    Thursday night Karaoke.

Wow, Shay, the server/bartender was very attentive. She paid close attention to my needs and I never had to ask about anything. It's almost like she has generations of experience of serving degenerates, which I really appreciate. 10/10 would recommend.

I would not call this a dive bar. It's more of an affordable, neighborhood bar. Prices are good service excellent. Welcoming. Like I t.

The soup was tasty, and the sandwich was pretty good- a little too much turkey for my taste. My husband had the mushroom peppercorn steak. It was cooked well, and he enjoyed the peppercorn sauce. One person had the steak salad. She said it was good, not great. The salad was served with large leaves of lettuce (she had to cut them up) and steak. She mentioned that she wished there was a little more to the salad- it was just the lettuce and steak. The last person in our party had the green chile chicken pasta. She liked it. Overall, our experience was good. I would say Tula's is fair. It's nothing to write home about, but it wasn't bad.

They do have a very nice patio but I was eating inside in lieu of out in the 95 degree heat and flies. I mentioned it to my very sweet server and she got me a battery fan to put on my table to shoo flies! (See pic) I ordered their wonderful Reuben w Caesar side and ate it with the fan shooing the flies while I ate inside. Seriously!! I did let her know the homemade croutons were stale and tough and not very edible. Service, food and drinks here are always very good and polite. I'll be back but not when the outside summer flies are taking over.

I was immediately impressed by the staff. you couldn't ask for better care and warmth. we participated in any activities that were offered and made new and lasting friendships along the way. thru those years there were difficult times. I guess the most difficult was the pandemic when we were limited to movement within the building but you would be amazed attn lengths the staff went to to keep us happy. delicious meals were delivered to our door ( we ordered from our menu's ). Games were played at each door if you wanted to participate and there were fun prizes. The weekly wine socials were brought to your door. Meanwhile, all the necessary health precautions were taken. The apartments were thoroughly cleaned weekly. When necessary, immunization clinics were brought to each resident and if you wanted to participate, they made it easy. Eventually that passed and life got back to normal but it's hard not to recognize the professional handling of that difficult time. The building was renovated and mad lovely for us. If anything needed to be updated, it was life moved along smoothly and I must admit, to my surprise. There were many staff changes but amazingly, the staff remained warm and caring. Deep down, I can forget that they are dealing with many different personalities and sometimes elderly people can be a tad grumpy. The loving staff simply overlooks the bad days. Food is always an issue but the menu is large with choices for everyone. If that isn't enough, there's a really great Bistro you don't want to mis. The activities are numerous and year round. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and outings take place twice a week. All you have to do is signup. I can't close this without mentioning that my husband passed away in 2022. it was a difficult time made easier by the Fairwinds staff and especially the management. Being100% deaf and disabled, my family wanted me to move to assisted living despite my reluctance. Doralei warmly helped me make that decision to move and very graciously helped me find a comfortable apartment. The move was smooth and the golden treatment given by the health and Wellness staff has been perfect so I have to admit that it was the proper move. When I need appointments, the transportation service is wonderful and I can't forget to mention the wonderful drivers. Do you see how fortunate I furl that all those years ago, we made the decision to move here it was the perfect one. You can't go wrong.

Extremely disappointing experience at Sixty Six Acres…read more We walked in and were seated immediately on the patio. I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.

The portion of beets was minimal, cut into very small pieces, and lacked any noticeable seasoning or marinade. The dish was dominated by large, bitter arugula leaves rather than a balanced mix, with very little cheese and no nuts as expected. The overall flavor was flat, with an odd emphasis on dried fruit that didn't help the dish. The quinoa salad was similarly unbalanced, consisting mostly of plain, unseasoned quinoa with very little else. Adding chicken helped slightly, and it was at least moist, but it had very little flavor. Table service in the bar area appeared stretched thin. We had to flag down our server to clear the table and request the check. After receiving the bill, we waited about 15 minutes before ultimately getting up to find her. The ambiance was very nice, which brings this to 2 stars. If not for that and the clean bathrooms, this would have been a 1-star experience.

The ambiance was exquisite despite the somewhat loud noise level. The decor and the service were both top notch. Our server Sergio went above and beyond the call of duty. And then there is the food. The potsticker appetizer was pleasing to both the eye and palate. I had the meatloaf entree which was delicious. And my husband loved the beef bourguignon. And the crème brûlée we had for dessert was delightfully creamy underneath a beautiful gold crust. I once at at the bar, and behind me at the bar top tables, two of them sat unbussed for 30 minutes. It's pretty gross, not to mention, a loss of potential revenue not to have those cleared, set and seated. The bar, in particular is understaffed, and it needs to have a permanent person working beside serving and another clearing just to keep up with the number of diners who eat there -especially on the weekends. Recently, we were seated in the back and it was obvious that no one thought to tell the servers they'd opened up the tables and someone was there. No one even looked at us, offered to bring us water, and instead they avoided looking at us. I don't understand how such a popular restaurant can be so unorganized. If they don't have enough staff, then don't seat people everywhere.

This charming little bistro near the south end of Old Town is elegant, welcoming, and truly a hidden gem. Having convenient on-site parking was a nice bonus, and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Our server, Christopher, made the evening even more memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He also took the time to recommend several local restaurants and places to visit, which we really appreciated. We started with the mussels, and they were outstanding--fresh, tender, and served in a rich, spicy butter broth with perfectly toasted crusty bread for dipping. My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and after trying a bite, I can understand why he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables were the perfect complement, and the fresh salad with homemade dressing was a great start to the meal. To top off the evening, the staff surprised me with a three-flavor sherbet dessert complete with a birthday candle and a thoughtful personalized birthday card. It was such a sweet touch that made me feel truly celebrated. We couldn't leave without trying the German chocolate cake, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner. Everything from the food to the service exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu the next time we're in town.
