I had to reach out again, and this time I'm told both emails address are correct for customer service but do NOT WORK (it was the "server" four times). Not great business practice. Then it was looked into, I was placed on hold and immediately whole on hold, a tracking number was created and I was told "this shipped out today" which is a total lie due to my ability to see tracking, and that shipping label was created while on IG asking about my order. I told them to please cancel, that's super shady to do. They kept saying "it shipped, it shipped" checked for two days, tracking number was invalid, nothing ever left them to come to me total lies. Avoid this store and on 1 dancewear unless you like being swindled. Horrible customer service, non working customer service email addresses for both stores, create shipping labels upon asking for an update, and nothing ever shipped. DO NOT BUY ONLINE!!!!! TOTAL DRAMA AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! NEVER AGAIN.

And after 2 weeks of items being returned (delivered and received per usps tracking), still no refund. And just like the other reviews of horrible experiences, I called many times to get their "we will look into it and call you back" and never ever got a return call. I don't think this is a very honest business. How do you mistaken caramel tights for pink ones? And how do you double check the size and send completely different ones? Maybe they try to rid merchandise through their online customers since some may forget to return or find it a huge hassle.

The prices are very fair and they even had some shoes on clearance. Character shoes seemed to range from $40-$80. I received very friendly customer service and I was appreciative of the help and advice. One thing I really liked is that they did not try to rush me or force me to choose quickly. They also did not try to push me into buying the more expensive option. Instead, they offered to put shoes on hold for me so that I could think about it and come back if I needed to since I was in between two styles. Another thing I liked is that they had a wood floor inserted into the room with a ballet barre so that people can properly get the feel of a shoe on a dance floor. They also have a bathroom which is always nice. Overall, I highly recommend this dance store! It is so refreshing to find a good one with friendly employees, fair prices, and a wide selection.

An even mildly experienced dancer will be aghast at their lack of knowledge for pointe shoe fitting. I've even seen the staff breaking shoes during pointe shoe fittings and have tried on shoes that have obviously been pre-broken. WTH is going on here?!? Every time I forget how terrible this place is and need something, I walk out with regret and a newfound resolution to not return.

I can call in advance and have her put stuff aside so when I come in I can just pay quickly. She knows about the shoes the styles and how they fit. She is great at checking the shoes they try on. She remembers us and is always glad to see us again. She runs a musical theater company in the same space. She has a lot of things in stock so you can find things right away or see something that you forgot you needed. We always go in well in advance of performances to make sure that we have all of the needed gear and time to order if needed. She is also open until 7 during the week and on both days of the weekend which means I can find time to get there.

We normally purchase every year from Repertoire in Scarsdale. The taps were uncomfortable in the heel, but the salesman said we could double up on socks or use tape. On returning home, we compared to the previous year's taps, and found a huge difference in quality. The other taps were smooth and soft inside, wearable from the time of purchase. Even with the school discount, the difference in price was just a few dollars, so we returned to our old store, and they sold us some excellent comfy taps. ***On returning to Centre Stage the following week, they offered store credit. I understand this, if that's their policy. When the woman opened the box, she said "These have been used!" in a very nasty voice. She pointed to some small indentations in the hard leather bottom. The shoes were pristine white all over, including inside the indentations. I had to repeat several times that we only wore them in the shop once and never took them to dance class. She gave the the credit slip with the most angry look on her face. Did she really think we abused the shoes for a week, re-painted them white, and came back to get our $25? ***If the shoes had really been used, then they sold them to us used. I should have asked for a full refund. But outside of that, what kind of business sense is that, to be nasty to a member of a school dance group? For merchandise quality and attitude, this shop gets one star.
