We recently hosted a murder mystery dinner with the actors of The Dinner Detective, and everything went perfectly! This was by far the most fun corporate event I have attended through all my years in business. The actors were phenomenal and thought of every little detail. There was very minimal that was needed from us as the business, which meant that all guests were able to participate and not worry about ensuring the evening went smoothly. I can't divulge the details of the murder, because I would hate to ruin it for anyone. Just know that it wasn't incredibly easy to solve, but ultimately many of us did get the correct culprit. The actors were more than I could have imagined. They did a fantastic job of getting all guests involved, and they made the evening highly entertaining. The gentleman that played the lead detective role was hilarious! I would definitely recommend attending an event at The Dinner Detective, or hiring them for your next event. Their advertisement said they do corporate events, parties, and even weddings! I can't imagine that, but I will say it would be a reception your guests would talk about for years to come! read more

A birthday dinner gift from the hubby. I had fun though I guessed the wrong murderer considering he was right under my nose. But it was still much fun. My husband enjiyed his pork chops, my chicken piccata was rather bland (hence the 4 stars). The rest of the course was great, there was more than plenty of food. i would like to add that - the staff was in compliance with Social Distancing and Mask Wearing at all times as well. read more

oh my gosh, we had so much fun. This was a blast. The actors were amazing. This is a great date night idea. Dinner was good, but that's not the point the mystery was what brought us there. if you're looking for a fun and unique date night, this is perfect. You need to do it. read more

Probably the worst expenditure of time and money ever. Both the meal and performance were underwhelming. For all of the mid/positive reviews it seemed worth the risk, but in the end NOT at all. The story line, if there was one, is never really revealed so we left feeling confused. Had a great time last weekend with family at the show. It was their first night performing this particular murder mystery and I think they did a great job. It was my first time ever seeing this type of show and I would go again. They interacted with the dinner guests and that added to the fun. The food at the hotel was very good. We attended the Valentine's Day performance of the Dinner Detective. The food and service were above average and the portion size was good. Cash bar was pricey. The performance was a bit confusing and hard to understand. The venue is a room about 40 x 50 with a 25 foot ceiling. The echo was garbling the speech. More than once I was asked, "what he say?" The timing for the sparse humor was ruined. There are 6 tables of 10 and there are actors mixed in. We were encouraged to mingle and ask questions as everyone is a suspect. A suspect for a crime that hadn't occurred yet. I really did not understand what I was to get from that part. Once the crime was committed, the 2 detectives came in the questioned some guests/actors. Once they responded you could tell who was who. I suppose if there were some people who had done this before they could have been more "shady" and the actors would not have been so apparent making the outcome less obvious. At the end, there was an envelope to tip the actors, but no mention of tipping the wait staff. I won't go again, but it was something to do. Groupon price $50 each. read more

We had so much fun when we went last weekend for my friend's birthday! It was so much fun to work with each other and make friends at neighboring tables. It was, however, kind of a bummer that only one person was able to win a prize. We would have appreciated a certificate! The sense of satisfaction solving the mystery was awesome. read more
