can get really cold once the sun goes down. It's the perfect place to just decompress And best of all, almost all the food trucks that come are worth coming back for!

Love this brewery! Been coming here for years and it's been nice to seee it grow. The beers are always amazing. Their staple Lunar Kitty is delicious. I also really like their hard seltzer. They always have great food and music to go along with the beers. And they have some games to play outside as well. Service is excellent. Parking is abundant. Decor is so LA. You gotta check it out!

Ask the Community - Los Angeles Ale Works

Does this place have trivia night?

Thanks for reaching out! We don’t currently host trivia at this location, but we do host trivia at our Culver City location every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Hope to see you there!

Are there any hard cider or wine options?

They have a hard seltzer called the Cali Fizz it's good, it's light and tangy!

Will you be playing the Dodgers game today, 10/11/21?

    Of course we will!

With reopening are there TVs outside/viewable for the games? Thanks!

Yep they had TV outside today 10/10/20 for watching games

Does LAAW fill growlers that aren't their own?

Yup, they just cover the logo. Make sure the growler you bring in has the oz printed on or else they won't fill it.

Do they also have ciders on tap or bottled ciders for sale? Thank you.

No but they do sometimes brew milkshake IPAs which are really tasty.

Where is the list of pricing for all beers on tap?

They range from $5-$8 including tax.

    Is it kid friendly?

    Yes, there's even games!

You guys are dog friendly, right?

Yep, in the patio outside I've seen dogs hanging out.

However, after reflecting on the entire planning process, I feel future couples deserve transparency before making such a large investment. To start with the positives: the venue itself created a beautiful atmosphere for our wedding, Critic's Choice Catering was loved by our guests, and several setup details, including the welcome table and cake tables, were set up as planned. Many guests complimented the food throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the planning process behind the scenes was extremely stressful and, at times, disappointing due to repeated communication issues, inconsistencies, and preventable mistakes. From the beginning, Kaycie (the founder and coordinator) sold us on the venue by emphasizing that it was "all-inclusive" and offered things other venues did not. During our initial meetings, I specifically asked for an overall quote that included a dinner package so we could determine whether the venue fit within our budget. I trusted her expertise and guidance when she provided us with pricing, and because it fell within our budget, we decided to move forward. Several months later, we discovered that we had actually been quoted for an appetizer package rather than a dinner package. Kaycie stated that we had mentioned possibly bringing in our own catering company, but that was simply a question we asked while exploring options. It was never confirmed that we would be using outside catering. The difference in pricing was substantial, and we felt misled. When we raised our concerns, we were told that we should have noticed the pricing difference and asked more questions before submitting our deposit. As first-time wedding planners, we relied on the expertise we were paying for and expected accurate information from the start. Another concern involved what was actually included with the venue. During our tour, Kaycie proudly showed us a large book of linen options and explained that they offered far more choices than other venues we had visited. Later, we learned that glassware, china, silverware, tables, chairs, linens, and other essentials were not included as we had believed. As people who had never planned a wedding before, we did not know these items would need to be rented separately. We often felt like information presented in person did not align with information later provided through email. For larger weddings, I would strongly encourage couples to get every detail in writing and verify exactly what is and is not included. At one point, we were told, "We have no control over how you read and interpret our literature." As clients relying on the venue's expertise and documentation, that response felt dismissive rather than helpful. One of the biggest disappointments was the seating chart. Kaycie sent me another bride's seating chart as a template and instructed me to follow that format. I did exactly that and even asked her to review it beforehand to make sure everything looked correct. She confirmed it was fine. On the wedding day, however, families were split apart, couples were separated, parents were seated at different tables, and children were not seated with their families. We later learned that she had told some of our guests she could not fully read the chart. Had that concern been communicated beforehand, I would have gladly clarified it or come in myself to ensure it was set up correctly. Instead, one of the most important organizational pieces of the reception was mishandled despite us paying for coordination services and setup assistance. There was also a serious issue involving one of the bartenders, who we later learned was terminated. Multiple guests informed us that he refused to serve drinks unless they tipped him, despite the fact that we paid for bartending services and supplied all of the alcohol ourselves. Guests reported feeling pressured to tip, and one guest was even told, "I have rent to pay," before being asked to send money directly to him. Another guest was left in tears after an uncomfortable interaction. We were also told he attempted to charge for premium tequila shots using tequila that we had personally provided. Several guests commented that drinks were inconsistent and tasted different throughout the evening. I do want to recognize Brendon, the operations manager, who was kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. He listened to our concerns, acknowledged that these issues should not have happened, and took accountability for the areas where they fell short. His response was the first time we truly felt heard during this process. I understand that no wedding is perfect and that unexpected issues can arise. However, communication, accountability, and professionalism are critical when couples are investing significant time, trust, and money into one of the most important days of their lives.

It was a huge bonus being able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place, which made the day so easy for us and our guests. A huge shoutout to their in-house caterer, Critics Choice Catering--they did not disappoint. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the appetizers and dinner, and there was more than enough food for everyone. We received so many compliments on the menu, and our guests left full and happy. A special thank you to Kaycie, who went above and beyond to make sure everything came together perfectly. We truly couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to help bring our wedding day to life. Highly recommend!

What better place to have a book club meeting than at a brewery?! Haha…read more My girls and I absolutely loved common place; such a vibe with such good music and energy! There's plenty of seating and I can imagine during this time (World Cup season) this place gets so packed and fun in the best way. The service was great. We had a lot of questions about the drinks. We were recommended a flight if we were unsure which you can customize; I definitely recommend this if it's your first time so you can try a little bit of everything. They had a vendor selling tacos, burritos and other Mexican style items which were absolutely delicious and with the drinks it was a perfect combo! I'm not sure if they change that side vendor or if they are a semi permanent partner with them, but I love that they offer small businesses an opportunity to sell their foods. I was told that they used to be located in a different area or accessing brewery was through another area so pay attention to signs, especially for their nearby parking. Although we had no issues finding this space! To end our fabulous book club meeting, we of course, had to take our festivities to the Photo Booth. Such a fun and cute little touch too and already cute place. I loved it and I hope I can catch one of the World Cup games here!

But if there was a change in the contract by the business owner, your refund should be returned. The owner of Posh Place change the location of the venue due to not wanting to renew her lease due to complaints with her business neighbors. She moved the venue further out. My contract was based on her Carson location. The reason I choose this venue is because of the location. It was local for my guest. Not only did the owner make the decision to change the location due to her reason but she did not notify me until I contacted her regarding the party planning. The owner is also a party planner and decor which I was also using her services for. I was planning a sneakerball for my daughter in which my guest would have needed time to get their outfits together. I asked the owner for Save the date invites by the middle of February on January 22nd just to give my guest a heads up. I also confirmed with her that the Save the Date and the actual invitations would be done and she replied yes. I never received them. The party was supposed to be May 10th. On March 22, 2025, I sent the owner a text regarding what was included in the decor just to see if there was anything else I needed to get. She replied "yes, you on my to do list for today". When I finally talked to her on March 22, she informed me that she moved my event to another location. On Tuesday March 25th, I texted her letting her know that I would have to cancel the event due to the relocation. She quickly canceled my invoice which is fine but also sent me the distance to the new venue and the old venue from my house stating that they are with in the same distance (Carson and Cerritos). That was unnecessary because I was not going to be the only person at the party. I emailed her twice and text her regarding a refund ($300) of my deposit. As of today, I so have not received my refund.
