Yoooo I have been going to "Craft Salon" since I was in high school at age 15 or 16. I'm away at college (21 now) but when I'm in town I always try to come say Hey to Marisa and get a nice cut! Marisa's team is also super trustworthy, as Matthew has cut my hair a handful times as well if she is booked! I was on hunt for a hair stylist near my area and by luck I was able to schedule an appointment at craft salon in such short notice . The stylist that happens to answer the phone was going to be the one giving me a wash and blow dry. Let me start with her etiquette in customer service is a plus, and when I met her, she is very kind and respectful. As we proceed to the service, she is very meticulous and detailed in styling the way that I asked and took her time. I'm not exaggerating, but her work ethic and skills brought me so much joy. Usually the big bucks is in the bigger project like hair coloring or cuts so to find someone who is willing to put this much time and care in a wash and blow dry exceeds my expectations. I have to start off by saying Matthew is by far the best hair stylist I've ever had! He is so personable and extremely talented. I got my hair dyed with full bleaching process for the first time and spending those 8 hours with him was a honor. He not only protected my hair in every way possible but he put such a creative twist on my original idea that I left flabbergasted with how amazing it looks. This salon is extremely accomplished and kind! I was able to pump breast milk comfortably and confidently. I really could not have asked for a better experience. I recently started coming to The Craft when it was still Bobbi Pins and I absolutely love the transformation! I get my hair done by Marisa and I am so thankful to have someone as talented as her do my hair. A friend of mine referred Denise because she specializes in color corrections and another salon messed up my hair. I feel like pictures explain it all so here is a before and after! The picture on the left is what the other salon did to my hair and the picture on the right is what denise did to fix it. This was only in one session, about 6 hours, because she didn't want to compromise my already fragile hair. She used Brazilian bond builder in my hair so that we could protect it from more damage, because it's been through enough haha. She was extremely gentle with it and I honestly was so relaxed I fell asleep, such a better experience in contrast to my experience with the other salon. I was intimidated about going to any salon for a haircut because I have been botched before by stylists not knowing how to work with curly hair. My friend recommended me to this salon and insisted I book an appointment with Jessica. My friend got a haircut that was similar style to what I as looking to get. I booked a consultation appointment with Jessica and told her what I was looking for in terms of my curl pattern, length, etc. Jessica was very understanding and heard me out about the specificities with my hair. I had the BEST Experience with Melissa. I am a stylist myself and don't trust many people with my hair. But she is so good about taking the time to Listen & really understand what your goal is. She's also amazing at relaying what realistic results would be with your hair. I have naturally curly hair and for other fellow naturally curly hair girls, I know how scary it is to get a haircut from someone new. I've been going around to different salons in the area the past few years looking for someone that cuts curly hair with long breaks in between since each one made me hopeless I would find someone! I got bored of looking through yelp review after yelp review and just called Bobbi PINS and asked them to schedule me with someone who could cut curly hair. I'm so glad I took the risk because they scheduled me with Ashley Wilson, and I finally found who I've been looking for! I usually go into haircuts and get talked into cutting it shorter to let the curls bounce, but I always leave looking like a poodle and hating my hair. When I told Ashley I liked the length but the curls were being weighed down, she didn't try to convince me to cut off a few inches. Instead, she talked me through how layers would be great to give the curls nice bounce while keeping the length I love. She fixed my disgusting cut at home bangs that were a huge mistake without any of the judgment hairdressers usually give you for cutting your own bangs haha, and trust me I totally deserved some judgment. My curls were already bouncing back to life while my hair was still being cut. I don't have a great before picture because I didn't really like taking pictures of my hair but I included a before and after. You can see how before my curls were starting to straighten out and look unhealthy. Ashley was super sweet and nice to talk to, I plan on going back to her soon for some highlights. I am giving this salon a 5 and my stylist a 5 star. They were all very friendly my apt was actually for 1pm but I completely spaced and came in at 11:00 and she still took me. Bobbi was amazing from the start she sat me down and asked what I wanted. Before my apt the day prior she texted me and wanted to ask me what I want I knew I wanted something different so I sent her a pic of what I thought I wanted than I came in and changed it all up she said ok and she wanted to do a test strip to make sure my hair would take so I said sure and it sure did and we proceeded to lighten my ends so she can finish my hair the color I wanted since my ends were not virgin hair. My hair does not feel dry or corase. She was very sweet and took her time she did not rush at all. What I loved the most is that all her co workers were like wow that looks really good they were all hyping her up. I came in there at 11:00 and left at 3:30 I am definitely coming back read more

Had a consultation with Denise last week and she was very thorough with explaining the steps she was going to do to get my hair from a washed out orange-pink to an ash gray color. Along with making sure my hair color was as close as possible to the reference photo, Denise also made sure that my hair stayed healthy and mentioned using olaplex(??) to keep my hair from completely drying out from the color removal process. Denise was also very patient when I couldn't make up my mind with which haircut I wanted haha, she also didn't charge me extra for the cut! (a salon I previously visited still charged me for a haircut after getting my hair color done). Denise can get a little heavy handed but it's not rough or anything, definitely recommend her for hair color/correction. Thanks for your patience Denise! read more

I had an appointment at 10:00 AM with the owner, Danielle, for an ombre plus a trim. I arrived ten minutes early. She arrived forty minutes late. Once we got started, I explained that I wanted an ombre for about half of my hair. I showed her a photo of the specific color and exactly how much I wanted in my hair (about 40-50%). She started to put in bleach and I noticed immediately how she was doing 80% of my hair rather than half like I had specified. I've never had my hair bleached before so at the time I figured she knew what she was doing. I was so wrong. While bleaching she kept leaving abruptly without telling me how long I'd need to sit there. Eventually, my friend who came with me needed to ask an employee where Danielle was because we were getting concerned about the bleach staying in my hair too long. When she finally washed it out she was shockingly rough with me. I was on the verge of tears when she would scrub and handle my hair. When I had any tangles she ripped them apart. We confirmed the color once more with the photo (a nice dark teal with lighter tips) before starting. I was worried we wouldn't achieve the color I wanted so I even sent the photo to her phone so she could reference it while mixing. She came back with dye that didn't look right. Again, I trusted that she knew what she was doing and that it might look different once applied. While adding the dye, she had another stylist help because of how much hair I have. The stylist helping commented that she was "so done with this". Yikes. At that point I knew this entire ordeal was a huge mistake. By the end, the employees there loved it and kept complimenting it once it was done so I had no idea how to say I absolutely hated it. Instinctively I lied my butt off and said I loved it just so I could get out of there. She texted me afterwards and I felt like I had to lie so I would never have to see her again. Once I got home I noticed parts of my hair were missed. Not to mention the shirt I was wearing was ruined by the bleach, which had been getting everywhere when she messily applied it. So messily, in fact, it'd splatter and get in my eyes sometimes. With that horribly vibrant hair color she gave me I didn't even want my neighbors to see me. It was so embarrassing I had to get it corrected at a different salon by a stylist I actually trust the next day. We contacted Danielle and explained everything that went wrong and requested half of my money back. All she did was get defensive. We didn't even receive an apology. I wasted 6 hours and $160 at Bobbi Pins Salon and completely regret it. I'm never coming back here again. read more
