I get it home and set it up tonight, and it's definitely been used, the wire bars are sticky with what I'm assuming is urine, and the bottom tray is clearly stained with urine and maybe bleach? Needless to say, I won't be putting my dog In there, and now I've got to find a way to return something I can barely lift.

I apologize to her and told her I only had my dog for 3 months. She told me that I should have my dog on a collar. By the way she was the one who recommended the halter a week ago. I then told her my vet told us a collar is not good for dogs. She then told me my vet is wrong. So I go up to the counter to cash out. There was a woman in the store with 3 dogs that was unleashed. My dog was leashed and I had the leash wrapped around my hand.These 3 dogs cornered my dog and started to snap at my dog. I scooped up my dog. While I was cashing out I heard the same woman tell the customer with the 3 unleashed dogs say to her. " It is not your fault, she only has her dog for 3 months. I said in a loud voice that it was not my dog's fault he was leashed and cornered. This woman seems to think I was at fault. I have always come to your store for over 15 years. We had a Yorkie that passed away at the beginning of the year. I am so upset with this woman. I submitted the initial application online and then called to schedule an appointment to meet her since they didn't take drop ins due to COVID. I got to see her that night, submit the final application, and pay the adoption fee. One week later and we picked her up and took her home with us. I believe that sometimes they allow you to take the pet right away, but we had to wait a week because she had just been spayed. She had a clean bill of health from our vet after taking her home. The SPCA even allowed us to come back to finish the distemper series that they had started, for no additional charge. Here are some pictures of her at the shelter when we met her, and they say we picked her up!

I was there today and it wasn't busy, but the shipment was being unloaded. I pulled my ticket but no one was calling out numbers. I finally asked a woman for help but she said "I don't work here but I'll let them know". At that point I just left. I've been ignored there for 25 years going back to the old Latham location. One positive experience I had was a few years ago. They had species plant I wanted but there was only a couple left. The salesman informed me that they had some that were yet to be unpacked in the back room. Long story short he was reprimanded for selling plants that weren't yet in the display case (in front of me while I was checking out). That ruined the experience and made me feel I did something wrong. So I guess I never had a positive experience, I just witnessed someone going above and beyond being treated like trash. It's sad to say, but I'm actually happier walking in and not seeing anything I want to buy. The stressful part is seeing something I want and having to jump through hoops to get someone's attention and get service. As a marine biologist, during a recent…read morevisit my husband and I were disappointed to see Eddie's Aquarium Centre housing incompatible species together -- for example, Flagtail Porthole Catfish (Dianema urostriatum), Kribensis Cichlids (Pelvicachromis pulcher), Butterfly Plecos (Dekeyseria sp.), and Congo Tetras (Phenacogrammus interruptus) in the same tank. These fish require different water parameters and have very different temperaments, which creates stress and weakens their immune systems. Stressed fish are far more likely to develop ich (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, or "white spot disease"), and once one fish is infected, the entire tank is at risk. Unfortunately, stores that mix species like this often deny responsibility and may mislead customers to avoid refunds or replacements. For anyone buying fish from any store that displays mixed species, I strongly recommend quarantining and proactively treating for potential bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections before adding them to your main aquarium. This precaution protects both your tank and your fish.
