The barber i was given was Martin he is very experienced and did an excellent job with my hair cut knowing I had my interview the next day. He was also very kind and put the customer first at every possible opportunity. Atmosphere was also on par with a fine gentleman's establishment the way a barbershop should. There was a line but Johnny, who I believe is the owner was quick and friendly to his other patrons. I have a cranky 2 year old and a rambunctious 5 year old but he was able to give them quick, effective short cuts. Without even going into detail, he just asked them if I wanted it short and he went straight to work. $25/each for a kids cut for less than 30 minutes is not bad. Previous barbers are afraid to go very short which makes me need to go in every 2 weeks. He went exactly the amount I was looking for and we won't be back for another 3 weeks. FYI you don't come here for the ambiance. You come for a straight shooter, great service and skills. The price is not bad either. I'll be coming back with my boys.

The owner, Mike, who works at the first chair, is a charming and friendly man who greets everyone who enters. He may not remember everyone's name but he certainly remembers a face. He used to work out of his shop in Manhattan but now he's out on Long Island expanding his business. I've gotten cuts from Mike and Joe (2nd chair), and both are very gentle and would never rush a cut. Never once have I left unsatisfied with my cut so that's why I only go here. They can get pretty busy on the weekends so if don't want to wait 10-15 minutes, come on the weekday. No appointment necessary. Regular men's cuts are $12 and worth every penny.
