Their crawfish prices were very, very good and I was impressed at the size of them! we went the first time and sat in person, and the staff was incredibly helpful and worked with us to make sure that our order was perfect. Crawfish tiny and hard. Hard to peel as well. They put so much powdered seasoning on the outside til they tasted gritty and dirty. They were also hard. And the corn on the cob was soggy and mushy. Went eat with some friends who live in youngsville that recommended this place for Crawfish . Let me start with the onion rings are Amazing . The boiled crawfish and shrimp were seasoned well but, most of the tray was very small baby crawfish . We asked about making our own dip and was informed that they don't allow that or have the stuff for you to do it and you have to purchase their dip that they make in house. A small cup was $ 2.50, disappointing !! We never experienced that before of all the places that serve seafood around our area that we have been to. I decided to do a crawfish tour for my birthday, so my boyfriend and I mapped out all the stops we would make. This was the first stop out of 4 in the Lafayette area. Apparently they don't sell crawfish until 4. We weren't the only customers that came in early for crawfish btw. We decided to try our other stops and come back. The service was fine. Our server told us to try the spicy which is always up my alley. We get the crawfish and immediately we knew it was going to be a miss. I think my boyfriend had two crawfish and he said no. I tried to eat them but the only seasoning was on the outside. The tails had no taste and there was no juice. We bagged them up and left. Once we made it back to Nola I still tried to eat them. I'm always skeptical when I hear that food was perfectly seasoned, but this food was PERFECTLY seasoned. I had the crash burger, onion rings, and some fried pickles, and it all exceeded my expectations. I was only able to eat about a third of the burger because it's big, and very briskety (it IS a brisket patty). I can't wait to try some other things from the menu! Service was quick and very friendly. I didn't dine in, but I thought "we're gonna have to come eat here when it's crawfish season!" Cool vibe. This was my FAVORITE place for crawfish!! UNTIL their heads got too big and built their new building and started selling liquor. Crawfish quality (taste, juiciness, etc.), has gone down tremendously. BUT a month ago I really wanted some blue crabs. Ordered 1/2 dz SPICY; and the person on the phone said they don't do crabs spicy, only crawfish. Well, little teenager, that's not what your FB post said. But I didn't argue thinking they would have AT LEAST BEEN SEASONED. I was the first person at 4ish pm, and went home with DAY OLD, COLD, UNSEASONED BLUE CRABS THAT I PAID OVER $30 FOR!! When I reached out to "Brian" I received no response. I just wanted to show them that I threw that garbage in the trash and wanted my $30 back. (RADIO SILENCE). I hope they are 'temporarily closed' because of a report to the BBB; because if not, I'm going to report. Their OWN FAMILY member HUNTER LAPOINT, left and started Coastal Fire and Ice because of this. Hunter started the Boss and then his family got greedy, started a whole hurricane of a mess and Hunter decided to leave and start all over again with Coastal. Hunter operated with integrity, something obviously he found on his own because his family (the crawfish boss owners) have none. We visited here and ordered 5 lbs of crawfish, 1 lb of shrimp, and a Dungeness crab cluster. When we got open and opened the bag, the crawfish were big and beautiful. However, the boiled shrimp portion was ridiculously small. There were about 20-ish 41/50 sized shrimp (the cheap, pre-peeled, tail on kind you get from Walmart or Albertsons) in an order of what should have been a pound. I immediately called to let them know about the small portion and provide them an opportunity to correct the issue. the guy on the phone as well as through a response through Facebook from the business let me know that they typically serve 20-24 shrimp in their pound order. Shrimp is literally sized by how many make a pound. It's glaringly obvious they didn't even attempt to properly weigh their portions and are deliberately undercutting their customers. In addition, there has been zero response or attempt to provide a decent level of customer service. Get your boiled seafood from anywhere but here. read more

Ok, these snowballs taste great BUT the WAIT is ridiculous. There weren't a lot of cars in line, but I waited for over 30 minutes. Would have made sense with a long line, but just a few cars in front of me, so I'm not sure why it took so long. You can hear the workers through the vent complaining about having to make spicy crawfish orders. One of the girl workers has the worst attitude and needs to learn how to talk to people. Not even a thank you for your order, just attitude. The curve to get in line has nothing on the sides my car fell off and it was $1500 to repair..I passed through the grass next time (no one else in line) and was told "don't pass through the grass like that again" I used to go almost everyday..not anymore. If you want good snowballs then this is the place to go! Usually the wait is about 30-45 minutes depending on the time of day you go. But it is so worth it when you get a bite of their Chantilly Stuffed Snowball! The employees are really nice and friendly. They trying to move fast, but when you're making speciality snowballs they can take awhile. I had their Chantilly Stuffed Snowball, and I was not disappointed! The snowball was flavored to mimic the frosting of the Chantilly cake, and it was stuffed with a whole cheesecake and fresh blueberries and strawberries. OUTSTANDING CRAWFISH! Visited The Crawfish Boss for the very first time last night to purchase boiled crawfish. I arrived at 5:45pm and waited in line. Only moments later, I had 20 lbs. of crawfish on board. Naomi first greeted me and treated me like an old friend, which is how it is done in Acadiana. Got home and my wife, son and I enjoyed our crawfish which were mostly large, well-seasoned and very easy to peal. In a word; Perfect. This place has the best boiled crawfish i have had from a commercial business I have had. However I went today and was sadly disappointed. It was horrible. this happened on 06/05/2020 at about 3:00 PM I ordered my crawfish the same as i always have 5 Lbs extra spicy. normally they boil the crawfish in the seasoning and its great. however today they decided to pour the seasoning on top and it was so badly caked on the crawfish it made my fingers and hands extremely uncomfortable nasty, sticky and just caked on. the other problem was I suck the heads as most us coonasses do there was no juices in the heads at all seems they were very dry which again is not the norm. I buy crawfish from there every Friday from the start of the season till the end. this one experience was so bad I'M gonna have to reevaluate if I want to give them another try. this was strike one and two. read more

The boss blasts and the snow cones were very good. My big gripe is the place is never open. Says it closes at 8:30PM. I've been there at various times from 6-8:30 and no one is ever there. So the consistency is not great in that aspect. read more

I am in town visiting from Dallas, and my FB feed has been flooded with pictures of scrumptious looking snow cones. When I arrived Saturday the line was wrapped around the building three times. Could they be they good? Well today I decided if the line wasn't long, I was going to give it a try. I was 10th in line, and 15 minutes later I was home with 2 of the best snow cone creations I have ever had! We tried the stuffed strawberry cheesecake and the chantilly snow cone. They were delicious, and we kept finding different layers the farther down we got. It was $12 for 2 large snow cones, and it truly is better than some desserts I have had in restaurants. So if you ask yourself "Is it worth the wait or the price?" The answer is yes! I cannot wait until we return in a few weeks for graduation, so my daughter can try them! read more

The snowballs are good. But I would not wait more than 10-15 minutes for one. I got a pina coloda stuffed with cheesecake and topped with strawberries, pineapple and blue berries. However, we were quite disappointed, they said the crawfish is medium to large, there were only medium, we found many that had smashed heads & tails, a lot of straight tails.
