I would love to continue learning here, however the prices are way higher than I was expecting them to be. I might pop in to some classes or an event sporadically. Unfortunately I can't justify spending almost $800 on dance lessons at the moment. :(

I thought our original Arthur Murray was expensive as after the initial new student specials, the prices were significantly more than other studios. Of course by then we were committed as my husband loved our instructor and the other students. Each studio has been progressively more expensive. This studio is 25% more than the base price we paid across the country (and no, rents aren't that different). The sale price here is significantly more than the sale prices there (to be fair, at least this studio does sales- our second one did not). The staff here is very talented (though they do have a few newer instructors that are definitely still learning). The students are nice as well though the overall vibe is less friendly/open than our first studio where it honestly felt like a family. Here, the shared bond is dance and you won't learn much about the staff beyond that. This isn't a bad thing, just different. Over all, if you choose ballroom dancing as a hobby, this is definitely one of the best places to do it. Just... know its going to be a very expensive hobby.

Not only has he improved his motor skills since he started weekly classes, he has learned so much sign language and has become very independent! We always get told that he seems advanced for his age and I think the little gym has played a huge role in that. I love our mommy & me classes because it gives us a chance to bond, meet other families, and learn along with our kids. The staff here is amazing as well. They're all so welcoming and you can tell they really love what they do and the kiddos.

They obviously don't understand that if a class is 3-5 year olds a FOUR year old child belongs in it. When it was further explained to them why my child could not be placed with older children the woman disregarded not only her actual age, but her special needs as well and stated that for insurance purposes it was better for them to put a smaller child with older children. So if your child requires even the slightest help or has any special needs I would go elsewhere. They obviously don't care.

I was slightly firmilar with pole fitness and thought it would be fun to try out. I called The Toy Box and the spoke with the owner. She invited me to the studio the following week to try out a class & ask all the questions I needed. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner who instructs all the classes. The other women in the class greeted me too, and they all were encouraging and welcoming. The prices for classes were affordable. I signed up for 4 classes a month (once a week). That was 2 years ago and I still look forward to going to my weekly class at the Toy Box. You can sign up for multiple classes a week. The studio does not have windows and is private. Students are on their own pole for the whole hour. Classes are limted to 7 students Due to small classes the instructor is able to provide one on one instruction. Classes focus on teaching the sport of pole dance with a focus on acrobatics on a verticle pole. Individual instruction is given based on a students level: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The instructor and other students are encouraging. The other women in the classes are fun supportive and at times silly. I had hardly no upper body strength and absolutely no formal dance or gynamstic ability when I walked into the studio my first day. The instructor started me with the basics, gave me tips on what I was doing in error and making moves more difficult for myself, and encouraged me. Through pole fitness I gained muscle tone, strenght, flexibility, confidence (it feels incredible when you are able to master a challenging move and do combos). I also gained friends and a sense of empowerment. The studio has offered special event workshops that are in addition to classes for students who are interested. These workshops are at the Toy Box and hosted by Pole Fitness Champions. The most recent being Veronica Solimano and Natasha Wang (have you youtubed these women, wow!). The classes here are great for anyone who wants to learn pole fitness, improve skills they may already have and be in a supportive fun enviornment.

Received one call and I called them back and left message. No return call, I sent them proof of only one call from them and they said I needed to cancel 72 hours before class and that they lost out on a seat when I didn't. Hard to do when the class started less than 15 hours after I signed up. I emailed them back it was a simple mistake and they refused to move my daughter to the May 14 start date and took my $99 deposit. I brought my oldest son to take a knowledge test and I also wanted to sign my youngest up for drivers ed classses. When we arrived we weren't greeted immediately with a smile nor a hello. Which seemed strange to me. We were told prior to arrive 30 minutes early to get signed onto the computer just in case we had problems signing on because the test starts exactly at 12. We were told to have our license Xpress log in and we did. She asked if we had that and I explained to her that we did but needed help making sure it was what she needed. We were told from Patsy the owner that she had no clue how to log on or what it looked like but to go onto the DOL website. We stepped aside and logged on and shortly after we approached the counter and Patsy the owner was in the middle of training. We stood there for a few minutes which felt like longer than a few minutes. The phone rang and Patsy the owner answered the call and put the call on hold. She then picked up the phone that she originally put on hold and assisted them first before assisting the customers at the counter. Once off the phone Patsy continued to train so I walked back over to the counter which was only a few steps away and told her we were able to log in and showed her. Patsy then said that she had no clue what or how it looks when logged in. I then explained to her that we had everything we needed to log in and get started. She finally allowed my son to go back and log in. A customer walked in to take the knowledge test and since I wasn't getting help from the owner I politely asked if it was possible if I could see how they were able to log on. The young man had no clue what the license express account was. The parent of the young man asked if she could explain what it was her son needed in order to take the test and Patsy the owner explained it in detail on what to do and also walked her through it on her phone. Once my son was finally able to login I left until he was done. I decided to not let this type of behavior slide and went back in to get Patsy information, and she didn't want to tell me her last name but shared with me that she was the owner. I was appalled to hear that she was the owner and didn't have any customer service experience. While there I was met with unhelpful responses which I should have left when I first noticed it. Patsy the owner seemed uninterested in resolving the issue and offered no clear explanation to why we were being treated unfairly. DISCRIMINATION IS REAL. I expected much better customer care and would hesitate to use this company again.
