First visit to the Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar yesterday and what a magical moment. I had never heard of this and my sister found it on Facebook. We ordered the Hot Fudge Nachos ($12)with housemade cinnamon sugar chips, bluebell vanilla ice cream, brownies, whipped cream and a cherry ($, Butter My Waffle Shake ($18.83 served in souvenir mason jar) which is vanilla ice cream caramel sauce, crushed butter finger, chocolate sauce, chocolate icing, sugar pearl waffle and whipped cream, and a Build Me Up Buttercup shake ($18.83 served in souvenir mason jar) which has both vanilla and peanut butter ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, Reese's peanut butter cups, peanut butter sauce and Reese's pieces. The ice cream is quality Blue Bell brand which already told me the ice cream is great. I will say that the shakes and a decent size and could be shared with a friend or family member as they are exploding with sweetness. I really enjoyed the Hot Fudge Nachos as it was a fun spin on a hot fudge sundae. This is definitely an experience I recommend! The man behind the counter was so exceptionally accommodating to make the shake with only hand dipped ice cream and no soft serve per my request. It's ok the do have some crazy milk shakes we had the pb one it was ok but I couldn't really taste any of the chocolate or pb sauce and for the price was not worth it my daughter had the cotton candy sundae which is basically the same as the milkshake minus the souvenir cup and it's half the price. Experience was not a good one. We paid almost $50 for two (2) fancy treats, and some of the ingredients on my wife's was super SUPER stale. I'm talking tasting YEARS old. Inedible. We brought it up to the staff, they asked for the rest of her treat back, and offered no resolution. Had they offered a resolution, given the price we paid, it would have been a better experience. We told one of the employees, who directed us to the manager, who did nothing but take the rest of her treat. Kinda made me upset they asked for a tip before they even provided the service--I wanted my $5 tip back, but it was too late! Aside from that, based on the taste, the ice cream they use is one of lower quality. All of the other ingredients are very high quality (aside from the extremely out-of-date one(s)). Company has very high potential, but because of the lower-quality ingredients utilized (in aims of higher profit margin) we will not be returning back & will not be offering recommendations of this place to anyone. In fact, we will advise others to steer clear of this place, since the focus on the high $$ and missing of the quality makes it just another "tourist trap," "give-me-your-big-dollars for not-much-in-return" type of establishment.
