I've been going here for a couple of years and it's always been a great experience. Dr. Aziz is patient and lets me ask alllll the questions. The office works with me on getting the most out of my dental insurance, and you can even text the office (and they write back!). But. The real miracle here is that for years I've had a black triangle of open space between some of my teeth after a surgery a few years ago, and it has been driving me CRAZY....for YEARS. I really thought the only option was having my gums grafted (which was terrible the last time I did it). Well, miracle maker Dr. Aziz used composite to fill the space and I can't even believe it! That triangle is gone and you cannot tell AT ALL where the composite ends and my teeth begin. I am grateful beyond words! read more

Everyone here is so nice! From the front desk to the dentists. The dental hygienists are also very meticulous and detailed when cleaning my teeth. The facility is also clean and modern. I commute from SF to go here because of the wonderful service here. I appreciate how Dr. Lim is friendly and also honest. I stopped going to my prior dentist because I felt they were trying to always sell me on some sort of service by always telling me there's something wrong with my teeth. I don't even know where to begin! This dental office is hands down the best in North Cali. I've been to a couple dental offices in California and Diablo Dental is like a Spa for your teeth!!! I got lucky because my appointment was on Patient Appreciate Week...have you ever been to an office that spoils their patients and gives them treats and Starbucks giftcards?! The doctors at this office are amazing and so are the hygienists. They take their time and they do an insanely comprehensive exam with so many different kinds of X-rays and 3D images to make sure you get the best care. They have two screens and the doctor goes over all the pictures they took in detail and their recommendations. Dr. Aziz is incredible and she actually specializes in Invisalign!! Highly recommend this office. You will have fun and actually look forward to going to the dentist! (Side note: on Wednesdays everyone wears Pink Scrubs! This office has such a fun vibe) Ps. I've had to deal with a number of issues with my teeth in the past year, everything from crowns to cavities and invisalign, along with more specialized work, and it's been really great dealing with the entire team here. As someone who is terrified of the dentist and had a horrible experience prior to coming here, I can say with complete confidence that the staff here at Diablo Dental Group will exceed all your needs and take the time to listen to your concerns. I'm a huge baby whenever it comes to getting anything done, especially things that involve my teeth. I had two cavities filled here by Dr. Aziz, the whole process from start to finish was so easy that I don't even know why I was so scared. She and her team really take the time to make sure that first and foremost the patient is comfortable. I was offered a blanket and hand warmers when I sat down. They administered numbing gel before the injection (I didn't even realize the needle was in!) I felt no pain or sensitivity during the procedure and they even applied aquafor to my lips to prevent them from drying. Dr. Aziz is extremely thorough and takes her time and kindly told me to call them if anything doesn't feel right after I leave. Thank you Dr. Aziz and all the staff at Diablo Dental Group for making me feel so comfortable and making my fear of the dentist disappear. If I could offer negative stars I would. I can't believe this just happened, can't believe it could get worse... but it does. Sum up - don't come here they don't care about you, just your money and want to upsell you. This place should have: 1. Been more conscious of their patients. We have lives and bills to pay and your lack of concern for your patients is concerning. That should start before they walk through the door - but seriously making someone wait 20 mins after they drove 2 hours in Bay Area traffic to be there sets a precedent that my business doesn't matter to you. They even joked about it. 2. Don't offer an online option for scheduling if you are going to change it and not honor it. 3. Trying to upsell - instead of helping me get my records. 4. they mock you behind your back. Cant afford the procedures - they mock you in their meetings. Long story: So my experience is going to be different from people who actually live in the area. I'm from out of state, my insurance is in out of state so I had to pay out of pocket. My family has needed me to stay in California to help them move. I had used this dentist before when I needed just a cleaning - so they know I'm from out of state, they know I don't have insurance. It's all in my file. Everything was going well... I confirmed my appointment specified that I needed just a cleaning. And then took off work to drive 2 hours down to danville to the dentist. I was willing to do it because I had a previous good experience with them and they already knew my situation. (Apparently not!) I arrived 10 mins early. They said that I had signed up for the full X-rays and everything. I said I'm not paying for that out of pocket. Upselling someone like that when you know the situation- is callous. Then it took them 20 mins to tell me that I had no other option because they were busy talking about how pregnancy can affect your teeth - when they could have been working with me to get the X-rays from my dentist in my other state. But if they got my xrays from my doctor then they wouldn't be able to charge me for them. I made the appointment on Saturday via their online service if they needed X-rays they should have told me before the appointment. It was really terrible service. As I was leaving I said, I would have appreciated this being discussed before I drove 2 hours down here. The office manager said - "well I didn't realize you were driving that far." That's not the point, the point is that people take time off from their lives to pay you to keep them healthy. And the fact that you don't respect that is an atrocious. They don't care about their patients just the money. Update: it gets worse! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when their nice doctor called me and tried to work it out. I arrived 15 minutes early for the second appointment today after they got my x-rays from my dentist - which they should have done earlier if it was needed. But I digress - they were having a meeting and talking lots of crap about everyone including me and laughing about it. Appearently dentistry is only for the rich. I walked in and canceled my appointment right there. They just laughed. It was really unprofessional. read more

I have been coming to Diablo Dental since I was 5 years old. Dr Koeltl and Dr hong were the previous owners and were fantastic. Dr. K was the best there was. Ever since the new ownership in 2020 I've had nothing but bad experiences. Today was the last straw when I walked in for my dental cleaning and they said they no longer take delta dental. Thanks for the warning? She said she left a voicemail - none. I spoke to someone yesterday on the phone and confirmed I would be coming and not one mention of the change. The level of fake conversation here with the doctors is nauseating every single time. I officially walked out and said I'd find a new dentist. My parents who also have been members for many years have also had bad experiences. Go somewhere else. read more

This office is under new management and you can feel their enthusiasm for what they do when you arrive - they are warm and fun loving group. The doctors here are experienced dental professionals and will make certain to listen and address your needs through compassionate care using the most advanced technology available today. From start to finish I felt at ease and knew I was getting the best treatment available. The things I got done during my appointment are the following: - X-Ray - Cleaning - assessment for night guard Dr. Aziz and Dr. Lim were both involved in my night guard consultation and they made sure to answer my questions and sent me home with a device to measure my oxygen levels and heart rate. They would then use the sensor inputs to make my custom night guard. In my experience, this is probably the only dental office in the Bay Area that just understands patient care all around. Drill Baby Drill ! Ive been debating on writing this review for more than 2 years. I dont like writing negative reivews especially when the effected parties are so clear, and such a small group... I dont want to hurt anyones business or feelings... but I also want to help protect customers.. 2 years ago I saw a Dr here. I had been to the dentist every six months for my entire life, but before coming in I had a gap in being in the care of a denstist of approximately 2 years... Work had been crazy, I was traveling all over. After an intro Xray, I was informed that I had 12 new cavities, and 2 that needed to be fixed. 12, new, cavites... Well being the loyal dentist customer that i am, I thought it obviously must be true , and Ive been a bad person and should have been taking better care of my self, or saw a dentist more frequently. Even then I brush sometimes 3 or 4 times a day, chew sugarless gum, floss frequently. I proceeded to schedule 1 of 5 visits to get fixed up.. Yes, thats right 5 visits of at least an hour were recommended to fix my face. I went through 1 visit where 4 "cavities" were fixed in between my teeth on one side and even with Dental insurance the whole thing still cost me about 400 bucks. Multiply that by 5 visits... a total of $2000 dollars of personal cost to complete the work. Well, I had a wierd feeling about this, and I checked the diagnosis with a Hygenist friend and they thought the result was totally strange, and very unusual.. shortly after seeing this Dr I moved to the east side of Alameda where I have now been seeing a well recommended ( thanks Alameda Peeps Facebook group ! ) Alameda Dentist with great equipement, and similar Xray equipment.. Similar Xray equipment that was not able to find any these cavities inbetween my teeth ( except for the 2 that needed rework ) Here i am now, more than 2 years later with new xrays under my belt and the old X rays transfered from Diablo Dental, no sign of these major cavities.. No pain, no sensitivity, no problems. I dont know what happened here... but I narrowly escaped lots of suffering, and cost... by getting a second opinion. But I did end up getting potentially pointless dental work here.. And when i tried to cancel the remainder of my appointments I was given lots of guilt by the scheduler, and bad attititude. Customers.. if it doesnt sound right ... get a second opinion.. dont let them guilt you into doing something if it doesnt feel right read more
