Awful place to work. The supervisors have favorites, are rude, unappreciative and dishonest, and just about every shift is understaffed!

I set up care for my grandmother while I was out of the country. I informed the caregivers and company of my departure. They called my 91 year old grandma and told her money was due. They didn't explain to her there was issues with the auto debit (yes, they require you to debit from your account). She had no idea there was an issue with payment. She thought they were telling her the bill. She doesn't even pay her own bills. They emailed me saying they terminated services and were proceeding with legal action for non payment. I was out of the country, in the jungle, and could not receive signal. If they had simply mentioned to my grandma payment wasn't received, she could have communicated to me the issue when I drove into town every day to get signal to call her. But they didn't communicate that. They left my grandma, at 91 with a broken femur, by herself and threatened unnecessary legal action, all because they have issues with communication within their company. If they're not communicating effectively, that really worries me for the "care" they're providing to their patients. This started out as a life saver with their care, and turned into a nightmare when I needed them the most. Please be aware you will have to watch this company. Several caregivers they sent were old and out of shape. They couldn't have picked up my grandma. Especially, if you get Kim. She just plays on her phone in the other room. Maria and Claudia are incredible. I can't say enough good things about them. But we rarely got them. I paid for an old lady to watch an old lady 90% of the time. I could keep going but this topic is incredibly upsetting. Update: The owner reached out to me, but wouldn't make time to sit down with me to discuss my issues. He's too busy, but can take a phone call only. Business owner to business owner, If you really cared about your business, you'd make time. I care for 2 elderly people and own two businesses. I also workout 3 hours a day. You make time for what matters to you. It's simple. Additionally, I woke up to an unauthorized charge debited from my account when they have been paid in full. I guess I'll have to get an attorney involved. This whole situation is ridiculous. This isn't my first rodeo with home health care. The hospice service that came for my mother gave us zero issues with billing, staff, etc. Visiting Angels was, and continues to be, a nightmare in disguise of a blessing. These people just won't get out of our lives. It feels like harassment at this point.

To begin, their intake nurses are rough, belligerent and detached. The lady we got could care less about my mother, she just wanted to do the minimum and get out. Not a single commitment was upheld, not one. We called for support and help four times in the first week and the average time to hear back from someone was two hours, then another two hours for a nurse to arrive. So if you have an emergency, just call the ambulance and have the hospital take care of it, it's faster, and your loved one will suffer less. Now, as a result of me firing them, they became hostile, threatened to make me pay for equipment they left behind and failed to retrieve. They never took into consideration that my mom had died and their employees, having missed the appointment to pick up the equipment, lied and said a dead woman was preventing them from getting it. We choose to go with another company who was hands down better suited for caring for end of life patients. Houston Hospice is a money game, you are a dollar sign, if you are cool with that, then use them.

Very unprofessional and disorganized business. It's even more worrisome because it has your - or…read moreyour loved one's - health insurance and other intimate information. So when my sister texted me they contacted her, I called them back and was very blunt and up front. Information had not been updated and changed and I should be the first contact. Dad moved with me and the past weeks had been chaotic as appts were made and my phone was binging and zinging and singing as duplicates of calls and texts were being exchanged. Debbie said she understood. She would have the Occupational Therapist and the RN contact me to schedule. At least that went smoothly. But OT was once a week. She'll be back next week. ... Hope her assessment was good - but I still cringed. Home Health Care was selected because 76 year old dad was in a hospital bed for 2 weeks. But the same ones don't stay committed to the care. PT contacted Sis Because bing-zing-eek! until I was added to the mix. It's a good thing this isn't a TRUE HIPAA violation, right? Glad it's family and not ex wives or girlfriends, since information isn't updated in the SAME COMPANY. Oh. So an RN is coming Friday. I explain dad's INR is low and we really need to make sure we check it. I also explained some medicine changes and his PCP's concern to monitor his vitals as we endure his safety. RN calls AFTER she left with Dad's INR. Which was far from therapeutic, as ANY RN would know. They tend to want to schedule the day before. I don't understand, since it's preapproved by Doctor orders. Nothing has been consistent. No RN visit the following week. Actually, only one person came all week and PT was supposed to be three times .... no one even called this week. Whether it's your loved one or someone you know, don't use this service. It's my first personal experience with home health care but they truly suck. Their scores were high on the documents provided. I'm definitely getting in touch with medicare. I don't know what an Aiden score is, but I'll reach out to them. From what I hear, their coordinator had helped the company immensely, then left. I think he was the driving force because it's a putter now.

First of all these caregivers were so caring and concerned about who they connect you with what kind of experience they're going to provide you and just everything from the type of service to the budget to everything so that was really reassuring for me. Then I updated my information with them and they provided me. Someone called Lillie who was absolutely phenomenal. She not only showed up a little bit early because I was nervous and she kind of anticipated everything for me, but she drove me to the place in a very clean car . She was very personable. She knew exactly what she was doing. Not once did I have to say hey hold this for me pick this for me help me with this she was spot on ahead of the game and just so sweet we connected right away bless her heart. She is just such a professional and personable human being , she also was not the type of person who had to leave on time the situation extended much longer and she waited for me for that extra time which was so appreciative because I would've had to stay overnight. If I didn't have someone to help me, you know check out because you can't just Uber yourself out of a hospital so that was really very very appreciative and I felt very blessed to have someone like that. I can't tell you that encore is the best. It was the best for me and it was far above my expectations. The people the professionals they care they were just so engaging they were very Kind in their you know discussions with me they didn't talk to me like I was you know just a piece of meat or an object which was nice and I'm so lucky that everything went even better than well, so I just wanted the world to know that you can trust yourself in the hands of encore and the professionals. They really know what they're doing. They really care about their clients and patients And the staff is just extremely knowledgeable and so they're not going to do anything that is gonna you know raise eyebrows or even you know cause harm they're gonna prepare for it all and you can count your blessings on that, so I hopefully will show my appreciation through this review on how much this meant to me because having a procedure on your own by yourself is frightening enough, but knowing that someone is there with you that isn't just there because you're paying them. They really care is just even more than you can ask for , thank you encore and Lillie
