They have been performing since 1985. We came to see Miracle On 34th Street. Having seen the movie almost as many times as years-old my teeth are, I was looking forward to seeing how the story would be developed for the stage. It was a very lovely production with some actors exuding the same persona as their respective movie character. Others confused me slightly because the sex of the character was changed so that I had to get use to a female performing the role played by a male in the movie. But the story line remained true and the entire cast provided an exemplary performance. I would suggest you arrive early. While the parking lots are not far away, if there is anything close to a sellout crowd you will likely have a decent walk to the entrance. The seats are very comfortable but the leg room is a bit tight.

It isn't even checking vaccination status that slows it down, it is inconsiderate people showing up late. The production can't start until they are seated because the actors would be sidelined because of people coming in late. They need to close the doors at 2 and make people wait until intermission, then they'll get the message. No concessions to speak of. No snacks, no beer or wine. I saw water and ginger ale. It will be nice when this fledgling theatre finally gets off the ground. Doubtful to return until then. The play and actors were great. Really enjoyed it. Plus no hearing loop, but I know that comes much later, more established theatres don't have it. Difficult for hearing impaired.

Great experience! Very eclectic, unconventional. Breathtaking mountain views…read more My family rented two vacation houses at the Wilburton for our large extended family of 25 -- I knew very little about the property before we arrived, so we were taken aback by the sprawling turn-of-the-century mansion and spectacular mountain views as we drove up the driveway. We absolutely never expected the art installations across the grounds -- including 18 x 26-foot Egyptian statues! The art and decor were eclectic and unexpected, and I found them very intriguing. It's definitely not your traditional resort, but that's what we liked about it. And the statues made for an amazing night with smores by the fire pit! The Reunion House was spacious -- we particularly enjoyed the living room, as it gave us enough room to comfortably host the other half of our family (about 25 of us) for a casual birthday party. There was plenty of seating with cozy leather sectionals and two large dining tables that seated about 8-10 people each. My daughter loved playing the piano in the living room, and the rooms downstairs with the daybeds were a great place for the kids to hang out and watch TV together. (The galley kitchen is a little small, but we were aware of this ahead of time because it was mentioned on their website.) We were there during a massive heat wave and all the air conditioners worked very well and kept us cool. Our kids loved the volley ball/badminton area steps away from our house. The outdoor pool is beautiful and it was so wonderful to be able to gather there easily with our whole family. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed looking around the mansion as well. There was so much do to in nearby Manchester -- great restaurants and shops, the bookstore is fantastic. We also enjoyed the ropes course and alpine slide at Bromley Mountain. We can't wait to return next year -- we'll be staying at one of the other properties even closer to my extended family's rental house and I'm so excited for its private balconies, jacuzzi tubs, and even more beautiful mountain views!

The grounds are beautiful, serving as an outdoor sculpture garden, perfect for strolling or meditation. The inn is located away from the bustle of Manchester Center, but only a few minutes away from Main Street and the state roads to reach nearby towns. The main house was rented out for the weekend, so we were unable to go inside, but Melissa graciously offered to give us a quick tour when we checked out (contactless, as was the check-in), so we had the opportunity to meet Melissa, as well as the "doggie concierge" Jetson, and sampled some muffins baked on the premises. Top-notch service and hospitality, would love to return in the warmer seasons!

Sixteen years. Same weekend. Same place. Same friends. Super…read moreBowl weekend in Lake George has become a tradition we wouldn't trade for anything. What started as a simple trip turned into something much bigger a weekend that's about reconnecting, laughing, catching up, and picking up right where we left off every year. By the time the Super Bowl rolls around, it feels less like a trip and more like a reunion. The first week of Winter Carnival just makes it better. The ice bar, great food and drinks, the energy around the resort and town it all sets the tone for an unforgettable winter weekend. A huge part of why this works year after year is the people who make the place feel like home. Courtney, the general manager, keeps everything running smoothly and consistently she sets the standard. Tyler and Nicole at the bar are always a big part of the weekend, and Becca and Tonya at the front desk make arrivals feel easy and welcoming every single time. Even in the heart of winter, the place is always spotless thanks to Keisha and her housekeeping crew something we appreciate more than most people realize. Sixteen straight Super Bowl weekends, countless memories, and friendships that keep growing. Some traditions just stick because they're done right. Can't wait to see everyone again at the Holiday Inn Resort Lake George. Already counting down.

We have been coming every winter for the past six years and have made some terrific memories here…read more There is so much I genuinely like about this place. The location is convenient and feels like part of our ritual now. The staff are almost uniformly kind and welcoming to our kids and us. They remember us, greet us cheerfully and make this feel like a home base. The outdoor hot tub was a particularly welcome amenity on this past brutally cold weekend and it helped us warm up a chill that seemed to go straight to our bones after time outside on the lake. It really is one of those few places that feels like a welcome retreat no matter the weather. If there weren't any flaws, this would be a much easier review to write. But there are flaws, and they are things that should have been tended to long ago. The rooms have definitely seen better days. Many of our dresser drawers barely opened. The refrigerator was hardly cool. Furniture had visible damage and some of the electrical outlets were non-functional or battered to the points that plugs fell right out f them. These are not deal breaking in isolation but taken together they left us feeling that the room was tired and poorly maintained. A little thoughtful maintenance or investment here could go a long way and make the rooms feel a lot more comfortable. Another disappointment this year was the breakfast buffet at TRs Restaurant. In years past it was a highlight and something our kids looked forward to to prepare for a cold morning out. This visit, the quality seemed to have declined and the selection felt smaller. The restaurant itself still has a lovely lake view and a cozy fireplace, and the service was still friendly and attentive, but the breakfast spread did not live up to our memories. So I find myself landing on a three star rating. If you take this place for what it can still be, it is a wonderful family resort with great staff and some truly nice amenities. But right now the condition of the rooms and some of the public areas combined with the breakfast experience hold it back from being the much stronger destination I know it can be. Here is hoping that ownership puts some money back into the property so it can recapture its full potential.
