Dr. Torre is not only a superior dental surgeon/implantologist/ and overall terrific dentist, but he is one of the kindest and most patient medical professionals I have encountered in my life. He has taken me through quite a few difficult dental surgeries, including implants and root canals, with extreme attention to my safety and comfort. His compassion for the patient is overwhelmingly beautiful. His surgical procedures are smooth and provide the patient with fearless experiences. A most amazing thing about Dr. Tom is that he takes time to discuss all questions and information with his patients. With me, he has been remarkably understanding of my apprehension prior to the several dental surgeries that he performed, while also advising me on possible medications. Each surgery was successful due to his brilliant skill and accurate preparation for each step of all surgical procedures. Dr. Tom works with his heart, along with his skill. What more can I say? I said the coupon said it includes the x-rays and he said that he has to have the more extensive ones for $125.00 extra. I said OK. So they took the X-rays and he proceded to clean my teeth. He barely did any cleaning and sprayed some kind of sandy stuff in my mouth and told me I was done. I hyave had my teeth cleaned many times before and it should have taken him at least 20 minutes. He was done in less than 5 minutes. He did nothing else to my teeth or with the X-rays. He did not say anything about my 2 loose teeth or the other problems I have. I was so dissappointed. I wound up paying almost $200.00 for nothing. I felt like he did not clean my teeth properly or like any other dentist does. Please do not fall for that trick with the coupon again. BEWARE: Rude, Dishonest, and Completely Unprofessional…read more I normally don't write reviews, but my experience with Gental Dental in Lyndhurst, NJ was so outrageous that I feel obligated to warn others. Back in early 2024, I went in for a consultation, and the dentist recommended a crown for my implant. He took measurements, and we scheduled a follow-up appointment. However, the very next day, I changed my mind, called the office, cancelled the appointment, and specifically told them not to send anything to the lab. The staff confirmed the cancellation over the phone. Still unsure, I proactively contacted my insurance provider to explain what happened and asked them to cancel any pending authorizations for Gental Dental -- except for that single initial visit. Fast forward over a year later, and I receive a letter from a collections agency for $1,800+ claiming I owe Gental Dental for a crown that I never received. When I called the clinic to dispute it, they falsely claimed the crown was done and I never called to cancel, even though I never set foot in that office again after the first visit. They said they would "check with the doctor and call me back" -- of course, no one ever did. Today, when I followed up for the third time, the front desk staff was shockingly rude, dismissive, and condescending. They repeatedly spoke over me, refused to listen, and ultimately told me to "deal with the collections agency" . No apology, no accountability, and zero professionalism. Not only is the office outdated and the staff consistently rude, but what they're doing is flat-out dishonest. They tried to bill my insurance for a procedure that was never done, and when the claim was denied (as it should've been), they turned around and sent me to collections -- hoping I wouldn't fight it. It's appalling that a dental practice -- especially one run by a doctor who's supposedly close to retirement -- would stoop to this level of greed and deception. This is not just bad service, it's unethical and predatory behavior. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.
