Cooper Crowe has the best happy hour in the cap region. Half-priced drafts and $10 cocktails. You can't beat it especially as a beer person. They have friendly staff and the owners are lovely. Highly recommend. Food is creative and good!

Great spot in downtown Albany for happy hour. Loved their craft cocktails. Bartenders ate friendly and make great drinks. We tried the Cubano sandwich with fingerling potatoes. It was delicious! Loved the sesame seeded hoagie. Craft cocktails were great and only $10 during happy hour 4-6pm. The place has a very nice vibe and airy feeling.

First they are very nice folks here so understand it's not a personality issue but our server checked on us once well after our meals arrived. We both ordered the Pan seared filet medium rare and it came out medium well. Not even sure it was a Filet. It was thin for a filet. The mashed potatoes arrived cold and had some large undercooked not mashed not fully cooked bits in them. I would not dine in again. No apologies for the bad cooked meals. They did take off one of them the bill. Perhaps it was just an off night. We have lots of other choices so we can amicably part ways :-) Hope you do better for others and wish you success.

What a great place (one of the few that were open on a Monday.) good bartenders, friendly server who gave wonderful recommendations, the street corn pasta was amazing, the Rangoon dip was a cool variation but not my fav. And the schnitzel was a little dry and over fried but the construction of the dish was good. The decor and couch area give it a really cool vibe, and the manager or owner was helping out at the bar and attending to guests.

Really enjoy the happy hour at this spot, great drink specials and we usually share some delicious appetizers as well. Plus the added convenience of having a dedicated parking lot downtown is a huge plus! The ambiance is perfect for a date night or friendly cocktails. We usually split a bottle of wine or do some of the happy hour special cocktails plus a couple appetizers to share. We love the calamari and if it's on special you have to order the crab Rangoon dip! The bartenders are always super friendly and helpful!

Came here for dinner and drinks with a couple of friends and enjoyed ourselves! We had some glasses of wine and they had a nice selection. The espresso martini here is also really good. I also had the Duck Banh Mi which was very yummy and there were a lot of cool food choices that I want to come back and try. It was a little pricey but we all enjoyed our meals. The interior was really cool and we were sat quickly as well.

Nice place, feels upscale but still comfortable. Lots of beer choice (LOTS) and cocktails were interesting. All drinks were good, no doubt. Food choices were nice, very different, NOT 'standard bar food'. Nothing greasy to order, which was nice as I look for healthier options. Tried the cauliflower, had Asian type of sauce that was spicy ~ I liked it. Everyone did, so get 2 if you have to share. Lol. I wanted a salad, and it was good but large! I loved the pork belly bao buns, nice sauce on that. I was not sure if this place is supposed to be Asian or Southwest or what, not really a theme. I like that, but makes it harder to explain. Just try it for yourself. Try more than one beer, and for was DELICIOUS

Just down the street from Nipper is the Copper Crow. We found this place by searching for good cocktails in Albany on Yelp and Yelp did not let us down! We loved the cocktails! The Blackberry Sour was great and I love that they use aquafaba (essentially chickpea water) instead of egg whites in the cocktails ( the whole egg white in drinks thing just doesn't sit right with me). I also enjoyed the Rose is a Rose with gin, elderflower and guava nectar- light and refreshing. The atmosphere is also really cool and unique with stained glass, an interesting mix of plants and mid century furniture. I would definitely come back here, mainly for the cocktails and maybe some apps. We enjoyed the steamers and the bread a lot. The sauce was excellent. I had some croquettes which were okay. The green salad was nice and a good portion but not particularly memorable. We also got this eggplant appetizer, but this was the only thing that we did not like. Our group of three could barely eat 1/4 of it. I was surprised our server didn't inquire if there was something wrong because it was pretty obvious we didn't like it. They did seem in a bit of a hurry to turn tables over and we felt a little rushed even though it didn't seem super busy. Parking available in a small lot at the restaurant. Look forward to returning here for drinks again.

First, your Brunch menu and food are excellent, when we finally got our food - after roughly an hour of waiting - I was instantly reminded of why Dove and Deer is great - bold flavors, excellent preparation, gorgeous plates all in a city that desperately needs it. Second, I really felt bad for the 3 people responsible for running an entire restaurant on a Sunday (two waiters and one person in the kitchen). They did their absolute best, were so kind and apologetic, but obviously completely stressed out and frazzled. Tables got up and left after waiting for someone to get back to them - and we almost did too. It's unfair to restaurant staff to put the burden of running an entire place on them. I get if someone called off and you're short staffed 1 or 2 people, but did everyone call off? Besides 3 people? Come on. You have a real opportunity to be a go to brunch destination, my advice is to staff appropriately and give it a real go or risk customers not getting to experience the greatness that is your food - and taking their dollars to someplace far more mediocre. The only reason this isn't a 2 star or 1 star review is because of how hard your staff tried, and how good your food is (when it finally shows up).

The steak was so big, I totally left with a second meal. My husband ordered peppered steak, mashed potatoes and grilled veggies, and that was also a large serving. No biggie, but I was ready and it wasn't busy, with guests at 1 other table. When I finished my meal, I waited again. Not a huge problem but a lot of side work was being done vs providing service. I let server know I was all set and he acknowledged then continued to make drinks for kitchen staff. I had ordered lemonade but after checking, it looked like they were out, so he offered the juice (without explaining). Food was very tasty. Lunch was $37 before tip, for 3 tacos meal, 3 empanadas app, and the fruit drink.

Yes, you can make reservations which is what we did to ensure we would have a table on Friday night. It wasn't necessary but with a larger crowd it is a must if you are expecting to get seated otherwise you may just have to rely on luck. We had a variety of eaters in our group but Savoy was able to accommodate all. Appetizers. Soups, salads, burgers, and even hotdogs most menu items can be customized to be made vegan. This often means omitting the cheese. And here is where I think this should have been a five star experience but they lost me on this... burgers can substitute a Beyond patty for an additional $3, infact, the only burger on the menu made entirely vegan is the "Far Beyond Lark" with fries which was price at $24. Literally the most expensive burger on the menu. It's 2026, the cost of Beyond or Impossible meat is almost the same as beef. Why are vegans still being penalized to pay a higher price when dining out? If anything make the vegan burger the same price as the others and add a $1 substitution fee to make any of the others vegan with vegan cheese, Beyond burger patty, and vegan mayonnaise. Just a thought. All the burgers come on a lovely toasted brioche bun but because it contains egg, the vegan substitute is a sad gluten free bun of dispare and remorse. The cauliflower wings were delicious, I got Nashville Hot but something in them almost gave me Indian food vibes like a curry of some kind? The fries are the absolute best, I love a basket of good hand cut French fries. The guys at the table who ordered their burgers enjoyed them, although they needed extra napkins but that's not always a bad thing. Overall, great experience! I would love to go back. I hope to see in the future a menu change to be more inclusive of customers on a plant-based diet considering their health and not how deep their pockets are.

It felt less like closing time and more like a gentle-but-firm "you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." Meanwhile, the bar area up front was packed and vibey, so shutting down the back while we were the only ones there was... a choice. Shoutout to the music though -- solid playlist, good energy. Side note: the hostess up front had some... interesting energy. Not bad, just a little confused. When we moved a table to make space she said, we cant do that. My friend wasn't done telling her the specifics about her order when she turned to me and asked me for mine. I had to redirect her back to my friend so she could finish taking her order. The food was okay-ish. The noodles I got were hard to chew and the grilled chicken add on ($8 extra btw) was hard and grilled too crispy. We paid our bill in full and left no tip because the service left something to be desired and the attitude of the servers were more focused on other people. As soon as we go downstairs...another patron comes downstairs with OUR bill (that had our signatures on it bc it was a split bill) to harass us about not tipping the waitress. She mentioned that she used to work there and that she was given the bill and followed us downstairs. We were ordering our ride and she sat downstairs to wait for us to leave and said she wasn't leaving until we got our ride. We begin to go back and forth so that she can leave us alone, when one of my friends goes upstairs to find a manager (who wasn't there). A couple of minutes later, one of the bartenders comes downstairs (She has blonde ends and lip filler) and instead of trying to apologize for her friend's rude behavior just looks at her and says "It's fine" and tries to get her to go back upstairs. No apology was given nor did she try to make us feel like she was sorry it happened. I don't know what kind of establishment gives the bill of customers to other patrons, but I did not appreciate being harassed for something that wasn't her business in the first place. Overall, the lack of remorse and apologies has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning.

The building itself is impressive, although maybe not quite as impressive as the castle-looking building next door. Our party of seven settled in at the bar as there otherwise did not seem to be a large enough table for all of us to gather around in either the main lounge area or a small room off to the side. The dark wood paneled walls, large fireplace, assortment of easy chairs, couches, and high desktop table gave off a feeling of warmth and welcoming. The friendly bartender introduced herself (sorry I've forgotten her name) and informed us that spirit-wise, the bar was capable of preparing the standard, traditional drinks like Manhattans, martinis, etc. All beers were poured from cans, and at my request, she recited the names of about six that were available. I don't believe anyone in our party inquired about the wines that were available. The building simply calls out for an explanation of its history. Upon our request, the bartender offered to provide either the "brief" or "full" option. We requested the full history. She was obviously well up to the task. You would be amazed at the variety of things you could learn here. Just to touch on a few key topics that were mentioned, consider Alexander Hamilton's wife, puffed rice, Bab-o cleanser (cue up the jingle), Bishop Gibbons, and an orthopedic surgeon. I don't know what the normal food arrangements are in the Lounge. I'm guessing that our out-of-town hosts requested some snacks for us as a few bowls appeared with mixed nuts, crackers and cheese, fresh grapes, humus, and warm pretzel/croissant rolls, and a plate of prosciutto wrapped cream cheese. Overall, the atmosphere here is simply friendly and inviting. I think it will become an occasional gathering place for our local friends when looking for a place that is quiet and relaxing.

Last time I had ravioli, so I thought there'd be at least one pasta or sandwich option on the menu. I took a look at their lunch menu - tons of variety. I wish they offered some of those options at dinner time. I ended up going with the burrata salad, it was good, but not really a full dinner meal. The food itself is well prepared and nicely presented. The place is looking pretty shabby, usually I really don't care about "aesthetics" and am all for some well loved furniture but the chairs were so worn out that it detracts from the classy vibe they seem to be trying to give off.
