I got to check out Absolution Brewing Company when I signed up for a gyoza making class here. I never knew this brewery was in this location and it was a nice surprise to find this in the middle of an industrial business area. It's true hidden gem. This brewery handcrafts artisan beers using Old World recipes and New World ingredients. They have around 22 taps. Aside from beer, they often have different food vendors. Oso's BBQ is there on Fridays. They've also have rotating eateries such as Masala Boss Pizza, Smashed Up Burgers and Irie Tacos. The brewery also features a mini game room that has darts, a foosball table and a mini Photo Booth. This room is also where the cooking classes are held. Typically cooking classes are on Sundays from 12-2pm and require advanced ticket reservations. Overall Absolution Brewery is a good local brewery. I'm happy to have discovered this and love supporting local places like this. read more

This was neat place to come hang. We came here to watch a World Cup game but also they were having like a Special Pop up with authentic soccer jersey's for sale and they had some Food Trucks with some good burgers. Think they always have some type of food so you can have with beer and they allow you to bring the food. Seating is great they have some tables and the Bar area and sell some snacks as well. Love the amount of TV's they have and for the game they had a huge projector as well so if you come catch a game or playoffs it's a great vibe! I really enjoyed coming here, especially because it is a Galaxy bar. We were able to get some free Galaxy swag on gameday and they had representatives from the team there. My beers were nice and they also had non alcoholic options! I would have given 5 stars but the food they had unfortunately had no vegan options. Hopefully when I come back whichever truck or vendor is visiting has at least one solid vegan option -_- anyway, inside it is comfortable and cool, they have a lot of awesome stickers and things demonstrating their ties to the community. Absolution Brewing was an unexpected find but a pleasant find nonetheless! It wasn't on my "to try" list but was more of a spontaneous experience. Steve and I weren't disappointed in what we had either! What we drank was the FLOC'ing Great IPA. This was kind of a fun one as we appreciated the retro nod as far as the art and decor goes on the can and what have you. Flavor highlights with this beer are fruity, citrusy and dank. Found Absolution Brewing and I'm so glad I did! They have an impressive beer selection. There's something here for everyone. I ordered the Boysenberry Sour and Cardinal Sin, both very good craft beers, the skill behind the brewing process is very evident here. I also enjoyed a watermelon seltzer, 13%, infused with habanero and jalapeño and damn it was so good! The customer service was amazing! Randy was welcoming and knowledgeable. Another great brewery in South Bay. They have a large outdoor seating area with plenty of barrels and tables. There was also a food truck. Might wanna check their IG or call ahead to see what truck is set up for the day. They're also doing indoor seating and have a few TV's and a projector on the wall. Good spot to catch a game. If you're sitting inside, try to grab a high table or a barrel, the chairs for low tables aren't that comfortable. This is a good spot for small groups or a date. Their beer list is a really good mix. I got the Juuci Tart Pineapple Orange Vanilla (5.2%) it's a good tasting sour. Also got their Cardinal Sin (5.7%) that was a great red ale you can drink all day. I came here at an off hour, but definitely a nice, small, quaint place with decent beer selections (although, no stouts) to relax and enjoy a quiet conversation. I'm not exactly a beer connoisseur, and I usually only drink stouts; however, the pale ale I had was not at all offensive to me and was quite enjoyable. And yes, this place is tiny and so I wouldn't recommend coming here with more than six people as seating can be limited; although, I didn't check the back rooms but I did see a game room of sorts. Parking is a little strange here because it shares with other businesses, and so if you look for the signs that says it's parking for the brewery then you should be fine. First time at absolution brewery and we absolutely enjoyed our visit. They have good amount of seating on hand, including large bar counter with flat screen TV tuned to the latest sporting event. Plus they have game room in the back. Staff here are friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers on hand, including some delicious hazy and black IPA. We had absolution the sabbath black ipa and caipirinha double hazy ipa. Both were fabulous! The black IPA was surprisingly smooth and uniquely colored. Nice subtle scent of roast and pine. The hazy IPA has nice citrus forward hops and subtle flavor of dark rum oak. Very nice balance and not too hoppy. All in all, great place to chill with friends and family, enjoy cold one. Came on a whim and to watch some sports because I dont have cable lol. This place is super vibey! Most breweries are loud and full of rowdy guys. This place is mostly older, family oriented, a few kids and dogs. Tucked behind an industrial plaza, it was a bit bard to find but follow the tent signs It was Ugly Christmas sweater night so everyone was in a sweater but me. They had a band, a hibachi food truck and of course some great brews! They have a lot of Sours and Specialties that apparently Absolution is known for. I had the Juuci Tart Black and Blue which is fizzy berry with no aftertaste. I will definitely be back as the beers are tasty and this place has def South Bay Vibes! read more

Finally made it to Absoultion's tap room during one of our (Yay for Kong, Joe, and Sandya to come!) South-bay Beer Crawl. I've had many of their beers at food events so I'm no stranger to their craft. Their tap room, like most breweries, is located inside strip of offices. You can enter through their side garage entrance. Once here, you'll see they make a spectrum of varieties such as blonds, reds, saisons, IPAs, black IPA, and a few other fruit infused type beers. I would skip the strawberry here and get the Peach if you can if you like the fruit beers. As for the other beers, and we as a group pretty much went through almost the whole menu, they were good but not excellent good. I do highly rate a lot of their dark beer on the above average side, especially their Black IPA Darkened Angel and their anniversary ale on Nitro. The best deal here is to get 6 tasters for $12 and they'll trade you for 6 tokens each good for a tasters. The tasters are a good size pour and is a great value. The girl behind the bar is super friendly, and if you're not sure of something, she'll let you try a splash of it. If you have kids, they have a dedicated game room in the back right next to the bathrooms. Definitely a more chill vibe at this tasting room compared to the thugs at Monkish. (don't get me wrong, I like them too!) This place is also dog friendly and has food truck on weekends. On a recent visit to the South Bay/ Torrance area with some friends we were next door at Scholb brewery when I noticed their South Bay brewery map showed Absolution Brewing was right in the same area so I had to walk over and check this place out. It's a very relaxed and casual vibe here, the tap room is on the smaller side compared to most breweries but they do have an additional game room with dart boards, a foosball table, & board games. The beer selection is pretty big, they had about 20 beers on their tap list from IPAs, to cask ales, barrel aged, dark beers, and even light ales. The Mango Blonde ale, & Purgatory wheat beer were the stand outs that a got to try. The beer & the location alone make Absolution brewery worth visiting, there's another brewery right in the same lot, & both are pretty much in the middle of the South Bay brewery area so you aren't that far from other local craft breweries as well. read more

Over aggressive server when it comes to mask and vaccines. My wife and I were asked for proof of vaccination. First time I have ever been asked, so I had trouble finding it. Once I found it, the server then asked for an ID to verify my vaccine card. We chose to leave the brewery at that point. Absolution can get pretty damn busy, but there were quite a few people toting shiny Groupons. They tried to get to us when they could, but there's only so few of them and so many of us wanting beer. That being said, their deal is spectacular and looking at some of the flight prices that are not with coupons, it's pretty good pricing. For a flight of 4, it's $6 and for a flight of 6, it's $10. Their glasses are lined with 4 and 8 oz. pours and the Groupon people, like myself, had the 4's. They also had free mini Cape Cod chips to tide us over while we drank. I think if no one noticed, I'd possibly eat a whole bucket of them. There were a couple beers not available yet on the printed menu, but here are my favs: -Citra Punch IPA -- not too strong nor bitter for me, had a slight sweetness. Wish I had this first, but glad I had it as my last drink. -Possessed Joe Coffee Porter -- need I say more? -Holy Cow Milk Stout- a lot of head, but one of my favorites that I got a full size of. -Trespasser Saison- Fruity, light, sweet... smelled like honey to my uncultured beer sense. I have to warn you about the Revelation (not the American Revelation, mind you. That wasn't available. ) as it is quite bitter and hoppy.
