Every store has a vast selection that seems to be geared towards the area population. Recently I was on the hunt for 2 specific bottles, Old Fitzgerald 7 year BIB and Ben Holiday BIB. Since I was going to ShopRite for some fill in shopping I decided to stop in. To my surprise they had both. The store is well laid out great lighting and a staff ready to help. As for pricing, they are very competitive. While there I noticed the selection of rare and or hard to find bottles and they were not kept under lock and key also priced competitively. Bottom line, yeah I'll be back!

I don't have a problem with the staff per se...but rather the young woman with the glasses behind the counter. I had purchased an assortment of bottled wines and brandies and they were not boxed. So...I asked the young lady to please wrap them in silver paper and tie them with green or red ribbon for the holidays...as they were to be given to various people as gifts. She rang up my purchase, I paid her and she slapped down the wrapping bags and ribbon on the counter. She stated that she doesn't or wouldn't be able to wrap my bottles. Now I looked behind me and there were no other people on line...so I did not understand the problem or why she wouldn't do this for me. Most if not ALL liquor stores wrap your bottles for the Holidays. I told her I'm not sure how to do this very well and that I don't have a scissors on me and that I needed to make various stops when I leave here. She told me she doesn't wrap and that was that. So rather than fight and make a scene in the store...I put my bottles in a box because they don't give bags with your purchase, I told her she was very rude and left the store. Never to go back again. That's NO WAY to treat any customer anytime! There are too many other liquor stores a person can go to. Won't be going back there. Sorry.....

While Bottle Grove isn't the largest wine store, it certainly has a great variety of wines and spirits. I prefer being in a smaller store where I can feel that I'm truly valued as a potential customer and today, while wandering through and checking out the shelves of wines, I felt that the owner was interested in finding out more about my tastes to better help serve my needs in the future.
