She says "uh hang on" then calls over another cashier who looks around the front of the store for a second and says "yeah they're not up here" I then begin to question if I'm in the twilight zone and state "she says you have them in stock but their in your backroom. I would like to purchase one can someone go and get me a can of pepper spray?" The cashier repeats that theyre not upfront- to which I finally break and stare "it appears that I'm being an inconvenience to you all by asking you to do your job while you're at your job. Clearly no one wants to help or sell this product to me so I will take my business elsewhere" I can't recommend going to another location. I get that the product I'm looking for isn't a regularly sold item at Dicks but for Christ sake; if it's available why is no one trying to sell a customer their product? And it made me look like the asshole- which makes me not only never want to come back here but to write a review on how awful the place is to convince more customers to not come here. Two terrible experiences with the marine service and parts department yesterday…read more 1) On Tuesday I called about getting a PWC battery. I was told to call ahead of time so they can add acid and charge up the battery, no problem. I was told the battery was $172 (before taxes, etc). I called the next day to order the battery and when I picked it up I was charged $203 (before taxes, etc.) I told the salesperson that I was told the battery was $172, he didn't care, he charged me $203. 2) They add 3% if you use a credit card, but not if you use a debit card or pay by check. No problem, I get it, but I told them you should let people know ahead of time (I would have brought a debit card), the salesperson said "sometimes" we tell the customer (huh?), the salesperson could care less. The salespeople's attitude was that they didn't care at all that they screwed this customer. I'm afraid they have lost a longtime and repeating (PWC and ski package) customer. Maybe business is so good they don't care about customers.

They did an excellent job educating me about my new boat as this is my first boat after purchasing a Hobie Pro Angler from them years ago. They put a lot of time, attention, and detail into prepping my boat so it would be water ready. They worked with me to get all the features on the boat that met my needs. VIP Treatment with the boat pickup as they were flexible with scheduling, had a congratulations sign, everyone walking on the boat took their shoes off, they consistently offered drinks/restroom, their service guys came out to answer technical questions, and they highlighted critically important parts of the manual so I may quickly revisit for review as a lot of information was covered during pick up. They don't just want to sell you, but they want to make sure you are set up for success, you are safe, and you have an all around great experience on the water and with Buckeye. Customer oriented all around. Would recommend anyone give Buckeye the first stop before looking elsewhere.
