Service absolutely sucks there. Gone plenty of times and never had an issue, however tonight brought my masculine-looking gay friend and she immediately got kicked out for being "too drunk". We had just walked in. Out of everyone in our group, there were definitely others who were actually intoxicated. If they felt that way why didn't they deny her entry? She was our DD. Better security is definitely needed. On the way out, I mentioned to security they need breathalyzers if they're going to kick out people for being "too drunk" when they're full sober. Security told me I was disrespecting them and I could be blacklisted. All in all, this place is extremely homophobic and had no attention to detail. Very disappointing experience. My boyfriend paid around a $35 cover charge for four of us, and our group of about 10 people entered without any issues. After entering, I went directly to the restroom. Within minutes of coming out, security approached me and told me I needed to leave. I was given no clear explanation and security became confrontational. I was initially told I appeared intoxicated, despite having just entered the venue and not ordering a single drink there. When I politely asked for clarification, the only explanation I received was that I had put my hands up while speaking. My boyfriend then attempted to ask for a receipt and a better explanation of what happened. During that interaction, he was pushed by a member of the security staff and was called inappropriate names. Several members of our larger group chose to leave after witnessing the situation. The most frustrating part is that we were allowed to enter, our money was accepted, and then I was removed almost immediately with little to no explanation after being cleared by the first bouncer and the woman who took our payment. Venues have the right to refuse service, but guests deserve to be treated with respect and given a clear reason for being removed. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE for the Easton Corbin concert. I haven't been to DB in almost a year due to how poorly the managers and bouncers treat people, especially women. I've been going to this bar for 11 years and used to love it, now, the energy there is dark and not what it used to be. This place is extremely MISOGYNISTIC and SEXIST. Myself and multiple women kindly asked the managers if they could open up the male restrooms to even out the lines (they have does this numerous times in the past) and they replied with "that's not my problem." Both women's restroom spots had lines of about 20+ women urgently needing the restroom, meanwhile, neither of the men's restrooms had a line. It ruined the concert experience and made many women feel ignored, not seen and on the edge as we had to wait at least 30 minutes to use the bathroom and miss the concert. Wish I could give zero stars to this establishment. This reminded me exactly why I don't come here. The vibe is dark, negative and tense. This place is a great place to go to for a country dancing and a good bar to go to for food and drinks. Price for drinks were good and I really like that they have a water station for free water all night. Didn't try the food but, it seemed pretty good. Last time I was here was back in 2019, they didn't have the other half of the bar then, so it got pretty crowded, and now with the other half of the bar and food section it's still crowded. It gets crowded after 10:00pm. Plus the PBR was in town which made it more crowded. Not sure what the crowd limit is for them but, I'm sure they were either close or exceeded it. I left at about 11:30 because it was too much. Band last night was ok, the music was louder than the singer so he was hard to hear. Floor for dancing was fine, as long as it wasn't too crowded. Had some good dancers to ask me to dance with which made the night really nice & fun. There were a good amount of security "bouncer's" there and for being a female I felt pretty safe. Didn't see any issues with any out of control people and if there was they did a good job handling it. There is only 2 places for the bathrooms. Near the front entrance to the East and in the food area in the far corner. The line was a little long but ok. I did notice for that one, they have female bouncers keeping the line moving as there is only 3 stalls with sinks in them. No sharing stalls ladies. As being one of the only country bars in Albuquerque, I'll go back for some more good times and dancing. read more

I absolutely love the atmosphere at this bar, the music, the dancing, and the community is amazing. It's such a fun and welcoming spot for people who enjoy country dancing. One thing I think could make it even better, though, is finding a way to include those who are 18-20 years old. A lot of younger people aren't just interested in drinking. They just want a safe, fun place to dance. For example, my daughter goes to a young adult group where they learn to line dance and sometimes go to Dirty Bourbon or I'd even love to invite my daughter, who is under 21! She wouldn't be there for alcohol, only to line dance and enjoy the music. A simple wristband system (or something similar) could make this possible, allowing staff to easily distinguish who can and can't drink while still letting everyone share the experience. Not only would this open the doors to more people, but it would also build a sense of community by encouraging families, friends, and younger dancers to come together. It would make your venue stand out as a truly inclusive place for country dancing and I know there are so many in that 18-20 age group who would be grateful for the chance to come out and enjoy it. (Without there fake IDs) You've created such an amazing space already. Expanding it to allow younger guests in a safe, responsible way would make it even more special. read more

It really is "who you know" one bartender whom I didn't not get his name, deserves all the praise I can give! I tipped very well all night, for his AMAZING Service. He had his crowed pleased and entertained. I wish I had gotten his name. Far left bar (facing the stage, stage right) 10/10 service. I wish I could say the same for my whole experience. Far right side of bar (facing the stage right)... Bartender name Eric. Gestured to the man behind me in line for a drink asked what his order was and poored him drink.. okay cool skip me in line no big..... when the man behind me, POORED his drink on me purposefully ... as if Directed by ERIC .. Bartender. People are kicked out for far less. That is THE WORST experience I have had in a bar, especially on a birthday, Reserving a VIP table planning for a positive experience received less than .Hopefully the "Women Owned and Managed Establishment" would look into this... ID's checked, no fee at this time to get in. Picked a table near the floor got our drinks then hit the dance floor. For hour & half there were only about 3-10 couples dancing. Okay, so it's a honky tonk.... It's a place to dance and have fun! The bars are super packed, so getting a drink can be challenging, but it's really not that big of a deal! Masks have to be worn from the front door to the bar or a table, then it's pretty much wide open. If you want a table, get there early, they fill up quick! Bottom line up front- we had a blast!! Security was on point, staff was friendly and the band was really good! We are before we went to the dance hall for the birthday party. There's a new eatery right next door but still attached to the hall. The food was very good! It's bar food but it's good bar food! Plenty of TVs to watch sports and so on. The bouncers/security are extremely rude and overly aggressive! I am from Texas and know what a good country dance hall is like, so let me tell you this place is NOT! My friends and I went to the bar after dancing and asked for 3 waters and a couple mixed shots. The bartender immediately gave my friend a dirty look and made a comment about the purple gatorade shots we ordered (which i have never had an issue ordering at any other establishment). She then walked away with a dirty look and without making our drinks. Next thing we know a female bouncer said she needed my friend who ordered to talk outside. Once outside the bouncer said she was kicked out! She was in no way too intoxicated and when she asked for an explanation the bouncers were extremely aggressive and told her there was no explanation needed. Upon reading other reviews I can see that this is a common thing for the staff to kick people out for reasons ranging from Ordering a drink thats too complicated, Not tipping enough, being disabled, or even just trying to learn a new line dance. Confusing. Ate at The Bourbon House which is part of The Dirty Bourbon Dance Hall and Saloon, only separated by a curtain. You can't 'Yelp' The Bourbon House specifically. They don't tell you up front that there is a $3.00 service charge if you pay with a card. If your server is being switched, you have to pay for your food and drinks and THEN have your card charged again for the rest of your stay. Both of those things are bullshit. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich...basic frozen chicken breast from Nobel Sysco. Just ok. Decent pretzel bun. Came with what they call shoestring fries. Wrong. They are somewhat thin fries, but not shoestring. There weren't very many either. Don't be cheap! I'm paying a lot for this meal, heap some fries on there. The toppings were on the side. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion. The lettuce was slimy, surprised they put it on the plate. The vibe is fun, spacious, good drinks and music...it's questionable if I ever go back. I'm torn what to write about this... one of the few places in the 505 to dance. Located in a good neighborhood, but sometimes alcohol doesn't mix in well (i.e. the stabbing that happened behind the DB several years ago and where I've seen several people escorted out by the Bourbon boys). Sometimes the live bands aren't as good as the soundtracks and usually much of the same crowd that comes every weekend. Can get crazy crowded on Ladies' Night and New Year's, but is a good place to hold private events (yes, they do sometimes allow outside food in). Drink specials are good though and the costumes are really unique and fit the theme. Passing through Albuquerque and stopped to check out Saul Goodman's office which is about to be a Bourbon haven. Had to have a drink because I'd been driving cross country for 10 hours or so. This bar feels like it was pulled out of SoCal, which is a compliment. Great vibe. Plenty of dance floor space and the live music is always a plus. The bartenders are attentive and good at their craft. I appreciate how well-staffed the bars were because in So Cal they tend to be understaffed. But major props go to Melicia the bartender. Friendly and down-to-earth chatty. Was the reason I stayed an extra 3 hours before continuing my road trip. Kiersten also makes a great old fashioned (they need luxardo cherries though). If she had a signature drink this would be it. I gave 5 stars but really it's about 4.5 only because I'd like to see more tequilas and bourbons. That should be solved when the expansion is done. We showed up early and got out early as the place was getting overrun by thickk moms and skinny cowboys looking to line dance. If there was a cover, we were too early to pay, and we stayed bellied up to the back bar without a view of the dance floor. As a disabled Army Veteran, I have a full service dog who provides me the opportunity to feel safer and more confident in social situations. The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) covers ALL establishments where the public is allowed, and I do not have problems with entry anywhere. Dirty Bourbon does not respect the law, even after I offered to educate the bouncer at the door. After he continued to senselessly defend himself and refuse me entry, feigning ignorance as an excuse for his repugnant treatment, I asked to speak to the manager. At this point, instead of asking me what was wrong and possibly abating the situation, the manager decided to defend his door man & "can refuse service to anyone," so he told me to leave. We tried Bourbon House, the restaurant attached to Dirty Bourbon. Don't do it!!! I thought we would be able to order and dance and they would bring our food to us. That's not how it works. You have order and ask for it to go. We were told our food would be out fast but that didn't happen. We waited for 30 minutes for our food (we ordered appetizers, not pizza) and then they gave it to us in a bag even though we were eating it in the bar that's attached to the restaurant.
