Arrived at the Heathrow airport from Belfast around 8:00am and I was hungry. I stumbled across The Curator and I am glad I did. I was able to order an omelette and orange juice. I seated within 5 minutes and my order was taken shortly after that. My server was welcoming and friendly. My food was delivered shortly after that. It was hot and fresh and of course very good. Now as far as the ambiance, this is a very crowded restaurant. However, it doesn't feel that way. People are constantly eating and leaving. I was so happy I was not rushed out. I have to say that the vegan breakfast I had was fairly good and probably the best airport food I've had! The vegan bacon tasted good, along with the mushrooms, and beans. The place is nice and not over done with any decor. It also was clean and with the amount of people dining not too loud. The hostess was nice and got me seated quickly even though they were pretty busy. My server was just a little polite to say and seemed more of an all business type with no small talk. She was quick to take my order and then I really didn't see her again. After my meal was finished I had another server asked to clear my plate and I said yes thank you, and she took my plate and was gone before she could hear the next part of my sentence "could I have the check please". I then waited for a bit trying to catch the attention of some to cash me out but my subtlety went unnoticed so a had to flag a server down. I truly respect that the servers were working so hard, but it seemed to be at the cost of a more pleasant customer experience. I do think that this probably affects the rating of the place because honestly my rating would have been less if I was an impatient person. Overall it is a very viable option in Heathrow to eat. read more

A very good option at the airport for something quick but still a sit-down option. It's roughly $30 per person and meal portion sizes are large. I ordered the pomegranate lemonade (highly recommend) and essentially a chicken sandwich with fries. My boyfriend ordered a tower burger with fries. Service is great, they're extremely quick. Food truly does come out in about 8 minutes on average after ordering. Their downfall is that some of the seating is very tight or it's just not as spacious as other restaurants. Wow what an amazing meal at an airport. We ordered the steak sandwich and shared it. Normally my wife will not eat her half but this time she finished before I did. The service was very good and while there was a short 10 minute wait to sit down, once in they took our order and food was our pretty quickly. The quality of the steak and the sandwich was so good. The food here was surprisingly delicious. The down side is the service was extremely slow. I over the hosts say, there is a wait because by the customer are stay longer then expected. (A beautiful guy with long blonde hair) That wasn't the case with us. We waited a while for a server. Then we got our food. We were done for a while but we needed to hunt down our waiter. I feel as though someone forgot our order. When everyone else who arrived after us was being served their meals, we were just kept to wait for over an hour. We had to flag someone down to follow up and eventually got our food. When my wife asked why it took so long she was just told that "there are many for orders". For an airport venue it was very aesthetically pleasing. Good decor. Comfortable seating. There was a long queue to get in but moved fast. From the outside it looked like it had a chilled atmosphere, which is why I chose to have breakfast there, but once I was seated it was very loud. The music was too loud and there was constant clattering of dishes. The prices for the main dishes are not terrible taking into consideration you are at the airport, but the truly expensive items are the extra sides. If you stick with the dish as it comes, without adding extras, you will enjoy a nice meal for a reasonable airport price. I had the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon with an extra side dish of scrambled eggs. Loved the pancakes and bacon, but the eggs Where unsatisfactory. Upon reflection I wish I hadn't ordered them, the main dish would had been enough. The service was friendly enough. Waitress seemed intuitive to customers need, ( i.e. when to come over, when not too interrupt, etc). We had excellent service but the food was average. I asked for medium rare I got almost well done but it is expected the steak was very thin. The fish and chips was good but the fish is on the thinner side. Depending how you like it. The nachos look better than they taste to me. Prior to catching my flight home, I decided to look for a place that served a full English breakfast. That led me here. The place looked pretty packed, but they were able to seat me right away. After looking over the menu, I ordered coffee and The Full Monty Brunch. I'm not sure if things are different in the UK, but almost everywhere I go, the waitstaff would always refill my coffee to the point where I have to refuse more coffee. The English certainly know their fish and chips, and their beer. The Curator Bar has a special brew by Greene King, a whispery light ale that barely has a hint of hops. I happen to like a bite of hops in a beer, but this is still a tasty brew. The fish and chips arrived maybe 5 minutes after ordering. They know that you have a flight to catch, and they won't keep you waiting. This wouldn't be such a treat if the fish weren't good...but it is. The fish is light and flavorful, and I love the batter on a properly made English style fried fish, and this has that. They must have a series of premade fish fillets for this purpose, because they can't possibly make them this quickly otherwise. But, it didn't taste old or stay on anyway. Very very nice. Les nice with a plate of nachos that my wife's mom ordered. The chips were excellent, but all the cheese was glued together at one corner, guacamole was just big chunks of avocado with little seasoning, and there was only a dusting of pico de gallo. This is what you get for ordering Mexican dish in an English pub. The grilled chicken sandwich, though, was terrific. Definitely worth a quick stop on your way to the gate. read more

This restaurant is inside Terminal 3 of London Heathrow Airport. This restaurant/bar seemed better than others in the terminal. So, I went in. I ordered the house burger. The patty was one of the driest I have ever had in my life (clear 1 star). The price at first seemed reasonable, but I don't think it is any more given the quality of the food. Since the service was fast, I give two stars rather than one. I would not come back here, nor do I recommend this bar/restaurant to anyone. There's a space to charge!!! As long as you have the proper adapter for the UK. I don't recall my waitress saying her name but the place seems pretty busy so I didn't really mind. They have the option for getting your food quickly if you don't have time but I had time. I waited 5 minutes before I had my food in front of me. I don't suspect any of it to be premade it all looked & tasted fresh. I ordered the pancakes with Apple compote & cinnamon because I like all 3 & why not put them together. The pancakes were fluffy & cut easily with just the fork. It had some weird cream on it, I could have done without but still pretty well. Also note they don't seem to give syrup unless asked because I watched two other people request it after they ordered pancakes & I assume that's standard but hey what do I know. The scrambled eggs tasted very good, they weren't runny or over cooked. For my drink choices I decided to go with their homemade drinks. Got to Heathrow early and after hitting the Duty Free shopping in Terminal 3, we needed a quick bite. The Curator was bustling, but we got a table with ease and were serviced immediately. Considering the servers know they will never see you again, our server was polite, helpful, and quick. We ordered the Fish and Chips. The quality and quantity was perfect. Added a beer to that and it was a great way for us to end our trip to London. You never expect airport food to be the greatest but, this was a good meal, priced well and a good place to hang for a little bit. It is set up Pub style with an array of comfort food, a limited selection of ales, ciders, and lagers but also, vegetarian choices. I would definitely go there again and would recommend it for a way to kill some time and end your vacation. read more
