Awful place to work. The supervisors have favorites, are rude, unappreciative and dishonest, and just about every shift is understaffed!

It is the heart of the people working there that make or break them. My husband has been here at Friendship Haven for about 4 months now. I won't lie I have had some issues but I will say that we seem to be working them out by discussing the issues and I do appreciate their willingness to work with us to make my husbands stay better. I truly appreciate the special members of the staff that seem to always be helpful like nurses Lori, Carrie and Lois as well as aides Cher, Justin and Mike. If all nursing home employees were like these people our elderly would be so much happier. And we can't lay all blame on the home for issues. We as family members need to stay involved and be our loved one's advocates. I think if we continue to work together I can see me adding stars in the not so far future.

Words can't even describe how horrible this place is. If you truly care about your loved one, do…read morenot bring them here. The towels, sheets, and other linens are not cleaned properly. I've seen what appeared to be blood stains, feces stains, and urine stains on items that were supposed to be clean. The food is terrible and looks like residents are being fed the bare minimum. The facility is severely understaffed. There is no reason a resident should have to wait 30 minutes to an hour after pressing the call button just to get help. The reports of residents being left sitting in feces and urine matched what I observed. The building is extremely dirty, and there are roaches throughout the facility. You can also look at other reviews online, including Yelp, and you'll see similar concerns. My family member also has chronic pain and is under the care of her own pain management specialist, who prescribed her medication for a reason. It was extremely concerning that her pain medication appeared to be reduced despite her established treatment plan. Why is a facility pharmacist trying to override or second-guess the treatment plan created by her pain management doctor? Decisions about long-term pain management should be made by the treating physician in consultation with the patient, not by someone unilaterally changing a regimen. There are also ongoing concerns about theft. I've heard allegations that some staff members steal from residents, and there are serious concerns that medications have been documented as administered when residents allegedly did not receive them. If these conditions are accurate, they should be reported to the appropriate state regulatory agency for investigation. No one deserves to live in conditions like this. Our loved ones deserve clean living conditions, timely care, proper pain management, and to be treated with dignity and respect.
