Pleasantly surprised that the line that was outside the shop moved quickly. I wish they had a virtual queue so you don't have to wait in a long line in the sun. I love their peanut butter cold brew, the worker who made it was very friendly and the drink was tasty. I got the seasonal cookie for my sister in law and she seemed to like it, it was a peanut butter cold brew cookie.

The best cookies hands down. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon before departing home. My family always enjoys picking these cookies up while on vacation in Disney. As usual, they did not disappoint. We ordered the peanut butter cold brew (best special offered), triple chocolate chip, regular chocolate chip and were lucky enough to catch hot cookie hour. During this special time, you can purchase a hot cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for $10. Great vibes and very friendly staff!

It's genuinely a tough decision choosing where to eat in Disney Springs because there are so many great options. Gideon's Bakehouse is absolutely top tier and a must try when you visit. They will always have a line, but they are worth the wait. We did not have to virtual queue this time and only stood in line about 20 minutes. They gave us menu sheets of their current cookies to look at while we were in line. We tried the PB Crunch, Pistachio Toffee, and Banana Bread Chocolate Chip this time. I really don't think I could pick a favorite because they were all so different. I will be returning to try one of their cake slices someday!

We came here on a Saturday evening and the line was out the door - we waited a few minutes to enter, but it was worth the wait. Decor inside was creepy, but in a childish way. The line wrapped throughout the inside as well and it gave us time to select what cookies we wanted. We shared several amongst the 4 of is and all of the flavors were solid - super sweet, but large enough to fill us up however much we wanted. Prices were also decent for artisanal cookies. Overall, I would recommend this spot for a sweet treat! It was worth the wait, but maybe only if for less than 20 minutes in my opinion.

Wow what a cute little spot! It's almost like an amusement park ride because they went all out with the decor and theming. I love it and although there was quite a line when we arrived it went quickly and it was definitely worth the wait! My cookies were amazing! I was both happy and sad that I only bought 2! Sad because they were so delicious , but happy because I don't need the extra calories! I wouldn't be able to stop myself from eating them! I had the lemon poppy seed and the triple chocolate chip. Both were amazing. When I return to Orlando this will definitely be on my list of places to go!

This has been on my must-try list every time we've visited Disney Springs, but the line is usually 30-45 minutes long. I've always wondered if these cookies could really be that good. After finally trying them...I'd say they're absolutely worth the wait. Luckily, we stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon and only waited about five minutes. It was scorching hot outside, but they have umbrellas every few feet along the line, which definitely helps. I had always imagined walking into a large bakery or café where you could sit down with a cookie and coffee. Instead, it's actually a tiny, dark, whimsical shop with a queue that wraps around to the displays. It almost feels like you're walking through a Harry Potter-inspired attraction with its gothic décor and old-world bakery vibe. Despite the small space, they have three checkout registers, so once you're inside, the line moves surprisingly fast. One tip for first-time visitors: don't rely on the cookie menu on the website. Many of those flavors are seasonal or limited editions. The menu card they hand you while you're waiting in line shows the flavors available that day, so decide what you want before you get to the register because ordering is pretty quick. Now for the cookies... Banana Bread Chocolate Chip - 20/10 Without question, the standout. It tasted like warm, homemade banana bread with added chocolate transformed into a giant cookie. Soft, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. I would come back just for this cookie. Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip - 8/10 A delicious combination of sweet, salty, crunchy, and gooey. I can definitely see why it's one of their most popular flavors, but the banana bread still stole the show for me. Cookies & Cream - 5/10 It was just okay. Very rich and sweet, like a giant Oreo cookie but it didn't have the depth of flavor or uniqueness of the other two. I probably wouldn't order it again. The cookies are huge and easily shareable. The funniest part? My son bought an extra cookie to take home for his girlfriend...but after one bite, he decided to keep it for himself! And that's saying something because he's really into health and fitness and rarely eats sweets. If you're wondering whether Gideon's lives up to the hype, I'd say yes. The wait is worth it, and the Banana Bread Chocolate Chip completely stole the show. It's the cookie I'll be thinking about long after this trip.

This was a fun one. I have a few reviews to catch up on but this was kinda fun. The outside of Gideon's basically looks like something out of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings had an edge to them with and was filled with goth music playing for Snape. The outside looks like the entrance to a haunted ride and the line to enter confirms it. The inside is decorated super gothic feeling like an old edger Allan Poe poem. Speaking of which, all the old books aren't for show. These are actually aged real readable books, some probably worth quite a bit. There is an actual authentic 1829 "Works of Edger Allan Poe" book right at the counter. Expensive. The cookies are large thick and filling. Not to sugary at all. We had pistachio, cookies and cream, banana chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip. Now here's the thing. They are great cookies cause the flavor isn't just a cup of sugar and some dough. You can taste the flavors and they work. But don't expect an explosion in your mouth. It's obvious they are going for real flavors that allow their own sweetness to shine. Here is the best thing to do. Cut your cookies in half and share amongst friends, or if your big backing have it all. BUT I refrigerated them over night and had one after a minute in the microwave and another cold straight out of the refrigerator and WOW! It took a very good cookie to something spectacular. The flavors just POP! I don't know what which-craft is involved in this but the spell definitely works. Find Gideon's, make the line and get a mix of cookies and a few slices of cake and head home for some Netflix and dessert!

There is always a line. That's ok because it moves quickly. We waited 15-20 minutes and really lucked out because the line got increasingly bigger behind us. Cookies worth the hype? OMCookie-yes, they are. Red velvet cake worth the hype? You bet your sweet *** it is. The scratch-made cookies are nearly a half pound each. The chocolate chip cookie is yum. Two people can totally share a cookie. They've got other cake slices as well as iced coffee. The gothic bakehouse decor is everything and more. They have a secret menu and limited-run goodies too. Treat yourself, you deserve it!

Even though the line looked long, I think I was in and out in about 10 minutes. They give you a QR menu card so you can know what you want when you get in, which speeds things up. It's all to go, no where to eat inside. The place is very gothically decorated. Dark, with just the pastry illuminated. My Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cold Brew was AMAZING. And the cookies were soft and delicious. I got the Key Lime Chocolate Chip and the Coffee Cake cookies. Definitely worth the wait.

    Linda T.

Cookies are very rich and yummy. I do love chocolate chip cookies so I had to try this place. The cookies did not disappoint so I don't feel bad paying $7 a cookie. I don't know that I would wait in the heat if the line is super long. I heard there is always a line. On a Monday afternoon, the line wasn't ridiculous, moved fast, but it's because they rush you. I felt rushed and pressure when it was my turn. We checked the menu in advance so we knew what flavors we wanted. I'm glad I tried it but in my opinion, it's not a "must do" thing.

    Donna R.

The cookies are what you should come for . Moist fresh and delicious. You can eat on these for a couple of days or share! The cake was moist and fresh just too much icing making a too sweet. There was a line but it was always moving.

Gideon's has some of the best cookies in town! Anytime I'm in the Orlando area, I try my best to get to Disney Springs to get at least a half dozen of their amazing cookies! Been getting cookies here for years, and I'm never disappointed. So if you're ever in the Orlando/ Disney Springs area and love cookies, give them a try!

This is an extremely famous and popular bakery at Disney Springs! There is always a line here. Sometimes it gets so long that they move to a virtual queue system where you check in and receive a text when it's your turn to enter The day we visited the line was not too long - it was about a 20 minute wait. They will give you a menu card to look at while you wait so you can decide what to get. They have a variety of cookies, cake slices, and coffee drinks. They also have merchandise including aprons and metal cookie tins. The interior is quite small and the decor looks like Harry Potter meets Haunted Mansion. The staff were very patient and friendly. We tried two cookies - the chocolate banana bread and the cookies and cream. We also got two nitro cold brew beverages and some merchandise. The cookies were outstanding! They are huge and thick and almost a combination of a cookie and a cake. Despite their size they were moist and surprisingly not overly sweet. I really loved the "French toast" flavored nitro cold brew. Extremely smooth and flavorful. Gideon's is worth the wait!

I ordered the bowl of gumbo same as last time, but this time instead of the "add lump crab" option offered in June, the only add-on option was to add shrimp for $12. The shrimp were cold and layered on top of the soup, and didn't add as much to the dish as the crab offered previously. The gumbo was noticeably less spicy this time, and the accompanying "toasted baguette" slices were the consistency of croutons. The appetizer/side of truffle French fries arrived as a generous yet barely warm portion. Each of the 3 desserts we ordered were great: Celebration Cake, Champagne Raspberry Cake, and the Apple Pie. Our table was impressed with the amount of thinly sliced apples stuffed into the tall slice of pie. Yes, the cake slices are still notoriously large and expensive. At $22 per large slice a single portion equals 2 slices of cake that would be priced around $12 each, so your dessert math may make this price point a value if you intend to share. Service was fun and friendly. The biggest qualm on this visit: The hostess outside in the front of the restaurant was passive-aggressive in the most chipper way of being unhelpful upon my arrival. Didn't set the stage for an amazing experience.
