All new dogs are asked to come in for an evaluation. A human will spend a few minutes to evaluate your pup (you too possibly). AFTER the eval, you are free to qualify & clarify. Try not to embarrass your child in front of the teacher though. If all parties are amenable, the pupperoni is escorted to the play park to meet the other kids--where the big dogs play here & the smaller dogs play there. The furry one may play or just acquaint themselves with gen pup. Did I mention grooming? Logic & common sense -- so refreshing. If requested, takes place closer to pick up. Otherwise busy puppies need time to recharge and unwind - the lights are dimmed and they are chasing bunnies HoundsTown CLW & all the humans keeping an eye on your fur babies are truly passionate about their calling. I wrote a review soon after I unfortunately chose this place to board my elderly shorkie who has a 6/6 heart murmur and GI issues when I had to fly across the country to see my mother who's battling lymphoma. I was late arriving to check my dog in prior to my flight due to work and was nearly ran off the road by a road rager and was upset for viable reasons. When I was beginning the check in process with who I later learned is the "Owner" of this dump, he told me "Look, you are all over the place I need you to forget whatever happened prior to now and check your dog in." This was so off-putting, rude and unprofessional and I wanted to leave and not board my dog. However, I was running late to get to the airport for my flight. My dog was super sick with a horrible cough she has not ever had, was extremely lethargic and not wanting to eat anything. I had to spend hundreds of dollars at the vet and spend countless hours trying to nurse her back to health. In fact, her vet diagnosed her as terminal and suspected her heart medication was not properly dispensed. During my dog's stay, while out of state caring for my ill mother, I tried calling daily to check on my dog and also struggled getting the camera that was "free" for first-time customers and the "Owner" was so rude upon check in when I asked how to access the camera, he explained so quickly and rudely I had to call to ask how to access. Immediately upon learning how sick my dog was, I called several times asking for information about my dog and whether she had symptoms while boarded. I repeatedly asked for the "Owner" to call me back and he never did. I then wrote the review. Immediately after posting the review, I received a text from the "Owner" and a phone call. He claimed he had my phone number wrong. He offered to help reimburse me some of the vet charges and begged me to remove the review stating he would continue to monitor my dog's health and my review would "ruin his small business". I refused to remove it and explained how rude he was upon check in and he made excuses but there is none. I told his employee what happened and what he said to me during check in and she was appalled and apologized profusely but then said he is the "Owner". As soon as I removed the review, he stopped responding to me, so I sent another text and he went off on me stating many rude things include my mom's cancer was not his problem. Beyond disgusting, heartless and mean and he stated I was supposed to keep him posted. It's taken me time to post this because of trying to help my mom best I can and it took months to restore my dog's health, and I am a single mom of two who just had 6 consecutive layoffs. The least he could have done was offer a partial refund but nope. I would not at all trust this cruel, rude and unprofessional man who clearly doesn't care about animals or people. Due to my job I have to work 12 hours a day and can't leave him home. They are so understanding and accommodating where I can drop him off early before opening and pick him up right after closing. The staff is wonderful, I see the live feed and they play with all the dogs hug them, give them pets and attention. They give my pup breaks when he needs them. They know what the dogs need and so intuitive. The place is clean and never smells like animals. On the live feed you see the employees clean up right away when the dog pees or poops. The staff is so friendly and look like they're happy working there. They truly care about the dogs and owners well being. I wouldn't trade them for the world. Amazing job. Oh and by the way they have a splash pad for the doggies who love water!! They have big dog and small dog play areas. Each have an inside and an outside and the dogs can come and go in and out when they want. The prices are super reasonable and great value packages. I can't recommend them enough. Anyone working super early or super late and need a daycare or boarding this is the place. A lot of my coworkers bring their pets here.

There have been numerous incidents of abuse and lack of oversight, a dog died from heat exposure, a dog being degloved, several others attacked because of lack of adequate supervision and the owner is profit oriented. My own pet suffered a bite last August which resulted in a greenstick fracture and open wounds at 7 months old. They refused to file a report OR give me information about the dog who bit him. Unfortunately I made the mistake to board him in October. This time he was take to Blue Pearl Hospital after outdoor "enrichment" with a neurological issue. Their enrichment is ABUSE! After referral to a neuro and finally an MRI he has been diagnosed with spinal fluid impinging his spinal cord over several vertebra. He is impacted for life. This woman/owner should be charged for animal cruelty not her staff. Please Please Please DO NOT let them harm your baby.

Last year when my pitbull Ollie was acting odd, Dr Cowden helped diagnose him with late stage lymphoma and his staff was very empathetic and kind during that difficult time. They also assisted with getting my new dog bandit chipped, vaccinated and cleaned up. He also needed dental work and a small growth removed which they helped with too. Additionally they have made sure to be kind and caring with my cat Fern as well. I truly don't understand the negative reviews on here, but I have bared witness to the types of people who yell at the staff and treat them poorly. I have seen them handle a customer who came in 3 hours late for a grooming appt who got upset because she "didn't know" she had to drop off at a certain time. Which makes no sense. So I can imagine why those people might be upset and submit a negative review. I can't speak for everyone who has been here and what kinds of service they receive, but for both my dogs and my cat, we have received excellent affordable care.

Drop-off and pick-up are straightforward, and they stay close to the estimated timing. The staff handles Maxim appropriately, which is important for a larger, high-energy breed. So, no need to address the cost associated to the service, I am just expected to cover no discussion? Please note, if called I would have approved if I understood the need, but while there could be areas to remove it was not anything of known nature or huge impact. Outcome: Poor Communication, Lack of corrective action when concerns presented and up charges for items not discussed. Be aware, services were wonderful until mid 2024 now I am questioning my provider options.
