Staff is very flustered even on calm days, food came back burnt twice and they just said it was the best they could do, and on top of that the food made my girlfriend puke and instead of understanding how human anatomy works they just decided to ban her from the bar. The customers here seem cool but other than that I'd say I don't know why someone would subjugate themselves to this type of torment of their own accord. Find a different place to unwind because this place will stress you out... Don't say I didn't warn you. I left two stars because someone bought my drink. read more

I like this place for entertainment for sure. The food has always been good and for as busy as it is, the service is really good as well. I understand why they do it, but I'd like to get my Long Island iced tea in a real glass instead of a very small plastic cup. My friends and myself have had many a good night here. This quaint little restaurant bar situated in view Gull Lake comes with great service, good food, nice view, and more! Was here to see the infamous HairMania band, who does not disappoint. Small stage for bands, so they had to squeeze together, but they made the best of it and rocked on. Drinks were cold, food was good, and the waitress very attentive to our needs. Stopped here on a Friday night during a golf weekend. First, food was excellent. Had their prime rib and it was quite tasty. Then they had live music starting at 8pm. Just a fun atmosphere, mix of local lakers and travelers and reasonably priced for a prime summer weekend. One of the highlights of the trip. read more

Let me tell you, paying $5 cover on Friday night here is well worth the price of admission. Personally, I'm very fond of their wings, onion rings and the olive burger. First time I had it I knew this was my kind of place. The dance floor gets pretty lit after dark, the tunes are funky and the crowd knows how to get down and groove. Everyone is welcome at the dock, and the staff is extremely friendly and prompt with the service. Whenever I'm with the boys playing 74 holes on a Gull Lake weekend, you'll usually find me having a blast here once or twice. read more

Ok so the atmosphere was nice, all decorated for Christmas and has a good size dance floor. Small bar but there were a good amount of tables for dine in. The service sucked, I was grabbing a to-go order and sat at the bar to wait, was told it should only be about 10-15mins (I wasn't in a hurry so that was fine). I only needed a minute to look over menu and when I was ready to order I had to wait til she was finished going from one person to the next chatting. I ordered sweet chili boneless wings 5/10. The flavor was good but the chicken looked like I could have bought from Walmart and threw sauce on myself.. if I was drunk like half the people there, they probably wouldn't have been too bad. The Dock's Sunday Bloody Mary Bar is top notch! It is an entire meal. Mine included the following: pulled pork sandwich, chicken wing, cream cheese stuffed jalapeno, Salami, buffalo mozzarella, sausage, Pickle, two pieces of bacon, marinated mushroom, zucchini, squash, peperjack cheese, Celery, and topped with a mini chocolate doughnut. We had 8 in our party 4 were kids. They provided coloring mats and crayons for the kids. The kids meals were reasonable and the kids seemed to enjoy them. read more

Made a reservation and got here and they said they couldn't hold a reservation. So this is after waiting 15 minutes and having to find someone about a table. Then the food was complete crap. Pathetic service, worse food and the most unfriendly staff I have ever encountered. Our waitress was nice and tried hard. But the people running the sh*t show acted like we were wrong for even trying to make a reservation. Turns out that accepted at least 3 other reservations and those people had the same crap response. read more

The Dock is alright if you're looking for bar food. The food isn't bad. I think they use more frozen items than fresh. They used to have a great salad bar, before COVID. Hopefully they bring that back. They do have a nice outdoor seating area that's shaded and grassy and also have an option to sit and see Gull Lake. Their beer and cocktail selection is pretty good. They have a pretty crazy Bloody Mary on the weekends that people tend to go nuts over! During the summer they host a bike night which is usually a good time. read more

I didn't think the Sunday Bloody Mary Bar could get any better but dang!!! They stepped it up and brought their A-Game. Added a couple delicious delicatessens to the top of the Bloody and even a tiny chocolate donut for a sweet ending. Way to go Dock. This is a bikers paradise. Nice country ride to get there and if you get there before noon you will probably score a prized seat on the deck overlooking Gull Lake. The Bartenders are fun and have a great attitude and the servers love their job and give A+ service. Check it out!!! read more

Probably the worst meal I've ever had. The fries literally came to the table cold. Greasy and limp. It appears that they stretch the coleslaw by adding milk as it is thin and runny. The Alfredo sauce was thin and absolutely tasteless. Went to add salt only to discover they obviously make a habit of wiping of the food of the shakers with a wet rag, dripping water into the salt as it was one massive clump inside. The wait staff wasn't rude necessarily, but they didn't look enthusiastic or even particularly happy. Not a smile to be seen. Drive a long way across the county to eat here. Not impressed. Won't be back. And don't give me staffing issues. Bad service is bad service. read more

The only thing on the menu worth ordering is the Rueben, but the potatoes that come with it will be inedible, it doesn't matter which ones you order. We were unlucky enough to hit it on live music night. The band was tone deaf, all grey haired and very stoned. The staff aren't particularly friendly either, they seemed stressed out, cranky and run ragged, like the place is very poorly managed. We wanted to give it another try as we have been 3+. So convenient after golfing. This place has a nice location and really gets some fun local bands in for nights. The Sunday Bloody Mary bar is pretty good. The food is OK bar food. A lot of fried stuff, etc. Nothing amazing. What gets me every time is the cleanliness. The tables never seem to be cleaned off and we even had to wipe down the chairs. And yes, there is a certain smell to it that is not good, as previous people have written about. This, while the wait staff is just around the bar chatting, braiding each other's hair (no, seriously). We always feel like we are an inconvenience to any of the staff we have had there. I think, as much as we want to support local, unless you just want some drinks and a good band, I am done trying it. read more

I enjoy coming here for dinner after fishing out on the lake. Tried many different things off the menu, but my favorite by far is the burger with teriyaki and pineapple. It's amazing! Always love the going to the dock it's a convenient location. Good food and drinks and a really big dance floor. The service is usually hit or miss but the food is usually decent so that makes up for it. The last time I was there they started carding at the door at 7pm but let several families come in with children. I don't really care, I would just like to point out how odd that is. That has happened several times I have been there. It just seems very inconsistent whether they ask for your ID or not at the door and when they do it's at random. Ordered the steak dinner after asking for the perch and they did not have any, included with this was the veggie of the day and your choice of potato. Veggie of the day was green beans and I requested french fries for my potato. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is my steak was cooked to the correct temperature, beyond that is absolute, avoidable failure in the kitchen. Fries are some of the worst I've ever had, from anywhere, and tasted like they were fried an hour before I arrived, then they dunked back into oil to reheat. The green beans were cooked in what I can only surmise is an uncleaned pan because they tasted heavily of carroway seeds. If that wasn't bad enough both the beans and steak were purchased to cut cost.The green beans were thin and tough, the steak though cooked medium, was also tough and chewy. Overall this place charges premium prices for sub par food. Would never recommend to anybody. read more

Wow. I can't believe the 5 star reviews. There was nothing about this meal that warranted anything close to that. I wouldn't normally be so picky - it's bar food after all. But, when all you really have going is the food, it ought to be good. Very good. The fact is: ambiance is non-existent, the service average and even the view of Gull Lake is pretty bad. So, their claim to fame ought to be good food. NOT. I ordered a rare cheeseburger with well done (crispy) fries. Said it both ways 'well done and extra crispy. What came out after a pretty long wait in an empty restaurant was a well done cheeseburger and undercooked fries. My dining partner hates it when I complain so in deference to him, I shut my mouth and said nothing. The icing on the cake was the burger itself, not tasty and fresh like other reviewers stated but full of grizzle and no flavor. Will not be going back. It has been awhile since I had been here and when I found that the KVBA was going to have a fund raiser I talked my friends into going Sunday. We arrived soon after the KVBA websight said the doors open to find that they had opened an hour earlier and the place was packed with customers there for lunch. Clearly they had not paid for the upcoming entertainment as they were not wearing admission bands. To her credit the overwhelmed hostess was doing her best to get people who paid for the entertainment seated (about 15 min for us). They appeared to be understaffed and at times confused. We received somebody else food order first time around. This was when we noticed some people who entered and seated after us getting orders taken and they were not wearing the wrist bands for entry. Many people that were there before the ticket sales stayed well into the first set and longer of the music. When our order came it was incomplete servings, one was undercooked despite being requested well done. We had to ask several times for condiments and the sandwich got cold waiting for one of them. As the afternoon went on I noticed that the people that had wristbands on were there for the music and food. The people who came in and did not have bands on and were more intent on a conversation level that at times made it difficult to appreciate the music. To bad, because Out of Favor Boys and Big Trouble are two of the top area blues bands. All of this should have turned out better both parties have been at this long enough to have done better. We used to go quite a bit since we live close. Service and food started going downhill. Last Wednesday after noon we went for a late lunch. We ended up sitting ourselves and the waitress said that was fine. She asked for our drinks then someone else brought out the wrong drinks. After she brought use the correct drinks she asked if we knew what we wanted. We had no menus. Got menus and never saw anyone again. It was 20mins or more and we were the only table. I left money for the drinks and we left. No one said a word. That was the exclamation to never go back. read more

Stop there on Friday with some guests from out of town. It's a place I frequent so I was excited to show them. After waiting for our waitress for 15 minutes she informs us that she sorry she's late but there's a drug overdose in the parking lot. I thought that was strange information to give us. At that point we were able to place our drink order and she brought the drinks within a few minutes. Said she would be right back. Roughly 20 to 25 she returned again apologizing and took her food order. She said she would have it right out. About a half hour later we received our food. Which was good. We asked for our bills when she brought the food which she brought in a few minutes. When she took them inside she never returned. It was roughly 15 to 20 minutes so we decided to go inside and pay our bill. She said she needed wait for the manager to run my card. So we had about two hours and do a quick lunch. read more

Our burgers were very bland and not at all appetizing. Fries were very tough and not crunchy at all, and once again under seasoned. Food is very unappetizing and the atmosphere is depressing. Our appetizers came out at the same time as our meal. My brother in law asked for water three times before he actually got it. The burger was overcooked.
