This is one of many breweries around the South Bay, but it definitely stands out because there's so much to do. There are plenty of games and entertainment. They even have a pinball room and if you're lucky, sometimes it's free play. There's also a pool table room. My only complaint is that during hot days there's no AC, so it can get pretty warm inside. Next to the pool room, there are even more pinball machines, shuffleboard, darts, and a seating area with lots of card games. If you check out their Instagram, they post which food vendors will be there since they don't have a kitchen. This is probably one of my go-to breweries because of all the entertainment plus the alcohol options, they have both beer and wine. The day I visited, there were musicians outside, and inside they were hosting trivia. The bartender was friendly too. read more

Stopped by on Friday (2/28/26) for their comedy night and it was on another level. It's hard to find good comedy nights these days, but their lineup was really funny. I had plenty of questions about all the different beers and the server was super helpful on helping me. Decide what I wanted. I decided on the imperial red ale. Which was definitely more like a male or a stout with a bright red sweetness to it. Very refreshing. The decor in the vibe definitely felt Hermosa Beach to me. To me, it's a solidly ok taproom. Beers are ok, vibe is ok. Parking is rough if you aim for their lots but parallel spots on the street are easier. There usually arent many people here. They have a large collection of pinball machines which is what sort of sets them apart from other local breweries. Hubbers called an audible and instead of dining at home, he suggested I check out these digs. He's been (with Big Bro and SIL) and he thought I might just enjoy it. Came through around 7pm-ish and this place is poppin'! All the spots on their private lot was taken and the first available street parking was over a block away! We were afraid we might not get an outdoor table since we had the with us. We got lucky: we scored the last one! I wasn't too focused on the brew since I was tunnel visioned with hAngerism. They had a vendor selling burgers and chips so Hubbers out in orders for us and got us brews as we waited. And talk about entertainment: it's karaoke night! Guests were putting their requests in, and although they were pretty good, it's the bartender and the DJ who stole the show! Amazing voices! Our food was ready by the time Hubbers came back with our first round of drinks. They had three kinds of hef's that night (we ended up having all of them - sorry, can't remember the names!) and they all paired pretty well with the grub. (Can't remember the name of the vendor either, I really should take more pictures!) We were entertained as we drank and ate. FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 3. PARKING: Private lot and street parking. It gets busy! OVERALL: 3.75. I'd consider it a family spot: there are tons of pinball machines and a couple of old school arcade games. Some brought their kids - as young as a few weeks old. So come down, bring the kids! (But please drink responsibly! Precious cargo!) We had a great time! Good selection of beer mostly consisting of IPAs but they do have a few sours. The best part about this place is all of the pinball machines they have. They have around 15 all in great condition. Also had a shuffle board table and lots of space to play board games. read more

This place is super new to the area, so my husband and I decided to give it a shot on Valentine's day before going to dinner reservations. It was pretty empty seeing as it was a Monday and it was also the day after the Superbowl. The staff is super laid back and are happy to talk about beer you're curious about trying. They have a bunch of arcade games in the game room as well as decks of Uno, and a Jenga set. There's a tall stack of Beer Paper to read if you're flying solo and a water tap to hydrate. They have food trucks a few times a week as well! The ambiance is very laid back and casual. One note for who put the plants on the walls--succulents need lots of direct sun and warmth. :) Will return on the weekend when it's much busier! read more

Had a great time there this last weekend. They had a pizza vendor on site with a mobile pizza oven: super delicious. Beer was great. I had the Czech your head and the Ollie Pilsner. Looks like they recently expanded the customer area to a big room past the restrooms. Tons more seating and places to hang. If you're a pinball fan, this is a sweet spot to visit. I love everything about this place but one thing....the AC or really lack of AC. It's to the point where I either avoid going there or when I do go, I leave earlier than I wanted to. They are losing money. This place can get pretty hot when it reaches the upper 70s outside especially in the pinball room right next to the taproom. Instead of using the AC they have these fans scattere about that don't do anything but push the hot air around. I don't understand the logic here especially when you consider that commercial power is usually super cheap and the pinball machines pull in good money when people aren't leaving due to heat exhaustion. I've asked the bar tender to turn the AC on but most of the time they tell me they aren't allowed to unless there is an event going on. Please fix this. read more

Pinball machine ate my money and I went to complain. Guy serving said he was gonna put a sign and gave me my dollar back as I walked back to the machine someone was playing at the machine. What a strange place. We were there for comedy night which we learned was in a back room but there were no signs. The beer selection was okay and the music was not exactly my taste (it was head-banging metal) and very loud. I highly recommend this place. When I first saw it from the outside, it looked small, but I was amazed by how big it was inside. There's a lot of seating and plenty of TV screens. While I prefer the beers from Monkish down the street, Hermosa Brewing has the better tap room in Torrance. Fairly sized parking lot for concerts and events. Arcade for hipsters. No flights, plastic cups, and lots of confusion. They had conflicting signs up saying closed for private event starting at either 1pm or 5pm, we were there around 3pm. Maybe those were for different rooms within the taproom but confusing to first-timers, we almost left when we saw the signs but ended up asking other patrons to confirm it was open to the public. Started to order a flight at the cashier after confirming with them that I could do a flight, but then the guy doing pours yelled over that they are not doing flights. Beer was great but honestly didn't come to a brewery to drink out of a plastic cup. Music was deafening. Laid back and chill brewery with AWESOME pinball machine set up! We enjoy taking our son, grabbing a beer, and playing some pinball. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and usually have a food truck available. I believe they also have a small pizza oven for personal size pizzas. There are two small lots for parking and there is usually available parking on Del Amo. They are hosting a weekly pinball competition on Wednesdays evenings which my husband is very excited about. read more

This second location is pretty amazing and worth checking out. The folks pouring the beer are friendly and helpful like they are in their first location. The space itself is unique, with a one of kind lighting fixture hanging from the ceiling, a ton of pinball machines, succulents on the walls, and a giant colorful mural as you walk in. It just has a great feel to it all around. There's a variety of beer to choose from--Hazy AF has always been a favorite of mine. Definitely get the Suitcase in Berlin if you like sours (this one is a blueberry sour which I've never seen anywhere else). They also seem to take food very seriously because the rotating food trucks that come have great food and never disappoint. Another thing I appreciate is that there are other breweries nearby so you can do a bit of a brewery hop too. This place is definitely worth stopping by for a pint! Enjoy! read more

Instead of checking to see if we were okay, we were never approached. This experience and rating is justified as things could have been way worse. Poorly handled situation, regardless this is your business and it is not your customer's fault instead there is a duty to uphold a safe environment and provide hospitality. I was on a quest to find a lunch spot near work where I could eat and play some pinball. I was pleasantly surprised to find Hermosa Brewing in Torrance (thanks, Yelp) and thought I would give it a try today. Made the 15 minute drive and the parking lot was completely empty which wasn't a good sign. I walked in, saw all of the empty tables and asked if they were serving lunch. I got the reply that the food truck would come later and that they only had pizza? I was completely confused. Maybe food is served at later hours? The website shows a fairly full menu, so maybe this is only at the Hermosa Beach location and they don't have a kitchen at the Torrance location??? So, I played pinball (basically an all Stern collection) on an empty, growling stomach (great selection and pins are all in good shape). Will come back for the pinball, but no lunch was disappointing. A little warm in the pinball area, but other than that - great room. 4 stars for the pinball only. read more
