I have gone to the flee almost every event they have had this summer/fall and it was been amazing. There are so many great home, clothing and accessory finds. The vendors are always helpful and friendly and love sharing their sourcing process. Will definitely be a returning customer in the new year and I can't wait to purchase more vintage goods! One of the coolest events I've seen in the DMV area! So many cool antiques to browse through and even some affordable items to explore, like the painting I purchased for $75! Very kind vendors and good food inside as well.

Every quarter I look forward to going to DC Big Flea. As an antique oddity and jewelry collector, I don't think there is a better place to find new treasures. The space is huge with so many vendors and fantastic variety! From clothing and jewelry, to kitchenware and coins - you can't go wrong at DC Flea. I loved how super covid safe it was as well!

Ask the Community - The DC Big Flea Antiques Event

Will there be coins and Currency there?

Yes - There's a dealer from New York who's always there (on the far right wall as you come in, just past the food area). He sells jewelry and coins/currency. He has a wide assortment of dates (from at least the late 1700s), and I think he sells…

I discovered Duckpin Consignment when I was looking to unload some highend handbags and shoes I no longer used. While the staff reviewed my items, I had time to explore the three floors and was so impressed with how the shop was curated and the condition of the offerings. They have clothing, shoes, sunglasses, handbags, belts and jewelry. The inventory is extensive and they are particular with what they accept for consignment, they review condition on all items so a lot of the stuff is very gently used, almost new. A great place to treat yourself to something nice!

Duckpin takes only the best and highest quality secondhand items in the area. While the selection for selling your clothes can be picky, you expect fair commission and payouts in a timely manner. Service is always great if you're in the store! Commission when selling clothes is 50/50 which is pretty high for the area in terms of consigning. Your items, if taken by the store, are almost guaranteed to sell, ensuring you receive great money for your items.

I brought in a brand-new pair of Badgley Mischka shoes (retail value $139) that I received as a gift but couldn't wear because they were too small. They offered me $9, which I declined--no big deal. I planned to sell them elsewhere. The issue happened when an employee placed a pricing sticker directly on the shoe. When she removed it, it ripped part of the finish and left behind paper and adhesive residue. I pointed it out immediately, but I was told it was "just paper" and that it would come off. When I got home, I realized the residue wasn't coming off, and the sticker had actually damaged the shoe. I returned to the store to explain what happened. The owner looked at them and told me it was "no big deal" because the damage was barely noticeable. She offered me $40 for the shoes instead of taking responsibility for the damage her employee caused. These shoes were brand new, still in the box, and were only damaged because of how they were handled in the store. What disappointed me most wasn't just the damage--it was the complete lack of accountability. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that they had caused the problem, and no real effort to make it right. When I asked if they could offer $50 instead, I was told they would lose money. At that point, it was clear the focus was on protecting their profit rather than taking care of a loyal customer. I'm still shocked by how this situation was handled. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way.
