I went to A1 based on a reference from a family friend. My wife and I were interested in getting stone countertops, backsplash and a new sink. A1 was able to provide all of these items. We went to their location off of 35W and were met by Tiviri and Kasey. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable in all aspects of the work we desired. They also were very patient in ensuring that my wife was getting exactly what she wanted. They even went so far as to wet the backsplash tiles so as to show exactly how they would look once the sealer was applied. We completed the choices and awaited A1 to come out for a measurement. For the initial pricing visit and the followup for the exacting measurements, the representatives from A1 were very professional. Once we received the quote, we were pleased at the price in comparison to other installers. We paid the deposit and got the ball rolling. We received a call a week later and were invited to come to the factory to inspect the stone. The workers had already placed tape on the stone to indicate the exact cuts. I highly recommend visiting the factory to view the stone, the customer service experience was great. One week after the inspection we had the install. Again the installers were very professional and we were very satisfied with the work. I went into A1 Flooring Granite b/c a friend recommended them after I had a slab leak repair done. The floor was destroyed by the plumbers and the wood laminate planks damaged. Since the laminate was 8 years old there was no matching the color/style so I walked into A1 and Mike was so helpful. He asked me if there was anywhere else in the house where excess laminate could be "borrowed" from and moved to replace the kitchen planks-voila, problem solved! They removed the laminate floor from the laundry room and used it to replace the kitchen floor that was damaged. Then, I chose a beautiful ceramic tile from their large showroom in Lewisville to redo the laundry room to my liking! The cost was completely reasonable and I was so happy with their work and honesty about the most cost effective way to repair the floor without having to redo the entire kitchen laminate. The problem was solved in 2 days. Their customer service is excellent, and both Ivan and Mike worked within my budget to finish the job beautifully. From the first contact Sal at A1 Flooring & Granite was very responsive and really listened to what we wanted for our kitchen. When he came out for an estimate, he even brought out samples based on our discussions which was really nice, not all of our bids did that. The pricing estimate was close to our other bids, but what made us go with Sal and A1 was the fact that we felt like we could trust him. It can be an uneasy thought having people come in and out of your home that you do not know, but we felt comfortable with Sal and his contractors doing the work. The A1 showroom has everything that you could possibly need to envision your new kitchen, and what they don't have on hand, they can show you and order it. They also have a great selection of granite on hand. From start to finish the work took roughly 2.5 weeks. When he first told us 2 - 3 weeks, we were prepared for 4 - 5, but he delivered on his promise. He kept me posted on the schedule constantly and let me know who would be at our house and when. I can't say enough good things about Tiviri and the good people at A1 Granite. My wife and I recently had our old Formica countertops replaced with granite and a new backsplash installed. Tiviri went above and beyond the call of duty on many occasions to help us. One evening, he stayed at work until after 7 PM to work with us in outlining how we wanted our slab of granite cut for our counter tops, even though they close at 6. He was always prompt to answer my text messages and questions, and I asked quite a few. The work these guys do is beyond excellent. The granite fit perfectly, looks beautiful, and was installed in a total of 2 hours time at the house (including tear out of the old counter). The work Juan did on our backsplash is gorgeous. I had the pleasure of working with Tiviri for a couple of projects. First, I had an existing piece of granite that was a previously installed counter top, cut to make room for a new refrigerator cabinet that was being built. The guy that came out did fantastic work, cutting as close to the old cabinet as possible and polishing the edge. He was precise and very clean. The newly built cabinet around the refrigerator fit perfectly against the old counter where he cut it. The next project was to find a piece of granite that matched my existing Baltic Brown. We had extended some cabinets and needed a longer piece of granite. They came out and removed the old granite in one piece, and replaced it with a longer piece. The installers did a wonderful job and made an almost invisible seam between the 2 pieces of granite. Tiviri did such a fantastic job of picking out a perfect match with our existing granite. The match is so perfect, that I can't tell it is another piece of granite. I highly recommend A1 and would use them again. read more

I walked into their store already knowing what I wanted. Tiviri completed my order and I was initially very impressed because customer service seemed very important to him. But that's pretty much where it ended. Jasmine called me the next week to schedule the template and I asked how long it would take. She had no idea and seemed surprised I would even ask. She told me she guessed 45-1hr. They came out the next day and were done within 15 minutes. This wouldn't have been a big deal but I scheduled someone to come out to my house because I couldn't get away from work for that long - had I known it would be that short, I would have been there myself. Then they forgot to take the papers I had signed and she called me the next day telling me to fax them to her. Who has a fax machine? I talked to Tiviri about this and told him Jasmine was not well informed. He said she was new and he would make it up to me but I've never heard from him since. Overall, the granite is nice but the holes for the faucets are off center. I don't have much experience with this type of service but felt that the overall service was subpar. read more

My new black galaxy counters look beautiful thanks to A1. Responsive through the measuring, ordering, fabrication and installation of the granite, they stayed in touch via email, text and phone. The entire process was only a couple of weeks. They accommodated my desires and my budget. Salvador personally contacted his distributor to research a specific harvest of the particular black Galaxy that I desired and arranged for me to meet at the HQ warehouse to validate the slabs. The staff, to include Brandi, Amy and David and his Team, were phenomenal throughout the process and professional to the highest expectations. They all take pride and precision in their responsibilities. David and Team clearly worked to the standard, not the clock, in their work ethic, completely cleaning the area prior to departure to include polishing the granite. Went to A1 for granite after the contractor I was working with was a no show for our next appointment to work on my fireplace. It was 10 minutes until closing time, but Tiviri did not rush me at all. Throughout the entire process he has been awesome. Not only did he help me with my granite, but he was also able to help me with my fireplace and my new backsplash. We had granite installed in the kitchen as bathrooms in April, and we had some problems with the install because the granite we had chosen kept breaking. It took a lot of time on the phone, but A-1 ended up doing the right thing by getting another slab of granite to replace the defective one they had installed in one of the bathrooms. After they finished, though, it is absolutely beautiful. They worked with my husband on where he wanted the seams to appear, and A1's fabricators were very accommodating in that respect. And the pricing, by far, was the best out there, as when we were pricing the granite at stores in Frisco, we ended up paying what the Frisco locations wanted for a Level 1 Granite, but A1 secured us a Level 3. Hands down the best pricing, and we did A LOT of shopping for this purchase. I would have scored them a 5 stars, except for the issues with the defective product at first. BUT they did make it right with us, which demonstrates that they are definitely a reputable business. read more

I needed a faucet hole enlarged in my existing granite. I tried to contact and schedule the original installer (Empire Countertops - Pilot Point, TX) but was treated rudely by the sales rep, clearly they weren't interested in helping me take care of a problem that they caused in the first place. Extremely argumentative which is a big customer service no-no. I had been without my new faucet over the weekend and it's a serious pain rinsing dishes out in the guest bathroom sink! Anyway, after looking on Yelp and feeling very desperate to find a competent contractor to enlarge this hole without destroying or cracking my granite, I contacted A1 at 4 pm and Sal couldn't have been more helpful. He sent Gabriel to my house around 6 pm that same day and the hole was enlarged perfectly without any damage to the granite in under 5 minutes. Thank you for responding to my request so quickly, I highly recommend this company if you are looking for excellent customer service. I realize that my "project" was tiny in scale compared to what these folks do, so that makes it all the more pleasing to me that they didn't mind that it was a simple inexpensive service call, they still responded quickly and couldn't have been more courteous.
