My memory for doing the steps on my own is not so great, however, my trepidations were erased as soon as I took my first class. This is an award-winning husband and wife team. As soon as I set foot in the door Danny and his lovely wife Catia immediately made me feel welcome. My instructor is Danny and he had me dancing right away. He is great on helping me with my form and helps by repeating the moves until I get it. He is encouraging, kind, helpful and respectful which goes a long way towards easing my nerves. The ballroom is very beautiful, elegant and large. Even after the first few weeks of lessons I had a grasp on the major dances and feel confident enough to go out dancing. I'm still taking lessons and getting better all the time. I highly recommend Grand Ballroom and Dance Sport USA.

The instructor is very patient as neither my fiance nor myself know how to dance. I really enjoyed the two lessons we have had so far. Dancing lessons can be requested for styles including the foxtrot, waltz, etc. This place also holds parties for students. They have package pricing if you want to continue. I like the class because it really gets deep into the fundamentals unlike some of the other beginner classes at other dance studios. If you want your child to have a proper music education, send them anywhere else. You would probably be better watching YouTube tutorials. I think the issues stem from the top down. They are nickel and diming everyone, and the quality of work isn't worth the price. I can't tell you how many teachers my kid has had, and no they don't tell you. My child has gotten attached to three teachers only for them to never return. Front desk staff also turns over far too often. I've heard anecdotally from other parents that they do not treat their staff properly. I think the turnover rate speaks for itself. And the replacement teachers are young, clueless, and don't know their right hand from their left. Issues of racism and ableism are also an open secret. But I can't put up with this any longer. I have heard of multiple instances from parents about mistreatment or black and autistic children (and their families). I know the front desk refused to look a black mother in the eye. Anyway, I pulled my child out several weeks ago. I reccomend any parent looking for lessons to go anywhere else.

It is never too late to begin and you get very professional step by step directions from instructors who are not just experienced dancers but also have professional and kind personalities. Everyone I have gotten to know is so kind and it feels like a big family. Dance has become my sport and I am now in the best shape since I did martial arts at a high level years ago. Through DWM I have also extended my network and built some unique friendships and connections around the country. Because of my desire to practice a lot, I have taken advantage of our option of also training with current and previous World Level professional dancers. My experience with these very high level teachers, judges, and dancers is the same as the in house instructors. Super down to earth, kind, and approachable. A grateful student.
