The ladies were very helpful and friendly! They walk you through the steps and process to create the look at home! And, they'll go over what to do and not to do. It is truly a learning session. I also enjoyed the one-on-one experience. They do sell the products they use and will show you what they used. I added the the detox once talking with Ashley. Never thought I'd leave a review like this, usually I'm all for everything but wow. Few background details, I'm mixed with curly espresso colored hair. I'm here on military duty so I don't know anyone and I haven't gotten my hair done in 3 years but I'm almost 28 and I'm ready. Okay so, got a little turned around even finding the place - it's a house in a not so great part of town. Not a big deal, went in, greeted by a different stylist who said Ashley would be with me soon. I was early, she was with another client, normal normal no worries. My appointment was at 1130 - my stylist, Ashley, did not come in until 1210, 40 minutes later - still no worries I'm excited, it's almost my 28th birthday and I'm ready to highlight and trust her with my curls. I ask does she have experience with mixed hair and if she thinks she can work with mine. Maybe that's where it went wrong, idk but I've had some damaging experiences in the past and I've gone all natural since 2016 after my big chop. Little nervous. I'm trying to explain to Ashley I'd eventually want to be lighter but let's just test the waters today and she's just in a rush telling me I've got to get in foil and do all these things. Now I'm feeling anxious and rushed and idk why because I've got all day. I tell her she doesn't have to rush but yet... She gives me this quick 2 minute wash under cold water and I'm asking questions about how to go about these pintura highlights and she starts talking about breaking bonds how Pintura is just a name and I need to do this lightener and lift and things so I tell her you're kinda speaking another language and she goes we will talk about it later. Gets me out of the chair and says let me go make your lightener. Meanwhile, I'm still thinking we have things to talk about... Honestly, I should've done my own homework but after reading the reviews here and other places I thought oh this is someone who can take the time to explain and I can trust to not damage my hair and still get where I'd like to be. She comes back and is bustling around hasn't said a thing so I'm asking questions again and leaning towards not wanting foil. She's all for the foil! My hairs too dark and this and that so I explain that I got my big chop in Dallas with highlights with no foil and go to show her pictures... y'all... I guess that wasn't the right thing to do. She's already cranky and whips out this hair thing and goes this is your hair color (jet black which it really isn't) you can only get this much lighter without foil so I say okay that's fine with me and idk what it was but the aura and bad vibes, just got more tense. I ask what she think it might look like and what she thought at one point and she literally just didn't respond. Straight up ignored me and then after while hit me with the, "look, you're gonna break bonds anyway..." Like she was annoyed with my questions. I get it, I do but as a new client and a little weary about hair change man I just needed a little more reassurance. I literally just kept thinking she's gonna ruin my hair. I had to leave. So there I was, doing the wet dog walk of shame out of the salon. I told her she could keep the deposit ($85) but driving away I thought here I am 2 days before my birthday looking like a wet poodle after spending less than 10 minutes with this cranky woman after waiting for 40 and driving an hour just to get there. So I call back, I'm polite and calm as I have been the whole time and ask for some sort of a refund. Surely that wasn't $85 dollars worth and the other stylist answers (both named Ashley) and says well all salons are late plus you were here 15 minutes early so it was your fault you waited 40 minutes. I say well I wasn't counting me being early but if we do that's almost an hour.. anyway, no refund at all. I'm feeling quite stupid for wasting my money, guess technically it's my fault for leaving but y'all there's no way I was gonna sit through that. Brazilian waxes can be intimidating, but Rose made me feel comfortable & I couldn't have been happier with my service! If you're ever asked if you want to do a gel mask after the wax, trust me, you do! Rose's technique along with the mask (I feel) helps prevent ingrown hairs. Also, I feel very pampered. She did a great job cutting my daughters curly hair. However I was annoyed that she didn't give me the run down on how this worked. I'm sure you are thinking "it's a hair cut, what did you need to know that isn't common sense?". Well I have pin straight hair and have always had to go into a salon with freshly washed and still wet hair (I don't get color or anything like that, just cuts). She didn't tell me that I needed to bring her in with dry hair so we had to hang out at the salon a little longer to make sure it looked good when it was dry. I was also not happy that she had my 5 year old standing for the entire cut. Anyone with a 5 year old knows that standing still for 15 minutes is just not a thing and my daughter was very frustrated and didn't want to go back because she didn't like that she had to stand. The cut turned out great, so I still give 4 stars. read more

Not only do they stand out with their beautiful style of how the salon is laid out, but the consistency of their customer service is something you can always count on. So I waited a bit to write this because I didn't want to write something hastily and when I'm in an angered state but as time goes on I get more and more upset with my cut so bear with me in this long post. I didn't feel rushed at all with my appointment but Ashley definitely didn't take the time to look at my goal picture. She literally looked at it for a few seconds. I told her I chose her for a rezocut that she is certified in. I didn't want a devacut because I like my layers to be even hence a rezocut. She went way shorter than discussed but I wasn't too upset and overall when I left I was happy because she did cut out all the damage and my hair felt healty again. I liked that even though it was way short. Mind you, I came in with mid back length hair and was definitely not looking to make the "big chop" but that's what I got. The cut I wanted was curly bangs with face framing layers. I got a mullet with uneven layers! No face framing layers just layers in the back and blunt bangs cut from hairline to hairline on each side of my head. I'm so upset! I have to put so much product to try to manipulate it into a style that hides the mullet but by the end of the day the mullet is in full force so it's up in a ponytail all the time with a ton of bobby pins to keep it up in the back because it's not long enough. I can't even get it cut more to fix it because the bangs and top are so heavy and short that I just have to wait for it to grow out. And, she lied to me about her haircare products! I asked if they are vegan and cruelty free which she replied they are so I bought almost the whole line of products only to find out it's cruelty free but not vegan! Which, in my opinion, if it's not vegan it's not really cruelty free either! The products use honey and beeswax which maybe some people don't consider bee byproduct to be animal product but it is. Only our whole existence relies on the existence of bee's. I don't really leave reviews especially bad ones because I feel like people have off days which maybe this was one of them but this really isn't something that can be remedied satisfactorily and I spent ALOT of money that day. I was absolutely willing to pay the high price but that made me have high expectations as well. It's going to take me at least the better part of a year to grow this out. read more
