We just got back from visiting Ireland and after a long day, we stopped at The Creamery for dinner and it was the BEST meal of the whole week. We could not stop talking about our food AND service! If it wasn't 5,000 miles away from me, we would be regulars.

Had dinner here at this great pub next to our hotel with a fairly large group from work. Large choice of local beers and Guinness and American beers. We opted mostly for Irish stew and fish and chips which were fantastic ! Great service and the food was nothing less than fantastic. The Irish stew was meaty and rich, the cod was true fish and chips and more than most could eat. Great location.

    €12.20 fish n chips...Delish!

Decided to come here instead of Durty Nellie's because Nellie's had bad yelp and tripadvisor reviews regarding the food...don't know what Nellie's is like myself, but The Creamery has friendly staff, good food at reasonable prices, and a nice clean interior. €12.20 Fish N Chips...delicious. €6.00 Seafood chowder...yum! The Irish know chowder! €6.00 Irish Coffee...fantastic! €3.90 Beamish...tasty and smooth.

I'm don't normally nitpick about service in my reviews or give a one star review because of some small oversight. But our service experience here was supbar. We stopped in for lunch after touring Bunratty Castle. The food was mostly good - fish and chips and salads were tasty, the Irish Stew was watery and not to our taste. We ordered dessert which never came and it was a long struggle to find somebody to pay the bill. My entire group had left to go shopping and I'm sitting there waiting for literally 30 minutes with no service. We did mostly enjoy the food. One other thing that we don't understand... they have a sign outside that says "The Creamery Bar. Food served all day." We dropped in for a late dinner the prior evening and were told the restaurant was closed... what?

Located in the centre of Bunratty (if that's possible in this quaint little village). The inside is quite open and brights. The staff were polite and not exactly friendly unlike the other places here in Bunratty. I ordered garlic battered mushrooms for started which was a good sized portion and tasty including a nice side salad. For main I had fish and chips of course. Looked amazing with the side of tartre sauce and minted mushy peas. The taste was unfortunately only mediocre despite its amazing looking appearance. The edges of the fish was overlooked and the chips were chewy. For desert I look the rhubarb tarte and custard. Again well presented but was warm at best, both custard and pie. Nice touch of the iced water brought immediately to the table as I sat down. Although technically nothing wrong with the place, and only 4 main restaurants here in Bunratty I will not return here unlike I would with J C Clarke's close by.

Gah. I hate being the odd man out, but while the atmosphere at The Creamery Bar delivered, and was complimented by friendly staff, the food wasn't good. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? As I touched on, The Creamery Bar has an excellent atmosphere, and is a great contrast to the tourist trap that is Durty Nelly's next store. Yes, you're probably here because you have a flight in or out of Shannon, and it's not the most exciting part of Ireland, but The Creamery Bar provides what you need to kick back for an evening. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Ireland is a bit on the expensive side if you haven't yet noticed - at least when compared to a US benchmark. That being the case, €13,00 is reasonable for a burger with a side: http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=668ZigG6CK5oaf7CxwAJLg&userid=OKX-V5j_qfuOebeHeWGrHg Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? And then, it all fell apart. Let's start with the burger. If you can't yet tell from the pictures, this was truly nothing worthy of note. The patties were okay, but lacked flavor, and were sandwiched in a very mediocre, store-bought bun. Not good. The mushrooms added just a little bit of flavor, and the pepper sauce, clearly meant to contribute the largest portion of flavor to the dish, was nothing short of overpowering. The potatoes were clearly scooped with an ice cream scoop, and tasted powdered. Very disappointing. No Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? While the atmosphere is solid, The Creamery Bar fails to deliver with respect to the food. No Star Granted.

Located across from Bunratti castle in Shannon Ireland. My first visit here but the person that brought me here is a regular. He comes here every time he's in town and that's been about 10 years. Atmosphere: Very traditional Irish pub. Interesting decor. Great for families or couples. Menu: A variety of choices to satisfy any taste buds. I got the fish and chips and it was delish. My friend got the lamb stew, which is his favorite. For dessert I got the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and my friend got the creme brûlée. The creme brûlée was absolute amazing with a crunchy topping and the cheesecake was made to perfection. Not too rich or too sweet but perfect. Kudos to the chef!! Parking: Nice size parking lot free of charge. Will definitely return. I recommend it.

Went here on my last day in Ireland with a family of 5 (including me.) I had the chicken curry w/chips. Was not disappointed; I'd never had curry before this, but I really enjoyed it. They served me an enormous portion. Staff were meh in terms of service which is why there's not a fifth star. Other than that the atmosphere (vintage creamery equipment + wood furnishings) was really quite lovely. Would absolutely come here again.

This was our first stop of our vacation and the food, the service and atmosphere was just perfect that we decided to made it our last stop before flying home to the states...

Overall this place was a good stop. The waitstaff although friendly, it was unclear who our server was but multiple people asked if we needed anything and would take an order for us. The food was good and it was clean. The fish and chips were the best part. The fish had a delicious crispy fry to it. My husband had the chicken wrap which was good but let's be honest, it was a chicken wrap.

    Trout. Which is really salmon.

Would recommend a Beamish pint, the daily fresh fish is very good. We had trout and Hake.

The pie of the day, not on the menu, was steak and kidney, which I had to try "for research purposes". The pastry crust extended to the sides and bottom so it fully enclosed the filling and was served "freestanding". Crust and gravy were excellent. In the filling, both the steak and the kidneys were plentiful. My research completed, I probably wouldn't order it again; just give me the steak - no more kidneys please! Nevertheless I did enjoy and finished it. This was served with decent fries and a truly excellent green salad: a variety of leafy greens, radishes, cucumbers, pickled onions, and pre-dressed with a vinaigrette. The wife had the Beef & Guinness Casserole, served with brown bread. Along with steak there were also plentiful veggies (root vegetables and celery) and mashed potatoes in the center. She liked it. I tried it and agreed. I would get that next time. I had a Jameson Old Fashioned to drink and it was the best Old Fashioned I've had in some time. The unusually large twisted orange peel probably contributed and it may have had more than the customary amount of bitters. The wife's tea was amusingly served with a knitted "cozy" keeping the teapot hot. For dessert we shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding, served with vanilla ice cream, attractively presented with a dusting of sugar, whipped cream, and a ground cherry complete with its leaves. I'd rate it second among the three I've tried so far. Would certainly order it again. As for the pub I can't say. It has a reputation for good traditional Irish music every night but unfortunately not until 9:30, way too late for us. Sadly we're just not pub people.

Murphy's has great character and friendly service. It's a pub and a restaurant, but the atmosphere…read moreis definitely dark and pub-like. Very noisy when busy, but that's part of the fun! Music starts at 9pm. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had fish and chips, the stuffed chicken and sticky toffee pudding. Washed it all down with a couple of Guinness and a Red Spot whiskey! It was a lovely meal.
