There also isn't a lot of 1 on 1 focus like you would get in other places unless you fork up 89 bucks an hour extra, and any extra party's, gatherings, inhouse stuff cost extra . By the end it's cheaper to go elsewhere.Classes are to big and coaches do not correct the students doing the moves wrong nor make sure they get the correct moves down. They show them 1 to 2 times in the beginning then leave them to it. I don't see how anyone will get any better. It's left to the parents . ...... This is a long awaited review! My roommates and I were looking for something to do together fitness-wise and stumbled across NOC Martial Arts' cardio kickboxing class on groupon. In short, 1 month turned into 6 months. We loved it! We usually did the 8am classes to get us going in the morning. Cam, our instructor, always kept our workouts different every time we went. Shout out to him!! He's very attentive and really motivates you to keep going during the whole session. The classes consisted of kickboxing plus some sort of circuit training in between -either focusing on legs, upper body, core etc. depending on the day, and meditation/stretches at the end. We loved how our workouts were always different each session, it really kept us going! We wish we started this sooner. Would've definitely kept going if we didn't move out of the area. If you're nearby or even hesitant about doing it, just go for it! This place is 100/10 and definitely worth it :-) read more

I started my petite 7yr old daughter there because I knew she would eventually encounter bullying. I wanted her to be able to defend herself. This place is not only good, it's within most budgets. The trainers here are fantastic. Good with kids, working within the child's ability, and teaching focus, respect and dicipline. My daughter loves the classes, and the other students. Every session they learn something new, and yet still cover the basics. It keeps the kids interested and motivated. I am taking the women's bootcamp and defense class. My 16 yr old son is a high caliber martial arts athlete and is constantly looking to improve. When we moved to this area it was hard to find a gym that could be helpful to him; many were around to make money on kids (black belt factories) and others to sell "their" brand of martial arts. We have found NOCMA to be an excellent gym with high caliber instructors, excellent workout partners, various types of martial arts and perfect times for classes. They often have classes and seminars taught by well-respected competitors high in their field. They workout and train their athletes like any quality coach would, but they do it in a very family feel atmosphere. Everyone at NOCMA supports their "martial arts family" by going to competitions and supporting trainings before the competitions. Not everyone is at NOCMA to become an MMA fighter, but every person there has the drive to push themselves as hard and as far as they can, which is directly attributable and buoyed by the staff. If you are woman looking for self-defense classes, a great workout or to become an MMA competitor this is the place for you.
