Terrible customer service and quality of jewelry. I am a loyal (very loyal) customer of one of their competitors and know how I should be treated! Diamond Family needs to learn from them! I buy One piece (1), thank God only one, a diamond bracelet, and it has broken 3 times in the same spot on the link. Now they tell me they won't fix it! Their excuse is when jewelry is repaired it weakens it and can break again. I call BS. Not if it were repaired properly. I spent thousands of dollars on a piece of jewelry and now it can't even be worn. I do not recommend this business. I wanted a Pink Tourmaline in a 2-carat oval. I was sure it would have to be ordered, but amazingly they had the most beautiful Rubelite Pink Tourmaline in the store in a 1-carat diamond setting. I went to The Diamond Family when I was looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. They were very nice to me each time I came in; they listened to me, they gave me something to drink, and they just did a fantastic job overall. They had a good selection of rings and loose diamonds, and they offered to get more, if you found something else that you wanted. Their rings and the loose diamonds were competitively priced, and I really liked some of the extras that went along with buying a ring from them. For example, they give you a bottle of wine or champagne with you and your fiance's name on it if you get an engagement ring there. Also, they have this deal that if it rains [fairly heavily?] on your wedding day, they will refund [most of or all of, depending on cost] the cost of the engagement ring you got from them. I think it is a family run business, which I thought was nice. I did not end up buying from them, but that decision had nothing to do with my experience at that store. While my experience in purchasing jewelry is rather limited, Diamond Family was absolutely phenomenal for purchasing an engagement ring. Gene helped me one on one for an hour and a half picking out various rings / stones to my preferences. But more importantly, he did not once try to pressure me or push me outside my budget or comfort zone of what I was wanting to spend. Not knowing anything about diamonds, Gene walked me through the various characteristics of a diamond as well as what I could expect to find within my price range. The turnaround from purchase to pick up was a day, and when I eventually proposed, the resizing took a single day as well. When I started looking for a ring to propose to my wonderful fiancee, I looked through a lot of jeweler reviews, as I knew there are a lot of shysters out there. I found a ton of awesome reviews for The Diamond Family, so I thought I'd poke my head in and check it out. I am not a jewelry guy at all, but the first thing Mike did was sit me down and showed me diamonds, educated me on the 4 C's, was extremely transparent about how they priced things, and just made me feel at ease! The best part was that I never felt pushed or pressured towards anything particular - it was more like Mike was preparing me for my search, regardless of whether I went with his store or not As it turns out, my fiancee wanted something pretty unique - a rose gold setting with a Morganite as the main stone. Nobody had something quite what I was looking for in stock, but Mike was super helpful in tracking down a setting and some stones that would work. We were up against the clock, as I had a particular date in mind for the special proposal. Mike showed a lot of patience as I arrived at a decision (and I'm not a quick decision-maker!). Anyway, the ring turned out perfect! They even gave me a cool box that lights up the ring inside when you open it! Kaitlin LOVED it and has not stopped getting compliments on it! I can honestly say that this was the best experience I have ever had in a jewelry store when it comes to customer service and quality. I learned so much about the engagement ring I ended up getting- far more than any other place I have been in, including Tiffany and Chanel Fine jewelry (yes, I picked the ring from here over those!). I stopped in today to pick up a certificate I won online. This was my first time coming to this place and as soon as the door opened I was greeted with smiling faces. The customer service was exceptional. I was offered a beverage as I looked around. I'm currently looking for an engagement ring style that I like. I'm very picky but was able to have one awesome guy, that was patient and took his time. He answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable about the different styles of rings and diamonds. Ultimately it is up to my guy on where he would buy my ring but I enjoyed the atmosphere of The Diamond Family. I was able to find a ring that I like. I wouldn't say it was a SUPER WOW ring but it definitely made it on my list (which is a hard list to get on). I personally would love to do business with them in the future. The ring may be over priced according to a family friend who is a jeweler. I'm not really sure. I have zero knowledge of these things. But my review is mainly about the awesome service I received. Every place I had been I had left with the feeling that I was about to be "taken" and that there had to be more for money out there. I felt like someone had my best interest at heart and not only did I feel like I was getting a good deal, I knew I was getting the best deal based on the quality, size, and beauty of the ring we had designed. I know the Diamond business is a big money business, but this store takes all of the anxiety out of the shopping experience and truly makes it what it should be, an enjoyable, once in a lifetime moment. Sitting in their design room I was shown multiple. multiple, Diamonds and walked through what I should be looking for. Not that other companies don't do this, because they certainly do, but Mike was more in depth with me about every aspect of the decision. This personalized service is rare. I left after my first visit without making a decision and unlike every other store I had been in, I didn't receive 15 phone calls asking if I was coming back in or ready to make a purchase. The Diamond Family knows their service and product qualities are unmatched and high pressure sales is a tactic they don't need. Finally, upon returning to The Diamond Family to make my final purchase I felt completely comfortable with my purchase. I was able to get roughly 40% more Diamond for money compared to other local jewelers!!! If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know then nothing will. The setting was beautiful, the Diamond sparkles perfectly, and my experience was wonderful all around. Most importantly, my now fiance absolutely loves everything about the ring! They keep a record of purchases (like my watch) so if there is a problem they can handle it. They have a bench jeweler on site so that most things don't have to be sent away. Truly cannot recommend them highly enough. Family owned which is great plus everyone there really knows what they are talking about which I just don't find to be the case at chains most of the time. They are all so nice as well and really helped us to find the perfect rings for us without ever pressuring us to go over our budget which I found most places do.
