Instead, it appears as though very little effort was made to achieve the look we discussed. Rather than a groom that followed the shape and length we asked for, it looks like our dog was simply shaved down with a razor. Obviously no groom will be an exact copy of a photo, but we expected something reasonably close to what we requested. The outcome was so different from our instructions that it felt as though our preferences were ignored entirely. We entrusted them with our dog and are VERY disappointed with the lack of attention. He left with hematomas on his ears and shaking his head. I have had these breed for decades and have worked with many groomers. I have never had this negative experience with another groomer. My dog is still terrified when we walk by this groomer's door. Now we have a groomer who my dog is excited to see and absolutely no issues with his ears or otherwise. I even double-checked beforehand to confirm the cost, and everything was set and scheduled. The night before the appointment, we followed their instructions and adjusted our cat's feeding schedule. We also gave her Trazodone to help ensure she would be calm and relaxed for the grooming. I took time off from work to be home for the appointment, only to receive an email about 30 minutes beforehand stating there would be an additional $100 "handling fee." I never saw the email in time, and no one called or texted to discuss it. Instead, no one showed up for the appointment. The complete lack of communication, professionalism, and consideration for my time was extremely disappointing. After confirming the price, preparing our pet, and taking time off from work, I expected much better customer service.
