Cue Club is quite the throwback. A dark (though not dingy!) sports bar that serves shots and mixed drinks, as well as a large list of seasonal and craft beers. I've had the Korean bulgogi sandwich and it was quite good (although I'd certainly recommend other area Korean restaurants for a full dinner, this is delicious if you're just pairing it with some drinks!). But what makes this place standout are the bartenders. They have always been great to talk to, and they handle large crowds with aplomb! Go and say hi, grab a game of pool (it is after all the cue club - they have a lot of tables), and enjoy a good drink. read more

I'll echo most people's comments and say that my bartender was awesome. It's a great place to go and hang out....either at the bar or playing some pool. Food, eh, it's okay. Admittedly, I planned to have an app and then some dinner.....ordered the wings and ended up skipping dinner. The wings weren't bad, nor great. I'm somewhere in the 3+, but not quite 4-star range. By no means am I bashing the place. If you're like me, you probably need to read deeper into the reviews. Hang out, play pool, get some drinks....5 stars. I came here with a friend to play darts. While I didn't get food I did come here to grab a drink and check out the area... The Cue Club is a sports bar and pool hall if you enjoy going with a group of friends for a night out. I think it has the essentials of a good sports bar. Draft beer, good food ( I haven't tried it but the bulgogi sub looks good ), and pool, darts, and foosball for people to play. Service wise it took a minute for me to flag someone down to order some beer but beers did come out quick once I did confirm my order in. I don't know if the cocktails are good but we'll have to try again another time. For what I came here for, darts are in a separate room like the pool tables, and it's very spacious. The darts were available if you chip in 5 dollars, play all you want really. I honestly had fun learning how to play cricket but it is a long game. Although I didn't win against my friend this is enticing enough for me to play more when my friends are available. It's also across the street from O'MyChic so familiar territory for me. read more

It's been a little while but I'm back at Cue club. The nicest and friendliest bar tenders and owner of any place I've ever been. They made me a John Daly with fresh tea and fresh lemonade. I've never had that at any bar before. Hubby enjoyed the seasonal IPA's on tap and the bulgogi with tots. read more

I've always loved the cue club. You get great bar food, excellent service, and access to a wide variety of games. However, I did have a scary experience once where a very attractive girl was insistent I go with her "to party." I avoided her and was able to keep my kidneys but it was a super isolated incident and never happened again on my return trips here. Either way, I love it here and the food is amazing. Like pizza dumplings bulgolgi fries. Big screen tvs too for the sports fans. read more

What a neat neighborhood gem that proves solid time and time again. Below are the steps to success @ TCC. 1. When you enter, sit by the bar that faces the pool tables. It gives you a great spectator's view of the ongoing matches (quite skilled players too). Sometimes you can catch the owner playing as well! 2. Check out their drink specials. Great place for dates or to chill with a couple of friends to drink and play some pool or darts. Came here on a date and was able to get a table pretty easily. The tables are decent. The felt isn't world class, but it's decent (not like the tables you might see in hotels or cruise ships that are often running on bad felt). The bar has a good selection of beers that you can try out and some other drinks. The price is ok, and obviously could always be lower. However, if you want something different and want to take a date to play pool for a couple of hours, this is one of the better pool halls in the area that is also reasonably in a safe part of Annandale. read more

One of the longest standing neighborhood bar. Ive been coming here for over 10 years. Thank goodness because there's no better place to hang out than here! I can't believe I haven't reviewed this bar yet. The food is amazing! My favorite are the wings, nachos and yes, the crispy fries. Of course there are other options that are delicious including some Korean style dishes (have you met John? Supa dupa cool). Let's not forget the drinks people. They added a lot of fam members over time and these bartenders are very well-rounded. Bartenders that know their shizzle for sizzle! Shout out to Gino the OG! Don't be shy to ask that one drink you drink you may think no one can make. Never know, this fam may make that request happen! Now, Cue is just not a bar. It's also a pool hall. It's a popular one too. The cost is reasonable and there's been some upgrade because competition are also held here. During weekends, there is sometimes a deejay and karaoke. In the back bar on your right there is a dart area. The new upgraded extension gives a whimsical invitation to all especially to those who wants Instagram worthy pictures. Friendly bartenders, great beer selection and dart boards galore. What more could you ask for? Yes, this place also has many pool tables (hence the name) but they cater to dart players as well. If you just want to sit down and grab some food without playing games, it's also perfect for that. Every place has its ups and downs but I'm all about how people are treated, and John sets a friendly tone from the top. It's a rarity when someone will ask if you want a beer sample before you buy a pint. I hope this place stays open a long time! read more

Second time here and I've had a blast both times! Unfortunately I never got to play pool with my friends because unless you're friends with those already playing they will notttt be moving until they are ready to go home, was a bit upsetting. dartboards do move in a well enough place to be able to join at one point. Bartenders are always great have in mind they are dealing with multipleeeeeee people at the same time so they might not get to you as soon as you approach the bar, but the fast pace for making your drinks make it worth it ! read more

Came here with my wife randomly after a rollercoaster of a week. I am SO HAPPY we did! We sat at the bar ordered a couple whiskey sours and a some beers. Sours were delicious and beer selection was on point. The bartenders were very attentive, personable, and overall good peoples. Bulgogi fries and bulgogi reuben were amazing! Introduction: This review continues with my 100 reviews or less policy, but is also dedicated to National Suicide Prevention, which happened last week. I'll explain more when I get there. Experience at Cue Club: I've been to Cue Club a couple of times including for a Meetup event in April 2016. The drinks and food are reasonably priced. For food I got the '*Popular* The Cue's Famous Bul-Go-Gi Sub', which was amazing. The service was just so-so. We had to wait a little while for drinks & food. The pool tables are plentiful here, and I definitely enjoyed playing pool that night. I had a good conversation with the organizer of the Meetup, Matt. He hosted a few Meetups at his house, but I didn't talk to him that much until that night. He was very nice. We talked about his job as a tennis instructor and other things. Bad News: In November 2017, I was behind on checking my emails. I read an email from 9/27/17, which was from one of the organizers of the Meetup group, which said that Matt passed away and that he was having a celebration of life service on 10/5, which I could've made if I had read the email in time. I emailed that organizer, and he said that Matt took his own life on Thursday, 9/21/17 (coincidentally, that was exactly a year ago). I was already sad that he had died, but the fact that it took his own life was even more sad. It's really sad that so many people take their own lives. On a positive note, I will cherish the memories I had with him at Cue Club & his house. I would return to Cue Club to get another Bul-Go-Gi Sub if I'm ever in the neighborhood. read more

We had so much fun at the Cue Club! Even on a Saturday night we didn't have to wait long for a table. Everyone there was really respectful in of time on the tables. We had the deep friend pizza bites and the chilli cheese fries and they were amazing! They also know how to make a good Old Fashioned. I'm still getting used to how expensive pool is here in general. I'm used to putting a couple bucks in and getting to play. $20 an hour to play pool. There is also an $8 minimum of drinks or food purchase. Darts, however are free and there is also karaoke. The owner was around and is super nice, checking on everyone! Best part of the night was when someone put some ridiculous song on the Juke box and he was like "uh no, not listening to this!" I applauded him! It was great! We will go here again despite the cost of the tables. They take excellent care of their tables. All the balls and cue sticks were great. The chalk was in great shape and not all messed up. There was plenty of seating in the pool area and good music that was at a good volume. Definitely recommend. Also tons of parking! read more

This review is on the pool tables! Over my 35 years of playing pool I've been to countless pool halls. This pool hall did not disappoint. They have 6 - 9 foot tables and they are all in great condition. I played on two of them and both were level and well maintained. The balls were very clean and shiny, the chalk was not used and abused and the pockets of the tables were all in great shape. I ordered a salad and it was over the top big but fresh and crisp. The bar has lots of seating and there were several couples there enjoying the pool also. Service was professional and prompt. No complaints. This is a great find. Highly recommended! read more

I chose this place for a happy hour with some old military buddies (some I hadn't seen in over ten years). The prices were excellent for both the happy hour menu and even the regular menu. I don't drink, but my buddies liked the beer menu from your standard fare, drafts, and IPAs. The food was unexpectedly good. The customer service was EXCELLENT from the bartenders to the bus people. We got there early around 5:30 pm and the place was packed by 7 pm. John, the owner, works very hard and knows how to run the place. Such a fun place. Pool, karaoke, CSI Maimi, beer and nachos, and a good DJ. What more can you ask for? The bar has a bit of a "dive-bar" vibe, but in a great way. My friends and I went for the karaoke (which was extremely fun) but this place also has lots of pool tables and some people were just hanging out listening to the DJ (and possibly watching CSI Miami on the big screens). I got the nachos. The serving was HUGE and the price was right, only $9. I also got the Gose Colada (a beer not a beer cocktail as I initially thought) which was extremely good. If you've never had a Gose style beer I recommend trying this one. I only ordered one drink and the bartender remembered my name when I went to close out my tab which was super nice! Overall, this is a funky fun place and I would definitely go back for a laid-back, fun night out. read more

We went here on a sunday afternoon and the bar is full of regulars. They seem to really know the owner well who's also the one personally greeting and serving all the customers. It's my first time to go there with my hubby. My hubby told me that this is is his fave chill hangout drinking place with good food and good company. It does not disappoint. One thing i really appreciate is that the owner is so hands on to the customer and is so familiar with the regulars that he knows how to serve them well. My hubby told me that they have special discounted offers on meals everyday. We ordered the bulgogi sandwich and buffalo wings. The sandwich with fries is divine! The flavor of the meat together with onions and coleslaw lettuce is like a dancing queen in your mouth. and those real potato crunchy fries is perfectly cooked put it in all together in your mouth with the sandwich makes the world go crazy!
