Pro: -easy online appointment. All paperwork filled out online. Save time upon arrival. Texts received for appointment reminders. - Ms Woo is not exactly friendly but she is professional. She's doing her job. A little rush at the end. She did explain pretty clearly and answered my questions. - Bathroom is clean Con: - street parking with meter. Some residential parking but impossible to find. No private parking lot. - Despite appointment made and arriving on time, I still waited at the lobby for 35 min before being passed in. Tip: NEVER pay with your credit card, including with your FSA/HSA card. But if you did and they overcharge you, IMMEDIATELY call your card company to reverse the charges. Trying to contact them to resolve it will be a huge waste of your time. I paid the copay with my FSA card and then months later, they charged my FSA card without my consent for a supposed balance. They made a mistake in their billing system by ignoring the reduced-rate that they agreed upon with my insurance company and then billed me for the rate difference. This is basically insurance fraud. It takes hours to reach someone on the phone and then even if they agree that it's a mistake, nothing gets fixed. They just push the matter to their outsourced billing company where the matter dies. Or they make up an excuse that it's my insurance deductible. Even when my insurance company calls them, they again tell them it'll be fixed but then nothing. It's likely they are not actively trying to commit insurance fraud but just made a mistake with their billing. But they will not take ownership of the mistake. They will say anything to get you off the phone by making up claims with no evidence or supposedly escalating the matter to another department. They will not give you their full name, contact number, or even department name. Their treatment seems fine. But their billing is horrible. Pay with cash. Or go somewhere else. read more

I went there because they would not giving me a refill for my prescription. To be seen for 5 minutes by the doctor, I had to put up with half hour of harassment from the rude and obnoxious receptionist. She was completely unprofessional. I would not go back there. Twice i have had something removed, and twice they never called with pathology results. They said they would call me in 2 weeks and it has been 7 weeks. I've called 4 times, left messages that I want my results, and they continue to ignore my requests. Many years ago, i did have a melanoma removed and I am fine, however, I visit every 6 months and these visits are major to me. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. These are the type of providers that tell you your wound might be leaking spinal fluid, promise to call you the next day (then don't) and don't return your calls over the weekend when you're in terrible pain and seeking guidance on what to do. You have to beg them to give you test results...one person says they have it but a provider needs to give them to you, then the provider says they don't have the results after all. There's no way to get in touch with the actual locations...you have to deal with the inept call center employees. negative rating ! terrible This is the worst dermatology office - do not go and do not waste your time. I waited five weeks to get a telecall for my 103 year old mother. The call did not go through the first two times because of their incompetence. I waited and waited for the third time and to find after 15 minutes from the scheduled call that the doctor would not see her. Tried for a walk in appointment and was told wait could be up to 1 hour even though there was only 1 person in the place who left after 5 minutes. They required a copy of my drivers license and credit card - since when do doctors need that? Receptionist could only reply with "that's our policy" so went to Optum where they only need your insurance card and ask you to pay your copay. I've consistently had poor experiences with this company, regardless of location--which tells me the issue goes beyond just one office. I've visited multiple locations thinking perhaps it was just a particular doctor or team, but unfortunately, the problems seem to be systemic across the entire franchise. Friendly facility but the doctors have been neglectful and careless, especially when it comes to prescriptions. I've had instances where mistakes were made on medications prescribed. When I call ahead to confirm appointments or get information, the staff provides no helpful details or follow-up. Most recently, I scheduled a chemical peel. I called in advance to confirm everything -- they quickly scheduled my appointment but then failed to verify insurance coverage or inform me that I needed to stop using my topical treatments a few days beforehand, which is basic protocol, but of course the day of my appointment, I couldn't receive the treatment I wanted due to my insurance not being verified. I then discussed prescription refills with the provider and medical assistant, and was told they would be sent to my pharmacy, waited four days, and found out nothing had been sent at all. It's incredibly frustrating trying to work with a company where no one seems informed or empowered to help, and the doctors--who do have the answers--are never reachable. Their name, Dermatology Specialists, is really funny. I didn't find any specialists here. Only a Physician Assistant (PA) who told me she was given a 3 month training session before she was set free to treat patients on her own! She ended up misdiagnosing me. I had my second visit today. Whoever I saw had 0 bedside manners, could not understand her name and credentials. The visit went basically being put into the room and asked why I was there. The person went to get "Doctor" maybe who came and was out in 2 mins. Spoke condensing to me basically saying I should not be getting cortisone injections regularly but if she took the time to ask what my concern was she would have known i hadn't had/needed it since one year. Additionally, no follow up care provided. This was my second visit and it was worst from the first one. Do not recommend this business. Also to note, upon arrival front desk was swift but could be trained better at customer service. The girl day took my insurance and said nothing to me. So I went and sat. She proceeded to ask me questions from where I was sitting with another patient there filling out forms it seemed like. It is appalling that this is a healthcare provider. read more

Awful experience with Dr. Trager. He does not listen to patients and failed to correctly diagnose and treat a straightforward issue. I came in for treatment of a rash on my face, which I have experienced a few times since I was a teenager--exactly the same appearance and behavior in exactly the same spot. I already knew what it was and that it required antibiotics, as I had gone to a dermatologist the last time it occurred (several years ago) and had it successfully diagnosed. I told Dr. Trager about my history and asked for antibiotics. I also showed Dr. Trager that I had been to a clinic while living abroad over the summer and that the doctor there (who I could not properly communicate with due to a language barrier) tried giving me prescriptions for a different condition, eczema, that didn't work. So I needed medication to deal with the condition I actually had and not eczema. Instead of crediting this explanation, Dr. Trager decided that he would try to AGAIN treat for eczema. Even worse, he prescribed a steroid cream that is widely known to worsen the condition I actually had. I complained and he changed the prescription to something else, but it was still for eczema. He agreed that if I purchased and tried that prescription and it didn't work, he would consider prescribing antibiotics. So I tried it. Predictably, it did not help. I went back for my follow-up a couple weeks later and asked for the proper prescription. Dr. Trager refused with almost no explanation and offered no alternatives. While he did not make me pay for the follow-up appointment, I had already wasted money and weeks of my time on a prior appointment and prescription that completely failed to address a KNOWN issue. I went elsewhere, had no issue getting the antibiotics, and they healed the rash. This is a relatively common condition for women my age. For Dr. Trager to fail to diagnose it--on a patient with a clear and articulated medical history--is complete incompetence. All in all a huge waste of my money and weeks of my time. This place billed me for $400 when I have insurance and then took it out of my account. I had to go back and forth to finally get it back because they finally admitted that it was a mistake on their end. I give a second chance and go for an appt only to find out I have a balance and they couldn't even tell me what it is for. Then to top it off I can't be seen now after coming all the way to the office because they expect me to pay a balance without telling me what it's for. Why would I pay for a balance when I was wrongly charged the last time and don't know what it is for. I used to get mail from them and it stopped and then they tell me that they sent me a bill in the mail multiple times. I have never gotten it, the last bill I got was the last time I had an incident with them. Why would I schedule an appt to come back to a place if I knew I had a balance that wasn't paid. I am currently looking for a new dermatologist. If the people in the front were nicer then maybe I I would put up with the fact that they keep wrongly charging me. I am done. Don't go here if you want billing issues and to be over charged. The dermatologists here are good but the front desk staff and the billing department are horrible. read more

Office visit was fine its the telephone calls to follow up that are a nightmare. You cannot speak directly to the office on the phone, instead its a call center that tries to handle the issue but I've tried letting them handle it for a month now and the doctor still hasn't submitted the prior authorization to my insurance company like they said they would. In fact i was told that they did but it was denied and when i called my insurance to appeal they said there was never a PA submitted. I have asked to speak directly with the Kings Highway location and was told they would send a message but still not hearing back. This organization is inadequate service. read more

I found it easy to make appointments, the location is convenient, the office is clean and professional but more importantly the medical care has met my needs. Horrible office. They told me i was seeing a dermatologist and they gave me a P.A. who took the wrong piece of healthy tissue was removed. I showed the P.A. the suspicious spot and she put a purple mark on it. yet she went ahead and removed a healthy piece.
