My 4-year-old daughter came home telling me that Ms. Pam told her she is "dark brown." I find it completely inappropriate for a dance instructor--especially in a class for such young children--to point out differences in skin tone. My daughter was the only African American child in the class and had never even noticed the difference between herself and the other girls until it was unnecessarily highlighted by the instructor. What saddens me even more is that this is a Christian dance class. One would hope that such a setting would promote love, kindness, and sensitivity--not behavior that could make a young child feel singled out. I reached out to Ms. Pam personally to express my concerns, but unfortunately, she never responded. My husband and I ultimately decided to remove our daughter from the class. I hope this feedback encourages the studio to provide more training for their instructors on how to interact with children in a respectful and inclusive manner.

We started in August 2019 with my oldest, because my 2 year old wasn't quite 2 yet. I was really impressed how she is able to wrangle up quite a few tots with the help of the assistants with little to no crying. She is the owner teaching babies! That was also very impressive. My 2 year old joined halfway through the year and she was able to get her set up for a successful dance recital. I appreciate the hardwork and dedication. Even with Corona, we still had virtual classes and changing every single thing for the big showcase it still all came together. I'm just so proud and can't wait for next season and summer camps!

I stepped out onto the porch to take a call for a minute and during that time, a stranger led my daughter into the bathroom and went in with her. It was another mom that did this, and I was just so shocked and disturbed that the teacher would just release the kids into a room of strangers. I'd actually witnessed this happen before with a kid whose mom dropped her off and left shortly after, but didn't expect it to happen while I was there.

After doing lots of searching and looking online before the move I came across this studio I had reached out even before we moved to ask if it was to late to get my daughter in. I was ALWAYS responded to quickly by the office staff especially miss Angie! The first day we went in to try a class I instantly felt welcomed and like family already. This studio was a lot smaller than our previous one so I was a bit nervous at first but we felt an instant connection and looked no further. We love the values of this studio and how much they lean into faith in all they do. We had our first recital with them in June and enjoyed it, all the staff works really hard and I have found that the "smaller" studio to us made for a better home studio for us where people really get to know you and your child's name.
