While the store does offer some customization, expanding its luxury and fully customized design services would better serve customers looking for more personalized, high-end home upgrades. The sales associates were adequately knowledgeable about many of the products. However, there were opportunities to provide more in-depth information about certain core products and services that are especially relevant to homeowners in this area. Customer follow-up could also be strengthened. I had to request a business card so I could ask additional questions and obtain a quote. A more proactive approach--such as offering a business card and inviting customers to reach out with future questions or project needs--would help build stronger relationships and create a better overall customer experience. We had a very good experience with our tub to shower conversion. The tiler did a great job and worked efficiently and cleanly. Do NOT use this company. We packed up our house and completely moved out for three weeks. Only to move back in and realize EVERYTHING was done wrong. Wrong carpet installed. Wrong grout used. Sloppy caulking. Our freshly painted cabinets to be scratched and scraped and tile mud slapped all over it. The company first tried blaming us for the carpet saying we signed a contract for the carpet but when you were promised a price match for carpet and a picture sent to them showing what carpet you want. The company couldn't back out of that corner they put themselves in. They "kindly" offered to fix the carpet, grout and caulking. Told us the carpet guys would be aware they had furniture to move, they were not! So my husband and I moved most of it. They had someone come out and stain the grout. Showed up the day before Thanksgiving as we were trying to pack and leave for the holiday to work when he said he wouldn't be back until Saturday. Super nice guy but some spots got missed so even he had to come back out. Our brand new fridge got dented when he moved it out to stain the grout under there. Caulking guy came out and completed the dining room only. Needless to say... when you move out of your house to give a crew an empty house to work there is NO EXCUSE for them to not take full advantage and complete a job correctly so the home owners aren't inconvenienced for over three months of workers being in and out of their house. We had a locked key on our door for three months so I couldn't even shower when my husband was home because I never knew when workers would just show up will my kids are running around the house. This job should have been a zero profit job with all the mess ups and inconveniences. Did they discount some things yes, but there should have been more done and I'm honestly disgusted that this was the company we chose. read more

We hired the team at The Design House to do our master bathroom remodel and carpets throughout our house. Cindy was our sales rep that helped us through the design process. Being new to home ownership, and further home improvements, it was really helpful to work with her to scope this out. The install went well - to have the tiling, flooring, and granite countertop needs and installs happen all under one roof. This made the hand off between the phases smooth. We were impressed with the project timeline as we got all this done in less than a week. We have since had their team replace flooring at our office and they did an excellent job there as well. If I could give zero stars I would. Our experience has been absolutely horrible. From the wrong cabinets being ordered to terrible work it could not have been worse. Our project, kitchen remodel, was to take 2 to 3 weeks. We are now approaching 10 months. We are on the third set of drawer fronts and still not right. Almost everything has needed to be re-done at least once, sometimes 3 and 4 times. There is almost no communication with us and between themselves. They schedule a time to come work and don't show up. When they do show up it's late in the afternoon and they stay for a few hours. So instead of having your life disrupted for a day, it will be disrupted everyday for weeks on end. If things don't fit, are broken, or wrong colors they install them anyway and hope you don't notice. Are cupboards were installed 28 inches from the counter tops and when we continually told them they looked too high, we were told that is the code in TX only to find out there is no code. Now I can just reach the first shelf. They have told us they are going to make it right but every time they "fix" something, 10 more problems are created. I can't emphasize enough that you need to go elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle. read more

She is just a phone call away if I have questions with the day progress. The whole project is scheduled for 5 week, we are in week two and everything is what I was quoted. Installation and customer follow up was amazing. Installer was an artist, matching the custom tile and stain to the original and took pride in his work as if he was going to leave his signature on it. Office staff called to confirm appointment and that the installer was in route and followed up after install. All in all, very positive experience and beautiful work on the flooring. read more

The "Design House", formerly known as "Carpet Plus" have a large ad in the April 2018 addition of a local paper. In this ad, they have the audacity to include a picture of a room in our house, even if they had ZERO to do with the design of our house. Furthermore, the countertop in the picture was not purchased from them. Our Argyle builder did use crews from Carpet Plus / The Design House on tile jobs in the bathrooms and the kitchen. Most of this work was of such poor quality that it had to be re-done. Many of the workers were unskilled and unqualified. We would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, much less support their advertising. read more

Recently used The Design House to remodel a bathroom and install flooring in two bedrooms. Kelsey Tieken was our designer and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. Kelsey was instrumental and professional in assisting us in the selection of materials and the entire design concept. Design is not our strong point and Kelsey's skills made up for our lack of design sense. She made the process flow smoothly with fabulous results. Meagan Nelson handled all the scheduling and logistics expertly and was always available to resolve scheduling issues. All after the fact issues were handled promptly.
