I discovered Duckpin Consignment when I was looking to unload some highend handbags and shoes I no longer used. While the staff reviewed my items, I had time to explore the three floors and was so impressed with how the shop was curated and the condition of the offerings. They have clothing, shoes, sunglasses, handbags, belts and jewelry. The inventory is extensive and they are particular with what they accept for consignment, they review condition on all items so a lot of the stuff is very gently used, almost new. Stopped in today to drop off some items for consignment and it was such an easy process! The staff took the items immediately and took about 10 mins or so and they went over the process and we were done. While waiting, I browsed across their three floors and they had an overwhelming selection of item with 50% off items in the basement level. Stopped by today to see if I could consign a few items, and even though they didn't take anything, the ladies working here were very nice. I had called last week to see if they took formal dresses, and at the time I was told they do (although not if the dresses were like prom dresses, etc.). Today I came in with about half a dozen dresses and was told they would look, but ultimately didn't think anything would work for them. They were going to take some jewelry I had, but given they don't pay for the items upfront (I believe you consign with them, they sell and then you get a portion once it sells). While they were looking at the things I brought in, I had a chance to look around. They have a lot of really nice things to include designer purses, sunglasses, shoes, clothing-- the prices from what I could see were fair and the items were in great condition. If you're looking for a deal on some higher end things, this might be a good fit for you! read more

Not a great experience. Lacking in customer service and fashion. Brought in several items and was asked if I had ever been before. I said no. I would've appreciated a - hi! Welcome in! We're happy to have you - Please look around! Instead I was told "we'll let you know when we're done going through your things." No warmth or welcoming. Just weird for a small consignment shop. In the meantime, I looked around and my only thought was... yikes! This stuff is DATED! Lots of Lilly Pulitzer, haven't seen people in that since the mid 2000's. Some of the old tweed 2 pieces pastel suits girls used to wear in middle school... never seen anyone in these nowadays. For a place that notes they don't accept Old Navy, they sure had a TON of J Crew, which is maybe one step above? But not a brand I'd ever buy second hand... The racks were also FULL TO THE BRIM and it was hard to sort through... Also because I was never welcomed to the store, I didn't know what they had or if I was allowed to go upstairs, I had to ask myself, just a poor experience. Do not shop here. Buyer beware. I bought a designer bag here in March and returned it two hours later suspecting it was fake. i asked for my money back and the guy said well we can't do that because you may have taken our bag and in two hours exchanged it for a fake. Really. what an insult. He took the bag from me and REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. The store has had the bag I paid for for about 90 days and not reached out to me for a refund. Rather he called to threaten me saying a customer videoed me saying I was going to blow up his business. Actually, I offered to hold off on bad reviews if he would refund my money. I have waited long enough. Sadly I had to get my bank involved to obtain my money but they too are saying the merchant is not responding to their inquiries. What a shame Duckpin won't just do the right thing. What kind of operation takes your money and your merchandise, then accuses you of substituting a fake and threatening to blow up the business? A desperate business, that's who. I am still out both my money and a bag. read more

Great place with a nice collection and array of pieces! I definitely recommend checking it out! The staff is extremely nice! The place over all is 3 floors with multiple rooms on each floor. I didn't/haven't yet tried to sell anything here so I can't comment on that experience. They have a great social media presence on Instagram so you are constantly updated with at least their top designer items. In terms of price, it's relatively compatible with any of the 2nd hand markets online which is why I didn't give it quite the 5 stars. It's no particular steal when you're looking to invest on a significant piece. read more

I had a great time at Duckpin during a recent visit to the Baltimore area. The shop is clean- no musty clothing smell here- and bright, and there is a ton of inventory. The items are displayed aesthetically throughout the main floor, which each separate area sorted by size, and accessories are sprinkled throughout. It looks pretty, and I think this is where the "adventure" comes in: you really have to make a few passes around the store to ensure you've seen any potential treasures in your size. The more upscale designer items are on the main floor, but there are an upstairs and downstairs area as well. On the day of my visit the downstairs area was 50% off. The prices are not dirt cheap, but are comparable to what you would pay for quality secondhand items on marketplaces like Poshmark, Mercari, etc.- plus you have the valuable benefit of being able to try them on in one of the two fitting rooms. I'm not generally a huge shopper, but the finds here were so good that I left with two dresses, a pair of shoes, and a bag. I look forward to adding Duckpin to my regular Baltimore rotation. read more

Duckpin is my favorite consignment shop in Maryland! I've both been a customer and consigner and both experiences have been excellent. They have sold nearly all my items and are able to get me a check quickly at the shop. Their process is efficient and streamlined and I appreciate that after not as pleasant experiences elsewhere. Andrea the owner is so lovely and knows me by name and the employees are amazing too! I've also bought some wonderful pieces (including an evening gown for the Marine ball etc) and amazing designer bags that I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford as a student! "This store stinks and so does the customer service" Let my review be a cautionary tale to NEVER do business with Duckpin! First the store smells like the local goodwill. For a consignment shop to sell such high value items you would think they would purchase oil plug ins and or candles. This speaks to their lack of regard for customers' shopping experience. I digress... I consigned a Louis Vuitton Piano tote with them. My bag sold for less than the agreed amount. I was not alerted that my bag was sold during their mothers day sale. Per their flawed policy the onus is on the consigner (Me) to check to see if DuckPin is running a sale. However, I was not informed of their mailing list when I initially brought my bag to consign. I was informed today about the mailing list and that it is how they communicate with their customers regarding sales. I explained to the young women that I was not aware of the mailing list and she told me "I should've followed them on Instagram and or Facebook for updates." The "owner" I suppose white male came from the back to reiterate their flawed policy. To make matters worse he attempted to minimize my concern by stating "you only are not receiving X amount back." In the "owners" ignorance he willfully missed the point of principal and not about money. Last, I will say adhere to negative reviews and they are correct. The girl that looked at them took about 5 pieces of my jewelry and the purse and then gave them back to me....???????? This shop is not on Rodeo Drive (don't even know if owner knows where that is).....consignment is consignment...not brand name items for full sale price. I own an Audi and Mercedes Benz and live in a million dollar house........my items were very nice. I have appt in June with my old consignment shop....Great finds and Designs....while they don't take clothing they will take jewelry and purses...I've made over $10,000 a year consigning with them. I stopped in today to consign several items that I had inherited. I was treated very well. I ended up shopping and buying several very nice items that still have the price tag attached. There are a lot of high-end brands available, the shop is very clean and everything is displayed very nicely. They have lots of jewelry, bags, scarves, dresses, pants, shorts, shirts, maxi dresses etc. There was even a room on the lower level where everything was 50% off. I LOVE this place. Today was my first time to visit and I was blown away by the range of designers, the great and helpful but not overbearing customer service and the very reasonable prices. I was there for over an hour and witnessed the owners dealing with both shoppers and consignors and they're so professional and nice. It's in a cool old house and is three floors of everything from Anthropologie brands, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Joie to Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Chanel and Gucci, some of it with the original retail tags still attached. The space is beautiful but cozy and I found it a very relaxing and fun place to shop. It's conveniently located, very easy to get to and there is a free parking lot next to it. Not only did I find some wonderful things (Haute Hippie and Trina Turk) but I'm now going to consign some of my things with them as well. It's definitely worth your time to stop in and check it out. There may be other consignment stores in that general area but this one is the best by far. Hands down. read more
