My friend and I happened to run into Luis and Bernadette and they happily opened the doors for us to take a look around. They just opened this facility earlier this month! Not only did all of their equipment and facility look new but it all looked clean. Even their showers were spotless! They let us test out some of their equipment, which was so much fun for someone like me who isn't the biggest fan of cardio. They have rowing machines, plenty of boxing bags, a bunch of weights, ropes, and so much more. I like how they alternate between upper body, lower body, and full body workouts depending on the day. They offer bootcamp classes, focusing more on weights and strength/toning training. They also offer cardio boxing classes, which focuses more on boxing techniques, etc. Each class ranges from 50-55 minutes. They offer 12 month memberships and they also have a month-to-month option as well. Once you're a member, you have access to all of their other locations. Just talking with Luis and Bernadette made me motivated and excited to work out again on a consistent schedule. Their positive, energetic presence is all you need to stay motivated! I can't wait to try out one of their classes!

We love our team and members. We're looking forward to helping our community get fit and healthy!…read more Come by to check us out.

I tend to try things and not going back, but KBXC classes kept me going! I always look forward for my next class. It helped lock it with my fitness journey! Something that I was never persistent about. Now, I've been working out 5 times a week for the past 2 months. During my first week, I could barely catch my breath and had little knowledge of kickboxing moves and techniques but these didn't discourage me from keep trying. The classes start with intense fitness workout and then focus on kickboxing combos. I highly recommend everyone to sign up for their 1 week trial. This will help you find the trainer that best fits you and your fitness goal. They have multiple locations (Orange, Downey, Lakewood) with diverse qualified trainers. I enjoy taking Jazzmine's classes when I need someone uplifting that encourages me throughout the workout. I take Brianna's classes when I need intense combos and lower body workouts and if you are looking for technique and form, definitely take Kevin and Josh's classes! Your environment and the people you surround yourself with have a big influence on your mindset, energy, and success. This definitely applies to KBXC! Thank you to all the trainers for your hard work! Sable

Jazzmine is always a standout, but I've also had great experiences with Eric, Josh, Michael, Derrick, and Briana. I've never walked out with anything but good energy. I look forward to every class, even on the days I'm dragging. This place has become a highlight of my routine, and I can't recommend it enough.

The environment is supportive, and the programming is perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. The workouts push you to become a better version of yourself. I'm so thankful I found FIT Brea! Over the past several years that I've lived in the area, I've…read morebeen a part of various gyms (both chain and boutique) nearby. Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!

That was a year ago and I'm still going 3-4x a week. I'm so hooked and addicted. Love how it transformed my body and gave me definitions. BBX is for all levels of fitness from beginners to experienced. It will take a few classed to know the moves and once you get them you can't help but to give it your all and you'll find yourself always taking your workout to the next level and wanting to push yourself. First class if free... There's no reason not to try it out. NOTE: take the form workshop when it's available...you'll see how it will take your workout to the next level plus it will help you know the moves and learn about AMR (applied muscle resistance)

THE WORKOUT: You will NOT get this on the first try. This is like a Zumba type dancing class where there are names for each move and they string along each of the different moves into a routine. The moves are renditions of cardio kickboxing moves. RESULTS: I personally didn't lose weight doing BBX ( i'm pretty thin already), but it was DEFINITELY good cardio and there are a lot of squatting moves which made my legs burn the next day. CLASS ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere is really positive, a lot of Latinas who really know how to move (i'm asian..we don't move that well...) Low key, people wear T-shirts and target workout pants. WHY I DON'T GO ANYMORE: They repeat the "routine" with the same song for like an entire month, so you can see improvement...but eventually this gets boring for me. TIPS: If you feel stupid doing Zumba...I would think twice about doing this. But overall if you can just let yourself be silly and have fun its a great burst of cardio during the week!
