The younger mechanic verbally quoted an approximate price for a simple front brake pad replacement so with that an appointment was made. When I dropped off the car the older man, I assume the owner, wrote up a work order and told me they would contact me with the cost. Well that call never happened and since the car was promised that day and I hadn't heard from them in the afternoon I called to check on the progress. Low and behold the car was finished and I could come and pick it up. I don't expect to get anything for free but between the initial verbal quote and lack of call back the cost increased by three hundred dollars. Reviewing the work order convinced me never to return. There was a charge for flushing the brake fluid when in fact they didn't.
