I had the most horrible experience at The Dog Club on our first visit even though my dog passed their "evaluation" and I am told "she was lovely" A) a professional dog facility is not managed by children. there was no adult in charge when I dropped off my dog nor when I picked her up. B) This is where FREE doggy daycare is given away by writing positive reviews and showing it to staff. Reminded me of those Amazon sellers! You can imagine how they reacted when I told them I intend to write a negative review. C) Right upon arrival, even though I had made the reservation & called 3x the day before to ensure my dog's first-day visit is all set, the "manager" was waiting for me at the entrance and refused my dog as soon as we walked in. She later claimed that she "mixed up my dog with another dog as there are many dogs coming there with the same name". Of course, my dog passed the evaluation and "she was lovely". But the dog club failed my evaluation! I write this because my experience was unacceptable and this place is not safe for dogs (the length of the contract they ask you to sign is another proof). I let the staff know when picking up my dog that I want to speak to the owner. Of course, no adult was available then, I felt bad complaining to young staff innocently working hard. D) A dog daycare is entitled to refuse any dog, but why would you wait till customer arrives at the facility to deliver that news even if you "mixed up the dogs"? Couldn't you call before they arrive to address your questions? how do you operate a dog facility if you mix up dogs? A lady called Mike finally returned my request to "talk to an adult" and even though she did not know details, she started by yelling at me and and labeling my character, because I had said I write a negative review and I am not coming back. STAY AWAY! My 7 month old puppy needed stitches after spending the day here! The staff was apparently unaware of the injury and did not notify us whatsoever. We noticed that something was wrong with him when we went to pick him up. He was lethargic and would not jump into the car like he normally does. We went to pick him up and he screamed out in pain. Once we got him home, we noticed that he had a huge gouge in his leg and dried blood on his ears. How does the staff not notice this? I have contacted the management but apparently it has fallen on deaf ears. I waited a week and a half to give them an opportunity to try to make things right (pay the $600 vet bill). I was told that the owner would be in contact with me but I have yet to hear anything. If you're looking for a safe place to leave your pet during the day, I'd keep looking. read more

We use the dog club for daily daycare as well as long term boarding. From the manager Jay down to the staff, they care for all the dogs. Our Pearl is a high energy GSP and she is excited when she sees the blue building. She is happy when I pick her up and zonks out after she gets home. Only took my boy here 4 times. Each time he came home and acted weird, not eating, lethargic, smelled like urine... but today was the final straw... picked him up and the staff did not inform me he had broke in hives. Maybe from a cleaning product or rolling in poorly cleaned areas? Whatever the case it's not acceptable. Friendly staff but awful care... you also will not get a tour of facility nor will they offer it to you... it has to be a "request" you won't get a refund for the days you paid in advance... they can keep the 6 days, I won't go back for the remainder. read more

Please do not board your dog here. The old owners cared the new owner is only on it for money. I brought 2 dogs to board one was 15 years old and a slow walker due to age. Without telling me up until the day before pickup they decided keep both dogs crated and did not allow them on the floor to play. When questioned the owner said the dog was too stressed and old. Mind you my dog has boarded all his life. When i retrieved him for pickup he could not walk or stand on his legs They actually carried him out but said nothing to me till I said put him down. He collapsed as he was kept in the cage and not walked for a week. I paid for playtime and walking.. I finally got him to slowly walk to the car and took him straight to the vet. He was covered in urine and feces they attempted to hide it by doing a quick wash.he smelled so bad. He had a sore on his tail and a sore on his leg. Most likely from being in a small Cage.. They also kept my 7 pound Maltese in the cage deceiding without calling me that she wanted to be with my other dog. I was paying for day care and boarding not a crate. Now to the owner who had an expression of not caring and stated I brought the dog in this way not walking Not only was she not there but I would have to be insane to do that. She did not answer why they accepted him if he was like that. This is a well cared for dog. The owner raised her voice and attempted to yell at me. She was so cold and uncaring. If you look at other reviews by past employees you will see what really goes on there.I am enclosing pictures of his dirty tail and bottom and sores. My dog used to go here, but after picking him up the other day, I will never step foot in this place again. He was covered in new and old urine, was shivering, and in a miserable state. We were shocked that they allowed him to be in this condition - completely abusive to do to a senior dog - and it tells me that they did not care for him at all during his stay. We brought him immediately to the groomer (he had an appointment) and they were also shocked at his state. I'm considering a complaint to the BBB because of how bad this was and I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I am so dissatisfied with this daycare facility and some of its staff. I say "some" because the young ladies that work there really seem to love the puppies and dogs. I'm just not sure who is in charge of the dog's care when they are there. We started with D'La Pooch years ago when they were in Hooksett (which is now The Dog Cub in Manchester). Things have really deteriorated over the past few years and since the current owners have taken over there. I brought my dog for boarding last month, just for one night, and when I picked her up the next day, she smelled so bad and her bed was returned to me soaked with urine. This is unacceptable and I won't be bringing her back. The past couple of times she boarded there, she did have a "stinky" smell to her, and we attributed it to being out in the yard on the fake turf where all the dogs play, urinate, and deficate. They really should consider real grass for the yard, or at least something that doesn't hold the odors like the fake turf does. She would always need a bath as soon as we got her home, but this last time we picked her up she smelled so bad, we had to ride home with the windows open and could still barely stand the odor. I will not be boarding my dog here again. Ever. read more

What a great place! My dog went for her first day and had a wonderful time. How do I know? She came home and flopped down on her bed and was out like a light! I suspect she has never had eight continuous hours of fun and adventure. The staff are all friendly and you can tell they are "dog people." I toured the facilities before bringing her in and was impressed. There are multiple playrooms, a huge outside play area, actual rooms for pets who are boarding. I was not going to leave my dog just anywhere -- within 5 minutes I was completely comfortable entrusting Dog Club with my pet. She will be there multiple days a week. Highly recommended. read more

We have sent our dog there recently once for an extended stay where she can back sick, malnourished, and lost over 6 lbs from her stay. And another time where they returned the FULL bag of food I gave forgetting both of her feedings while she was there for a full day and overnight. They are neglectful and unfit to watch dogs. Wonderful staff and are accommodating when we had flight issues and we were unsure if we would make pickup time requiring another days stay. This is a grooming review only. Last week, my dog cost an outrageous $180 to get groomed. Usually that is the cost for both of my dogs. Upon pick up, they mumbled something about being charged a behavior fee but no one would explain what behaviors my dog had while being groomed. I highly recommend having your dog groomed elsewhere rather than pay their astronomical prices. read more

We have boarded our puppy there for about a year, daily and overnights. Besides her being smelly sometimes when we picked her up, she seemed to be happy. So I do not have any comments on when we had her boarding. I am, however, fairly unimpressed and disappointed in their policies and reaction when our dog was in the hospital for over a week and in her healing process. She was very sick, developed pneumonia in both lungs, 2 types of influenza, and a bacterial infections. Yes, I know she got it from the other dogs at the daycare, but I'm not mad about that. It just so happened that we had just bought one of their daily packages, $515, when our dog got sick. She has been quarantined from other dogs for 6 weeks and we honestly don't want her around so many dogs now with her weakened immune system. I called 3 times, left messages and finally had to show up at the Club to get a response to our request for a refund. Once we were face-to-face with the Lead there, we explained our situation and not once did they ask how our dog was doing. Then they explained that their policy on daily packages is that they are NOT refundable and we signed a paper stating that we were not refundable, a year ago. I did tell them that this is not on their website so they should update it. So, my review is more of a warning that if you buy a package, be aware that if your dog is sick or dies, you will not be receiving a refund. I know they are running a business, but this does seem to be a harsh and not animal friendly policy. And if you want to talk someone about an issue, you will have go in to get an answer and don't expect any compassion. We are very disappointed. read more

My pup recently started here but every time he comes home he smells horrible and has literal feces all over him. I've had to keep him home once already because he picked up a puppy cold and was very sick. They now are upping their prices AND adding a $5 lunch charge and you still have to bring your own lunch? Then he was supposed to get neutered and couldn't due to the fact he had picked up kennel cough and was a high risk for the surgery (now postponed two whole more months which is entirely other issue on its own!!!) A day after pulling him so he could get better for his future surgery date, a friend messaged me that knew a girl who had just quit due to the mistreating of dogs! She told her that they are locked in a room and never come out!!!!! Not to mention I asked multiple times in person and on the phone if I could get him signed up with training and they simply just never got around to having the trainer call me. It's probably for the better as it would've been a waste of money I'm sure!!! Thankfully due to looking for a new trainer I stumbled across one who also offers training- and answers phone calls!!!(imagine that) safe to say he's done there!!! I'm very sad that our animals are vulnerable to a facility that we pay and trust and are ultimately abusing them. read more

This used to be De LaPooch Daycare and I knew the owner who used to be my dog walker. She was wonderful with all kinds of animals and when she opened the daycare she made sure that she picked the right people for staff and that they were well trained. The daycare was crate/kennel free. So when I took my dog, I knew that she would be well taken care of. Unfortunately, the original owner sold the kennel and it became the The Dog Club. Staffing began to change and I became concerned about the care. Then one day, I dropped off my dog and about an hour later I received a call that my dog had been bitten and was on her way to the vet for stitches. I learned that my dog had done nothing...my dog is not aggressive and is submissive. She was making her rounds greeting the dogs in the room and when she greeted one who was sitting on a chair, the dog lunged and bit her in the face. There were staff in the room. The daycare paid for the vet bill. However, the staples in her face had to be removed in two to three weeks and I was leaving to go out of the country the very next day for three weeks and a friend who lives out of my town was going to take care of my dog. I arranged to have the staples removed from my dog's face by my vet who comes to the home so that my friend who was taking care of my dog would not have to travel from Merrimack to Hooksett (the daycare's vet) to have the staples removed. I spoke to the owner about this because it was going to cost me $60 to have the staples removed and the bite and vet bill was the daycare's responsibility. The owner at first said that my dog would have to go to the daycare's vet and I explained my situation. She finally said she would pay the $60. A year later and she has never paid a cent. Needless to say, after my dog was bitten, I no longer sent her to this daycare. read more

I would give a zero if I could. I have a 17 week old puppy that has never been to doggy daycare before. When I arrived I was told my puppy would have a temperament test do to it being her first day. No one ever called to give an update throughout the day. I called at 12:22 to ask how my puppy wAs doing to be told she is fine happy and playing and passed her temperament test, i never heard another word the rest of the day. Then when my husband picked her up after work he was told she did not pass or fail and that she was put in isolation for a better part of the day because she was trying to be dominant, but I still never received a call to notify me. I then called to get more information about what exactly my puppy was doing and exactly how long my dog was in isolation to be told she was out playing for 1 hour then isolation, back out playing for a half hour, back in isolation then out for 15 min twice totally playing for 2 hrs out of a 9 hour day. But still no phone all asking if u wanted to pick her up. They had no temperament test review to give me no exact instances that put my puppy in isolation. The manager called me after hearing I had concerns where she told me a little different of a story, so who is lying 3 stories 3 different people. The manager then said we have 24:7 recording and I can assure you the dog was not mistreated, she then said what are you looking for, I said I want to see the recording of that day you said you have it. At that point she hung up on, I called her back (cellphone) she didn't answer and never called back. GUILTY. I spoke with previous customers that took their dogs here saying they do miss treat the dogs that's why so many staff members left. I also saw a love video of dogs being miss treated. I'm so sad I didn't know this all before and my dog has not been the same since and my puppies vet is also concerned. I have notified the right people to make sure they do not continue to miss treat dogs, we are the voice for these dogs that do not have a voice. Please do not bring your dog here!! read more
