I did the pleasure course and have learned a lot in several areas. The most revealing for me was the relationship blueprint. This is a teaching on how our relationships were built from out past growing up. I notice I had repetitive cycle of being afraid to truly be vulnerable in intimate relationships, that would then have me feeling a sense of depth missing but blaming the other person. I saw the blaming and also how my past relationships resembled Novella's aka Latin soap operas. The drama, the passion, the fights, the back and forth all of it was right there in my face. I just started laughing; I came to that conclusion very subtly so it was light. I also have done a lot of work in personal development and spirituality. I found that with that awareness I can now start fresh and create a relationship by design and not let my old blueprint repeat itself. I reconnected to myself being fun, loving, open, vulnerable, caring, passionate and creative in the design of my relationships moving forward to incorporate all of those. The meditation practice to bring presence, calm, connectedness to sensing my body was very helpful. It prepared me to be more relaxed and open for the next set of exercises. I also discovered how to give and receive touch that was pleasing, deeply felt energetically to both my partner and myself. Being comfortable to ask for what I wanted in a way that was well-received and approving communication of satisfaction. This was all done in a pairs and in a safe container help by the whole Team supporting the course. This was totally new (meaning safe and approving touch), because in my relationship blueprint I experienced numerous encounters of molestation by both men and women. There were many ah-ha moments that furthered my personal development. The last thing I want to comment on is the incredibly warm and lovely team supporting the course. These are people who have already done their courses and have deepened their relationships with themselves as well others out of being there. I felt like could ask anyone of them for support and would get clarity in whatever was coming up for me. This is also clear demonstration of the leadership. Alicia carried such a warm, loving energy towards everyone and for the work she does. Erwan's focuses, knowledge, masculine energy joined with Alicia feminine softness, keen listening, and nurturing nature creates a great balance throughout the course. For longest time, since I can remember, I had struggled with low self esteem and finding my sense of who I am as EGO-LESS self. A few weeks ago all my searching and questions had been answered when I decided to take the Pleasure Course. The course was all inclusive and all about YOU! It lasts 3 days each day for 8 hours of non-stop opening up and pinpointing and diving deep into emotions, childhood memories (or trauma) etc.. Throughout this time I found myself having break through after break through. I was able to make connections I never had access too and even started dating a girl who I met in the course. I went into the course unsure and came out a more confident me, ready to tackle the world and. The coaches Erwan and Alicia made me feel comfortable and were non-judgemental, made me as well as everyone else feel comfortable. The community is safe, loving and accepting of people from all walks of life supportive and enjoyable. The exercises were sensual, but not kinky! Many involved touching. Though they involved touching there was no pressure if you felt uncomfortable doing some of the exercises. Everyone was very light hearted. If you put on 1000% you'll get that out! I came in broken and left with life long skills and a new perception of not only life, people but most importantly MYSELF! [UPDATE] It's been 2 years since I left my first review, I've been attending weekly sessions faithfully and dealt with many ups and downs with the help of Erwan and Alicia. I cannot say enough about how special Erwan and Alicia are. My life, relationships (romantically and otherwise), and peace have all grown and benefited so much from working with this amazing couple. I took the Pleasure Course exactly two years ago. To say that it changed my life would be an understatement. It made and saved my life in all the ways an already happy and fulfilling life can be enhanced. After 4 friends encouraged us for 9 months to take the course, my boyfriend and I of 6 years finally admitted we needed "help"- i.e. didn't have all the answers at the ripe old age of 23- and registered for the Pleasure Course. Since the next one wasn't for several months, we took advantage of the Romance Coaching conference call program they have and it set us up beautifully to absorb as much as we did from the Pleasure Course. The course itself was a raw, eye- and heart-opening roller coaster. I came into the course thinking "he" had a problem and for some mysterious reason I was never completely happy. The moment I saw how blind I had been to how I was being with him, all of my loved ones, and pretty much anyone I interacted with, was during a man/woman relating exercise. Erwan, one of the course leaders, asked me to say something nice to my boyfriend, ask him for something, and then approve of the action he had taken for me. For the life of me, I could not come up with a compliment on the spot to say to my best friend and true love of 5 years. The most shocking and disorienting part was noticing how pervasive and automatic my negative behavior was- and as soon as I was conscious of it, I have never been as unhappy or unkind again. I left understanding that I had been disapproving of my boyfriend because I was afraid of how much I loved him, and that I am perfect. I wanted to update my previous review, because two years later I am STILL having mind blowing growth from taking courses with Erwan Davon Teachings. I am now married to the man I met in the Pleasure Course and we have a five month old baby. Our relationship has never been deeper or sexier; again I must credit Erwan and Alicia for this. Many people talk about how after they have children, their sex drive declines, there's less of it, children become the priority, perhaps there is more love, but also less passion. After having a child I completely understand how that happens, however, that absolutely does not need to be that way. With support from the year-long course we are taking called Mastery of Relationship, we are keeping our relationship on the front burner and I feel more passionately in love with my husband than ever. Our baby is completely loved and taken care of, but we make sure not to sacrifice our relationship in the process. Erwan is a truly gifted teacher. Though it's not always easy to hear what he says, he has never lead me astray and our lives are constantly enriched by his guidance and support. And did I mention extended orgasm! I was invited to a post pleasure course cocktail party in July 2013 which I met the participants and literally observed each of them glowing as they exited the course room. I was able to speak with a client who explained how safe the environment is that is created by the team and how working with Erwan and Alicia in the Pleasure Course really opened them up in a new and exciting way with regards to love romance and self-worth. I could see the confidence joy and excitement in everyones eyes and I honestly knew right away I wanted that and I was going to go for it and enroll in the Pleasure Course. I met with Both Erwan and Alicia for a consultation and to my surprise, they are very easy to talk to, in fact I felt so easy and comfortable talking with Erwan, it was really refreshing how easy it was to deal with dark and deep emotions and feelings that I have suppressed in acknowledging and truly being OK with. Since the Pleasure Course in Sept 2013, I have an overwhelming amount of confidence when I approach women I am interested in. Additionally, my friends, family and colleagues have all noticed and made many comments on the shift they have seen in my ability to be present and in the moment, I am more attentive and focused, they said they all feel like "I am really listening" and I know exactly what they are talking about, because I AM! I went to a few of their classes a few years ago and never knew what to say about it. Now that I'm learning more about these kinds of groups, I think it's important to address that this is not a real therapy organization as it's advertised. The courses they offer are meant to make money. It's known to be a business, but this organization has no ability to provide help. It breaks people down in order to make people feel like they need to do more and pay more. In my opinion, this couple is manipulative. Neither Alicia nor Erwan have an active degree in therapy. In my experience with them, they inappropriately brought up trauma and traumatized me further. Alicia was much warmer than Erwan, but Erwan was always in charge and was rude and overbearing when he spoke to her. In addition, the young girls that worked for the couple were frequently called "sweetheart" by Erwan and asked to do menial tasks and even were expected to work for free, even when one of the women refused to work for free over one of their 3-day courses. Overall, my message is: do not do this course. The material is outdated, and they are not equipped to help anyone with their trauma. If you want to learn the extended orgasm technique - either just do that course or learn how to meditate. I was so disturbed by their treatment, particularly of the young women that worked for them, that I wouldn't recommend anyone support this company and their dangerous actions. read more

I love working with Erwan and Alicia. I feel like I have been in their presence long before I started working with them due having so many friends that have done their work, including my boyfriend. What I saw in all of them was amazing communication / relating skills, an ability to reach high levels of intimacy and vulnerability, a fun flirty lightness and enjoyment of life infused with depth and meaning.... when I finally took The Pleasure Course, I wasn't disappointed. I can clearly see how the their curriculum and educational structure will support me in improving those skills as well, and probably much more that I'm not aware of. I often consider myself to be a cynic and a skeptic, but there is something with this couple, and their work that has me feeling softer and more open. I am able to take it in, test it out for myself, feel safe to try it out... It's been a very exciting and revealing journey so far, and I'm excited to see what's ahead to come. My relationship is thriving, and it's been a ton of fun to have this class that my boyfriend and I get to go to together, and reach each other on deeper levels, have the support to explore ourselves, and it's just been so much fun!!!!! When I took the pleasure course, my love life was non-existant and I was pretty much resigned to being an unhappy, cynical loner. Then, on New Year's eve, my sister asked me "What do you want out of life?" I had never been asked that before! After a 3 hour conversation, it turned out that what I wanted was an ecstatic, connected, sexual relationship with a woman! She then told me about a course that trains people in having extraordinary romantic lives and I took a step in that direction by signing up. The biggest thing I got out of the course is the capacity to be happy! At the moment I got this, I was sitting in the course, in the back, and silently, cynically criticizing everyone. If one person reads this review and thinks twice about participating in The Pleasure Course, than it has served its purpose. My experience at The Pleasure Course, and with Alicia and Erwan, was traumatizing. My partner and I chose to participate in The Pleasure Course to deepen our intimacy. We did not enter the course feeling shaky about our relationship. On the contrary, we were quite happy and seeking to gain knowledge to grow our companionship. After my partner and I participated in this course, we went to a LICENSED therapist to help us process the trauma (I emphasize "licensed" because neither Pleasure Course instructors are licensed clinicians). Our sessions with a licensed therapist helped us heal from our Pleasure Course experience and brought us closer then ever before. We recently became engaged and are looking forward to a lasting, intimate future--something we were led to believe would not be possible if we didn't continue on with the Erwan Davon teachings. I waited over a year to make this review for fear that I would face some kind of retaliation. I agree wholeheartedly with I.K.'s review from 7/22/2013--The Pleasure Course, to me, was NOT A SAFE SPACE. I have known Erwan for over a decade. In that time I have taken, produced, and co-led over 100 workshops, from communication, intentional circles, relationship and sex.....Landmark, Arête, AMP, and the Men's Circle of San Francisco/East Bay.....and how could I forget One Taste??? I don't think there's a better way of describing the feeling of being so loved and accepted than spending one day with Erwan, Alicia and everyone else who includes themselves in the community. I told them once "Being a part of this makes me feel like I'm a part of the world. I see a part of something bigger that I just know others want to feel too." I used (and sometimes still do) see myself the way I think people perceive me, but now...I perceive better things. I learned to appreciate every moment I'm a part of instead of letting myself get dragged down by what I "think" and just live, present to every second. That's something I never that I'd feel after twenty years of being me. The Pleasure Course and Erwan's other teachings are just a fun place to be, where you get everything back that you put in. I have a great time all the time, because it's what I want and now I know I can have it. If you want specifics and examples I have only the entirety of my time spent with them. I had the good fortune of taking the Pleasure Course in February 2002. It was confronting, challenging, enlightening and life-changing. I knew Erwan from other parts of my life and although I found him difficult to be with at times I always thought he was a brilliant communicator and teacher. I was intrigued by the goals of the course and was always open to new experiences, even if they were at first, uncomfortable. My ability to communicate effectively to any sexual partner after the Pleasure Course was shifted forever. I could say what I felt, where I felt it, how it felt, if I liked it, if I didn't, and what to do to make it better without judgment, without fear, and without wondering if it would be taken the wrong way, etc. I found myself enjoying myself without the automatic constructs of control I had set up in my mind for as long as I could remember. I started to have more fun in my life, even though I was already having a lot of fun! The courses at Erwan Davon Teachings just keep getting better. Erwan continues to hone his teaching style and is continually developing new information. My wife (who I met 5 years ago when I took the Pleasure Course!) and I recently had a baby. Needless to say, it was a very intense experience. It changed our lives in so many amazing ways. It also had a huge impact on our relationship dynamic and sex life. Erwan's Mastery of Relationship Course made all the difference. It provided a safe and secure environment to discuss the issues we were dealing with in adjusting to our new life style. I totally recommend taking a class with Erwan and Alicia if you have the opportunity. I heard an interview with them on a podcast and then decided to check them out. I ended up taking a weekend class with them. It was fantastic! I expected to walk away with a tidbit or two, but the class ended up being a total game changer. I have been involved in Erwan Davon Teachings since I took the Pleasure Course, and my life has shifted so much from this work. When I took the Pleasure Course, I was single. Mid April I took the Pleasure Course because I wanted to challenge myself and learn strategies to help develop my romantic life. I had been dating my partner for a few months and wanted to take it further. By working with EDT I have had an amazing opportunities which has opened up new doors in so many different relationships-- not only in my love life, but at work, with my family-- even with strangers out and about! I took The Pleasure Course about six months ago, and since then I have recommended it to many of my friends and family. It's been a huge driving force for happiness in my life.
