I thought our original Arthur Murray was expensive as after the initial new student specials, the prices were significantly more than other studios. Of course by then we were committed as my husband loved our instructor and the other students. Each studio has been progressively more expensive. This studio is 25% more than the base price we paid across the country (and no, rents aren't that different). The sale price here is significantly more than the sale prices there (to be fair, at least this studio does sales- our second one did not). The staff here is very talented (though they do have a few newer instructors that are definitely still learning). The students are nice as well though the overall vibe is less friendly/open than our first studio where it honestly felt like a family. Here, the shared bond is dance and you won't learn much about the staff beyond that. This isn't a bad thing, just different. Over all, if you choose ballroom dancing as a hobby, this is definitely one of the best places to do it. Just... know its going to be a very expensive hobby.

The 'Absolute Beginners' class daytime scheduling options were most appealing (12 Noon on Saturdays or Sundays), as was the Groupon discount. Then to learn that Luis Perez is a master Tango instructor with an abundance of patience cinched the deal. My husband and I are retired. We needed something to engage our minds and move our feet. It's been very beneficial for us to venture outside of our comfort zone, commit to learning something new, and challenge our cognitive abilities. Our adult kids are looking forward to our 'recital.' This is, by far, the most rigid and…read moremilitant studio I've ever been to (and I've practiced all over for 20 years-I'm also an instructor). The instructor literally stood in front of the door and blocked me when I tried to fill up my water when he offered a break. Furthermore he lectured me on my "lack of preparation". To say his subsequent behavior was inappropriate was an absolute understatement. I'm appalled, to say the least. If I was the owner, I'd consider first my business practices-the studio is empty (why?) and I'd revisit the basics of the yogic practice. Yoga means "to yoke" to connect the mind/body/spirit and the purpose of an instructor is to act as a guide, not as a dictator. I would also advise that blocking a doorway or not allowing a student to leave the room is absolutely inappropriate and could be physically threatening to someone who might have a history of trauma. Furthermore, everyone practices in their own way. It's an individual practice, not a team sport. I'd be shocked if this establishment was still in business after a year or two. By contrast, the studio I attend regularly is packed, regardless of the time or day of the class. Hopefully, they'll take this feedback as an opportunity for growth.

Every workout pushes you beyond what you think you're capable of, and somehow you leave feeling stronger, more confident, and proud of yourself every single day. The energy in the room every morning is unmatched. People show up for themselves and for each other. In the two years I come to her classes I have gone through a transformation --weight loss, gained a whole new level of confidence, and overall fitness game. Hard? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. If you want real results, real accountability, and a community that will push you to become the best version of yourself, this is the place.

The space, itself, is calmiglng and welcoming. Kate was very welcoming herself, and has an amazing energy about her. The class was a mix of meditation and yoga. We started with yoga, with great focus in breathing techniques. The yoga nidra came after and can I say, it was, for myself, intense. I have never donenany type of meditating, and by the end of the session, I was silently crying. It helped release so much needed stress and anxiety that I have been holding onto. I recommend this studio and especially this class to anyone.

The studio is beautiful and has all of the equipment you need for a great workout! I've known Jules, the owner, for years now and she is a fabulous instructor. She knows a lot about anatomy and understands the body well so she can make suggestions for modifications to make any exercise easier or more difficult or to make it work for your injuries. I also had a chance to take a class with Vonda and she was fantastic. The front desk staff is also kind of friendly. They have cute merchandise and some drinks and accessories for sale in the lobby. If you're new to Pilates, Reformer Fit Club would be a great place to start. There's no snobbery or gatekeeping, they just want everyone to move their body and enjoy it. If I lived closer, I'd probably be here everyday.
