The reception area was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the King suite with balcony overlooking their pool. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. They give you the basic toiletries. Hot shower and giant TV that can be swiveled. The pool closes at 10 so it's quiet after it closes. We used the pool and were the only ones in it. No restaurant or lounge but there are local restaurants nearby. It appears this is a family owed and run hotel. We would stay again.

We were a little bit unsure about staying at a little private hotel...not sure what to expect from a non-name brand place...especially concerned about cleanliness. We needed a place to stay on short notice, though, on Christmas Day when weather cancelled our campground reservation. We called the hotel number and easily made a reservation. Even though it was Christmas Day, the staff was flexible with our check in time and very accommodating. This is an older hotel with individual doors that open to a breezeway, no interior hallways or common lobby. Our room was VERY clean, though, which made me very happy. Actually probably one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. No dirt even in the corners of the bathroom. Furniture was in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet at night, but not sure if that is typical, as we were the only guests and the restaurant/drive thru was closed for the season. Things we loved: Pleasant and helpful staff, very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed. Quiet heating system (not a typical noisy unit like most hotels). There were microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker available in our room Little things that we loved not so much...couldn't adjust our individual room temperature....although we could request that the office adjust it. The shower pressure was adequate, but could be better and the tub drain was a little slow. The door locked with key with only a doorknob lock (which was kind of loose) and a chain, no deadbolt....although this was not a big city where we felt particularly unsafe. My guess is that locks are not generally needed in this community. Credit cards accepted, but have an up charge. We would, without hesitation, stay here again.

We stayed for two nights and the maid came in and cleaned up and restocked our towels and made our beds in between which is amazing most places do it every two days! It was nice to have a made bed again!! The free hot breakfast was delicious and the hotel has pleanty of parking and is near tons of shopping and fast food and a Wal Mart. For dessert, we were lucky enough to try several creations made by Kim Davis, and they were phenomenal. The bar offers a number of handcrafted cocktails, I was so conflicted about which to order that I told the bartender I would just go down the list- and she happily obliged. Dinner hadn't quite started yet so we ordered food from a limited lunch menu and made friends with the bar patrons. After all, it's still a small town and everyone around is incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, due to my overly enthusiastic cocktail buffet, I didn't make it to dinner. Luckily, I had a gorgeous room to stumble back to, and when I woke up, the minibar snacks and drinks truly saved my night. I absolutely think you get great value for the price of a stay here. You get the sophistication of a luxury hotel without the steep price and pretentiousness that you'd find at a similar hotel in a bigger city. I can't wait to return!

My boyfriend has the IHG credit card and because of that is a Platinum member, and we used his points to book a standard King room. I believe they upgraded us to a King room with a small kitcheonette and sitting space. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel is right next to the highway and you could hear cars, but it was more of a white noise. IHG has apparently been working on upgrading its hotels, and you can tell - the room had a Keurig and a few other amenities. The Dove body wash and toiletries were also really nice. I was most impressed by the hotel breakfast today - variety of hot items like sausage and room temp items like cereal etc. They had a make your own pancakes machine too, and a fridge full of yogurt, mini water bottles, milk and chocolate milk, etc. They also had to-go boxes, which I've never seen before at a hotel breakfast, presumably if you wanted to eat in your room or take it on the road with you. Only negative things I can say was that the bathtub was small (I prefer baths to showers) and you can definitely hear the highway noises at night, but it wasn't super loud.
