You place the order at the counter, and you can eat in the small dining room in the adjacent room, or a few tables outside. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, a panini sandwich and a Caprese salad. They were both excellent. The balsamic vinegar was delicious. There are many gourmet products that can be purchased. The wine was delicious. They serve gelato too. Glad we found this small spot.

The mint green tables outside and the bright red flowers, umbrella, and storefront created a perfect, aesthetically pleasing contrast. The best part about this cafe was the food! I was really satisfied with their panini consisting of ham and mozzarella pressed onto ciabatta bread. A combination of melted cheese, smooth and buttery, with the crunch of the ciabatta made for a delicious meal! Even though the panini sandwich was a bit pricey and took a bit long to make, I would have forgiven these points unless it wasn't for the slightly poor service and the low morale. Even though my boyfriend ordered for both of us and was ready to pay, with me present, the staff member thought our order was one I had made on my own as a completely separate customer. We ended up waiting more time than he had to because of this mistake. It's not a huge deal, but this interaction makes me wary of coming back as I would prefer a smoother customer service experience.

Both were excellent. I'm glad my cousin doesn't have my appetite because I sure finished more than my portion of that creamed spinach. It may have been the best I ever had. The only negative for me was the bread served at the table was mediocre - but the olive oil dipping sauce was excellent as well.

What a bummer !!!…read more Before writing this review, I made sure to come back several times, on Friday nights, to see if my experience was just a one-off. Unfortunately, things have definitely changed. The vibe that once made this place special just isn't there anymore. On a Friday night, the atmosphere feels flat, and even the lighting could use some work (Too Bright) it would benefit from being dimmed to create a more inviting and energetic setting. The staff doesn't seem as engaged as they once were, and sadly, the food isn't hitting the same either. The biggest disappointment, however, has been the music. The DJs don't seem to know how to read the crowd. When most of the room is sitting down and barely even bobbing their heads, it's probably time to switch things up and get some energy flowing. The one bright spot is Mike behind the bar. He's still on point, keeps the drinks coming, and provides the level of service that keeps customers happy. I truly enjoyed this place in the past, which makes it even more disappointing to see it heading in this direction. I'm hoping management takes notice and brings back the atmosphere that made people want to keep coming back.

This will be my fourth return to Sonny's, and I will speak with the owner because it is obvious that the new owners are more interested in saving and in making more money by offering sub par fruits and vegetables. The Asian shopkeepers you got to know. And, you knew you were getting a wonderful product and that you did not mind spending the extra well spent money! I guess it is just a sign of the times -- make more and give less! The quality of the foods and veggies and so on has to be examined by the owners because it's so so obvious that corners were cut in order to it save some money. he's has a new vendor who subpar. Most of us in commack did not blink an eye when we purchased this wonderful wonderful fruit from the original sunny forms. As he played classical soothing music we looked at the produce and the variety and money became inconsequential. It is not too late please go back to the vendors that you once had. The shift is hurting your business thank you
