We were on our way back to Houston so stopped here and got the chocolate mousse, sourdough bread and raspberry shortbread cookie - the cookie was okay didn't seem too fresh. Mousse was good and their sourdough seemed fresh and good. There was a short line. I think a fresh paint and a deep clean would be a good idea just to make the bakery more appealing. A nice hole in the wall.

We love coming to the island bakery! I had a blueberry donut for my birthday, but we also tried kolaches, regular donuts, and a raspberry croissant at different points during the week. Everything tasted great and was a hit with the family. The staff is friendly, and we enjoyed all of our goodies each day!

Nice little bakery with a bit of a mixed bag. I had them slice up a bread loaf and that didn't go well. I'd recommend doing that yourself if you also want one of their loaves sliced. The pastries I got were tasty though.

Kolaches, beautifully decorated donuts, cruffins, cinnamon rolls, Bavarian cream donuts, Raspberry filled, pastries.

The service and food were great! I highly recommend the pulled pork kolache, bacon, egg and cheese kolache, and cruffin! The Bavarian cream filled donut was filled with homemade filling compared to chains. Will definitely be back!

The amazing, unforgettable Cruffin...do we really have to go back to Colorado?

I was a huge fan of Irie's lunch offerings for many years, but have rediscovered the new Irie's Bakery and can say that I'm more than impressed with the new offerings! My very favorite is the "Cruffin," with layers and layers of buttery decandence and cinnamon sugar, but there are so many delicious bakery items it's hard to choose. We also just had them create a birthday cake for my stepdaughter, and I understand that there is a local coffee shop setting up in March to offer even more coffee choices. As a fan of the "old" Irie's, I'm super happy to see that they've brought back some of the lunch favorites...fried rice, chicken chow mein, and even butter chicken! Only available from 11-2, so get there early so I didn't beat you to it. You won't be disappointed!

I Ordered pies for Thanksgiving! They were delicious. We also enjoyed pastries and sandwiches one day for lunch while we were in Port A.

This is a great bakery to visit and buy from. They could have had a better selection, but may be based on the current slow season.

As for the food/drinks, they were solid. They make their sandwiches and then refrigerate them and then panini them when you buy them. I am not usually a fan of coffee shop sandwiches but gave these a chance because they're actually made here. PRISTINE! tasty! My husband loved the chipotle chicken wrap so much that he went back for another one after devouring the first. The only bad thing was that their chai tea base is tooooo sweet. I literally asked them if they use a sweetener, to which they said no. They did acknowledge it was sweet and agreed to give me some hot water to water it down. Overall- very great experience. We will be back next time we are in port aransas.

I tried the coffee, chocolate, honey vanilla, coconut, grasshopper and butter beer. The atmosphere is pretty nice here and you can tell they have been here several years as the place is decked out with decor, plants and local artwork. My favorite was the grasshopper since it was loaded with ingredients and tasted almost like an ice cream instead. I also sampled the caramel macchiato iced latte and this was just ok. As other reviewers noted, they do not like you to sample the gelato prior to ordering, which I don't really like. I think they just need to have another person working behind the counter. Inside is lots of seating for either your small or large groups.

We thought we would visit for dinner at about 6 pm . Place was totally empty when we arrived; a very wait person say us and very nicely waited on us throughout. I had the two bratwurst with red cabbage and German potatoe salad . Now usually to me , bratwurst should be full juicy sausages of a considerable size . What I got was a little better than two hot dogs that were cut in two length wise. The potato salad was somewhat greasy and not too remarkable at all. The red cabbage was only passable. The whole thing seemed like it was warmed up from lunch , in that it came out surprisingly quickly and was tepid rather than hot. Microwaved maybe even. My partner had pork schnitzel, spaetzal and sauerkraut. The snitzel seemed ok though tepid . The serving size though was somewhat smaller than what their online pic showed but my wife said that she didn't need anything bigger . My wife said the spaetzal was good though I tasted it and thought it seemed warmed up. The oddest thing is that the sauerkraut was mixed up with mashed potatoes. The texture was weird and it was missing the tanginess of sauerkraut and , again, tasted warmed up. Is this a way to "stretch" sauerkraut of all things? The problem is they just started dinner service I guess in the last two weeks according to our server . On top of all this it was exorbitantly priced . Whereas I might visit during breakfast, I may not fit dinner for a while to where they can build a better experience. The waitress was very nice and accommodating.

We knew it was late in the morning so obviously they wouldn't have everything. The woman in the front was super sweet, and there was a man in the front to who was helpful. Our one star comes from an extremely rude man in the back. My 3 year old son has CP and can't control some of his repetitive motor functions. He was hitting the glass pastry case (not hard - he's 3) and the guy in the back yelled "who's doing that!?" I apologized and pulled my son away and he goes "I just wiped it down!" I highly doubt we were the only people to do that ever if he's had to wipe it down multiple times today. And sure, it's annoying. Which is why I apologized. But it was the tone and the complete lack of any sort of tact or customer service that shocked us. When my husband went back in to explain he was even more rude and basically told us to control our kid. If he was running around breaking things in the entire store - absolutely. This attitude would have been warranted. But he put his hands on a pastry case for f's sake. Calm down. Whoever said Rockport is kid friendly...lied. And this place is living proof. So make sure if you have kids to tell them not to touch ANYTHING here. Or better yet keep them in the car. Wouldn't want to upset the troll in the back.
