I ordered from this Newton florist a delivery of flowers that I thought would be a nice surprise for my wife until she called upset over a conversation with the florist's delivery driver apparently he couldn't find 'A St' in Needham as my wife tried to give him directions he starts arguing with her that there is no A St in Needham this went on for several minutes until she had to hang up because the guy at that point wouldn't let her finish her sentence. I called florist at 1:30 got the VM I requesting some intervention/assistance with the delivery and a call back to discuss the drivers unfortunate attitude they never return the call. I was at work looking at my calendar, and then it suddenly occured to me that it was my mom's birthday. It turns out that I've been so engrossed by school and work that i've nearly forgotten about my mom's birthday. Unforgivable! My schedule for the day was packed, so I needed something ASAP. In a perfect world, i would've wanted to be able ambush her to her dream house, but that's not going to be happen until maybe 10-20 years down the road. I ended up walking into Crimson Petal during my lunch break and had Lee come up with an arrangement for my mom. I was able to get in and out the store within five minutes and For those that know me, i'm a firm believer that time is money, so i was really happy considering how fast i was able to get in and out of the store. On top of that, the arrangment was BEAUTIFUL. My mom ended up really liking the arrangment and the flowers still look as good as it did a week and a half later. I've ordered from this florist twice now and both times have been really great. I was looking for a local place in Newton, so that my mom would get her flowers as fresh as can be. I don't live in MA anymore, so I'm not as familiar with places, and I had to try out Crimson Petal to see if it would work out. The woman that I spoke to was very accommodating, pleasant, and easy to work with on my arrangement. I wanted peonies, orchids and didn't want other certain blooms. The order was as I requested. Can't ask for anything more. I will be ordering from Crimson Petal anytime I need something for my mom. read more

The delivery we paid for was never made to the intended recipient. I told them they could leave the flowers at the house next door, and they dropped them off two blocks away so of course the neighbor didn't bring them over to my friend. We were very disappointed in the delivery service and the way the management responded, which was to say there was nothing they could do. The management also said my friend's voicemail was full when it was not. read more

This is such a wonderful place! Thank you to The Crimson Petal! I had an issue with my delivery order through Yelp (this was entirely Yelp's fault and no fault of the business). I contacted the team at Crimson Petal and they were so understanding and helpful! They re-took my order and delivered flowers to my mom that day! Yelp was quick to take my money (Yelp charged my card) but the order was never submitted to Crimson Petal or their online vendor, for next day delivery -- again at no fault of the business. The team at Crimson were kind enough to work with me while I disputed the issue with Yelp. This made a potentially stressful (and costly) situation so much less stressful. Found a nice selection on the Crimson Petal's website - I was looking for something festive but not too fall-colored. Classy, elegant, atmospheric. The Crimson Petal delivered in more ways than one. On my e-order, I requested a delivery before 2 PM, which seemed to be no problem. Received an electronic confirmation that included a photo of the arrangement. $75 including delivery/tax for deluxe/premium. Did I mention I placed my order less than 48 hours before Thanksgiving? I walked in 20 minutes before they closed, already late for dinner party at a friend's home. The florist was wonderful and greeted me right away even though she was working on a big wedding. The owner and her colleague took care of my very last minute order (in fact, just as they were closing!) of two bouquets -- and didn't bat an eyelash when they realized I'm totally bossy about how I like my flowers to look. The Crimson Petal is an independent florist that is part of the teleflora network. The Crimson Petal has a gigantic 20ft long walk in cooler where you can build your own bouquet one flower at a time. Doing that is sort of an alice in wonderland experience if you like flowers. Local delivery is $11 if called in before 2pm. read more

Most of my experiences here have been perfect. They have a beautiful selection of flowers and can help you make gorgeous arrangements. The prices are high in my opinion but that's to be expected for an independently owned flower shop. Usually I love the arrangements the florists help me make, but yesterday I popped in on my lunch break to get a Valentine's bouquet for my mom, and the woman who helped me picked some flowers that looked like they were already bruised and not in great shape. The bouquet had 3 roses (which were perfect, thank god), and an assortment of 9 other flowers (including some fillers and a carnation) and it came to 45 dollars. I think they should ring up the flowers before the bouquet is finished, not once its all wrapped up, because one person was listing off the flowers in my bouquet without even really looking, and the other was ringing them up. I felt I was over charged. That being said, that was just one experience out of many. My other experiences at Crimson Petal have been great. read more

Ordered birthday flowers this morning online stating that I wished "fresh, and I mean fresh" flowers. Have you ever gotten duds from a florist? I then called and inquired about freshness. The woman answering the phone was affronted as though my question was absurd. She said "of course our flowers are fresh." I was satisfied and said so. A couple hours later, I get an email saying the order was canceled and refund. I called and she said I was condescending. Hey, I am the customer paying good money. Too often I have received flowers or sent them from so-called fine and well regarded florists that were ready for the trash heap. So I have every right to know what is what. This place has good reviews but is ultra sensitive to the customer's concerns and inappropriate. It is certainly appropriate to inquire directly and with detail about the quality of product. I called another florist who gave me no gruff about my question and sent the flowers out. They were received while I visited my friend and were beautiful. No muss, no drama, just the flowers beautifully done. So Crimson Petal, get a grip! read more

I wanted to send flowers to a friend for hosting me at their home. I placed the order online and was very specific for flowers to be left on the porch the day before my arrival. When I arrived I asked my friend if she has received flowers and she said no. I immediately called the florist and indicated that the flowers were not delivered they said they will delivered it that day and nothing seam thing for the following day. I asked to talk to the owner since her employee (Danielle) was of no help and explained the issue and requested a refund. She said she will not refund my money because I order thru a third party which was not true since they called my friend directly to indicate they had an order of flowers to deliver.
