Really cool place, looks like a former gas station, now restaurant. My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday morning after looking around north shore for something different, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately like every breakfast place on Sunday morning, they have had a wait but the hostess said they was only a 20 minute wait and we could order coffee while we wait, which we enjoyed because they make a great latte. Looks small from the outside but they have outdoor seating and seating in the back as well. Their breakfast menu is great as it offers the normal breakfast dishes as well as some enticing different, like the Asian breakfast bowl, which was my husband's favorite. Since I'm not a huge breakfast person, I had the Veggie Hash, which was awesome! Food portion was very good and the food is perfectly seasoned. For such a busy time, our server was great and overall the staff was very friendly. Really liked this place and will probably return for more coffee and maybe try lunch one day. read more

Oh yes this was really good. Great drinks from the bar, really good coffee and breakfast was so yummy. They have a creative spin on making classic dishes like Southern Eggs Benedict. Check out the menu online. There is parking but you might have to park on the side street if it's packed. They also allow dogs for the outdoor area.....which is really nice. The staff was a lot of fun and really nice. We would definitely go back. read more

This place is pretty cool. It offers great outdoor seating, wonderful drinks, and great food. I ordered the DIY omelette and my partner had their blueberry flapjacks. The omelette was good, there again it's pretty hard to mess one up let alone make one that can make ones mouth water. The blueberry flapjacks though...WOW. They tasted like a donut that simply disintegrates in your mouth. I'm not a fan of pancakes, and I loved these! It's a little pricy, but worth the splurge. read more

I have been here twice and have gone during lunch time both times. The first time I ordered Avo Toast with an egg and it was very refreshing and light. I believe I also got a drip coffee and I thought it was bitter - so it wasn't really my taste. The second time I ordered The Breakfast Plate and I wasn't disappointed - the eggs had the perfect crunch on the outside rims and the potatoes were seasoned very well. Went here for my birthday. Arrived at 10:45. They gave our table to another party, so we weren't seated until 11:10. Ordered at 11:15. Did not receive food until 12:45. Eggs were cold. Biscuit was hard. Some of our party got food at 12:45. Others at 1. Service sucked. Manager never came over. Don't waste your time here unless your time isn't valuable. read more

The food came out in a reasonable amount of time (contrary to other Yelp reviews), but certainly not super speedy. The food was all terrific, but maybe better for adults without children. The food was amazing! First time going for brunch and its safe to say this will be a regular stop for us. I got the build your own omelette with chorizo,peppers, and havarti which was incredible. My boyfriend for their boring breakfast which had eggs, potatoes, and chose of meat and it was anything but boring. The entire staff was incredibly friendly. So, I remember when this place was an old gas station. I remember hearing how this great local, farm to table place was coming in to a much needed location. But I regret to say that I cannot keep trying to make this work after 5 visits. The level of inefficiency and the unnecessary, yet extraordinary, wait times for everything from being seated to getting your excellent but very simply prepared food has beaten me down. Even if half of the tables are empty it is not uncommon to wait 30 minutes. And 50 minute ticket times for eggs?? Come on! Everyone time I pass by I say to everyone standing outside," if you just knew your wait time you would go somewhere else"; and then I see inside and see ALL of those empty tables and it just boggles my mind. I only hope your success continues, and it will until a competitor moves close. read more

The Daily Ration was my first stop since moving to Chattanooga a week ago; it was a phenomenal choice. Great atmosphere, waitress and hostess were friendly and eager to serve me, and the food and beverage were excellent. I went with the sidecar which is an espresso and a 6oz drip coffee, a bit bitter but tasty, and then I went super basic with the classic breakfast plate, 2 eggs potatoes biscuit choice of meat and then I added side Cruze sausage gravy sooooo damn good. Their eggs Benedict was something I could've whipped up in under 10 min but it took far longer than that (actually 45 min after ordering), was a very small portion, and painfully plain (think thin slice of bread, smear of pimento, and weak/thin poached eggs). Interesting, unusual menu items! I had the Delhi Me In, a chickpea pancake with curry, sweet potato cubes, an egg and more, which I tried out of curiosity rather than thinking it sounded better than something traditional. It was DELICIOUS. I literally cleaned my plate, wiping the last bit of accompaniment up with the last bit of pancake. I'm usually a bacon egg and biscuit kind of person, but this was a fabulous alternative. I'm eager to go back and try more. Table service was an added bonus. read more

What a fun place! I was worried there would be a long wait on the weekend, but we only waited a few minutes before being seated. We ate on the patio for brunch, which is fenced in so it is dog and kid friendly. Service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. I appreciate that they serve Velo, a local roaster. Our favorite brunch spot! All of the ingredients are very fresh. We love the local atmosphere and huge outdoor seating area. I've always had great service, but the kitchen is VERY slow. First I must agree with Robby M. I had the Southern Benedict. The sourdough bread was nearly rock solid ... I'm talking stuff almost sliding off the other side of the plate as I tried to cut the first slice. It softened some as the vinaigrette dressing seeped down. Aside from the bread issue, I really enjoyed the dish. I felt it was a somewhat healthier alternative to the heavy sauce-laden traditional eggs benedict. The greens in top where a nice balance to the thick, sweet and yummy bacon underneath. Service was very good. Wait time was estimated to be 35 minutes when I put my name in the list, but in reality it was maybe 15 minutes. Parking is a challenge. I arrived at 10:20 on a Saturday. The lot was full. Street parking is available, but you might have to walk a little bit. read more
