Dough Bros was very busy during the lunch hour and I understand why - the pizza was delicious! You order at the counter and then are shown to a table which made the whole process seem less. Hip and cool vibes, with patronage to legendary musicians. The burrata pizza was simple, just tomato sauce and burrata with a few basil leaves on top. I'd definitely go back when in the area.
Based on a million recommendations, we went in for pizza. Live wasn't too bad. Very friendly workers. We ordered the proper ham and mushroom pie and a margarita pie. I also had a banana soda, which was delicious. The ham and mushroom pie was ten stars. Excellent. Crispy charred crust, salty ham on top. And the mushrooms were not those boring ones like a papa John's:) Margarita was a disappointment. It may be a cultural gap but the cheese was not fresh mozzarella! Instead it was basically a cheese pizza. Enjoyed the boisterous dining area.
This pizza is a must if you're in Galway! There was a line that took 15-20mins. Once inside, you order and they seat you. The pizza was brought to our table within 10 mins. So even though there's likely always a wait here, it moves quick and is so worth it. We got the Stinger and the Curry Cheese. The curry cheese was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time and unlike any pizza flavor I've had. We ordered 2 pizzas for 2 people and had some leftovers, but the crust is thin so you could finish a pizza by yourself.
There was a line outside the door when we got there, but decided to stay because we had heard such great things. We got to the front after half an hour. The inside of the restaurant is super cool. Its decorations include retro video games, cookbooks & coffee table books on pizza, and their awards. We ordered the Stinger and the Curry Cheese pizzas. The service was extremely fast. Both pies were incredible; I see why they are called the best pizza in Ireland. The crust is very thin, but flavorful. The Stinger was more of a traditional pizza, with chorizo, garlic, and some peppers. The Curry Cheese was much more innovative/unique, with slices of potato and dollops of curry sauce. It had a nice kick of Indian flavor. Highly recommend this place and both of those pizzas!
What a lovely, quick, delightful experience. There's plenty of seating, it's well lit, the staff are helpful and kind, the bathroom was clean, and food was great! I ordered the curry cheese pizza and I hope I get a chance to come back to Ireland to enjoy it again! So flavorful, perfect amount of spice, and something Ive never had before. The garlic cheese bread was a little underwhelming. Tasty, but quite small for the price. I think id skip this next time. I love that they have their own beers. And the beers were nice, well balanced, easy drinking. Love it!
Don't know HOW this place received ANY stars from other reviews. Staff is incredibly rude. Believe the other reviews that comment on the staffs behaviour. 100% accurate. Over priced and NOT worth the hype. Huge mistake on my part. Put too much weight in the positive reviews and ignored the negative ones. It's mediocre pizza at best. American chain, Blaze Pizza, is better. That says it all. Trust me, skip this place.
When you think Ireland, you certainly do not think pizza, but Dough Bros is on a mission to change that...and after eating at their spot in Galway, I fully support this mission! Voted #1 pizza in Ireland makes total sense now! This location on Middle Street in the heart of Galway is their flagship location, and is a modern space situated in a storied building. You are legit transported from old world Ireland on the outside to modern pizzeria inside. The space is laid out very well. Upon entry you hop right in line where you order, get your drinks and table number and are then led to your table based on party size. From there, once the pie is ready, a runner brings it to you. They have all the classics you are after, but also have a solid selection of house curated pies. We went with a few house pies including the Pepp Guardi-Jala and Proper Ham and Mushroom. Both were absolutely phenomenal, the dough, the cook on the crust, the cheese, toppings...*chef's kiss* Service was great from entry to exit. We were welcomed immediately, walked through the menu at ordering, assisted at our table and wished a great day. Solid service! Overall, a little jealous The Dough Bros have not made their way over the pond yet, but I guess this is just one more reason to get back to Galway sooner than later!
I don't consider myself a pizza connoisseur by any means but I've had the privilege to try some highly regarded pizza in the US and have also tried some amazing pizza in Italy. Now I can add Ireland to that growing list. Dough Bros has been one of the most talked about pizza places in Galway and voted the best pizza there in 2022. When visiting other countries outside the US I always seek out their authentic regional cuisine but there's always room to try some different things too. This is what brought me to Dough Bros. We came for a late lunch, around 1:45 pm and the line was out the door and down the sidewalk. We considered coming back another time but changed our minds and decided to wait anyway. Wait was long. Even once inside the building at the counter, there was a long, lol between the counter person taking orders and not taking orders. I'm guessing because they were trying to give the kitchen some time to catch up. The entire time we were waiting in line I had no idea whether there would be an open table for us to sit once we ordered anyway. The restaurant was completely packed. Timing was on our side though, and we were able to have a table to sit at and drink some cold drinks while we waited for our pizza to be ready. Before too long, the pizza arrived at our table. It was piping hot and we had to wait a few minutes to be able to take a bite. The crust was thin, but still super tender. You could tell they make the dough fresh and it had that perfect chewy soft texture with a bit of crunch from the oven. It was still a bit soggy in the middle though, which was slightly disappointing since I prefer a crispy crust. The sauce was very balanced, and a generous amount of mozzarella on top. Most margarita pizzas aren't covered with mozzarella, which is one of the reasons I don't order them often. I love cheese! The flavors were balanced, and I especially loved the flavor of the sauce. I gave the Dough Bros five stars for the excellent pizza and friendly service. I could take away one star due to the length of time I stood in line and the fact that the kitchen couldn't seem to keep up however, the flavors of the pizza made the wait worth it to me. I can see why this place is so popular.
We chatted with a local in another town who insisted we try this place out. The line was pretty long but once we had ordered and were seated, we agreed we liked the way they set it up. You stand in line for order at the counter but by the time you've done that, there are always tables available. It's a good way to provide some crowd control. The food was delicious and the menu was clever. I only hate that we weren't more hungry so we could try more of the food. We kept it pretty simple with the margherita pizza and bro-schetta. Perfect amount of food and has us wanting to come back in the future to try some of their other concoctions!
Dough Bros has a lot of hype for a reason! This place is awesome! We came by for lunch on our recent trip to Dublin and had a great time. Their staff is very attentive and friendly, and they have such a cool menu. There are lots of "standards" but we went for something more unique and ordered the curry and potato pizza. WOW was it good. My only wish is that they had a location closer to my house in the US. Definitely worth the stop - you'll love it!
Dough Bros is a great spot if you're looking for a quick, casual meal. It has more of a fast-food vibe than a sit-down pizzeria. The quality of the pizza is good with fresh ingredients. The brick-fired oven gives the crust a delicious smoky flavor that's hard to beat. The only thing I'd change is the amount of sauce. There's no sauce on the pizza. It makes the pizza slightly dry or unique texture. Overall, it's a solid choice for a fast, tasty pizza, and I'd definitely stop by again. read more
The hype is real! Undoubtedly Ireland's best pizza lives in Galway with Dough Bros. Made our own pizza with pepperoni and fresh garlic. The pepperoni was thick and super flavorful and the crust was perfectly charred underneath with an awesome chew. Honorable mention for their mixed drinks as well. Wife loved her Aperol Spritz and the Strawberry Basil Margarita was epic. Wished I lived here so I could come back. read more

Truly such a delicious pizza. Very flavorful, several unique flavor combos to choose from, and cooked to perfection. Can't recommend this spot enough. That's coming from a NY-er. Service was very sweet and the ambience was nice and casual. read more

Amazing pizza in Eyre Square in Galloway, Ireland. Crust was super good. Must go to. Apple Maps had it off by 100 yards. Loved the pizza cookbooks on the shelves on the wall. read more

What's up: I just got back from a trip out to the Cliffs of Moher and was looking for dinner. A quick search of food and I discovered pizza at the Dough Bros. Transit: I walked here from the Galway City Bus Stop. It's just a bit off of Shop St. Environment: The menu was posted on the outside of the building as well as inside, so you can figure out what to order before you get to the front counter. After placing my order, I was shown to a table. Staff members were friendly and after a short wait, my food was brought to the table. Restrooms are located towards the back of the seating area, on the left of the green Dough Bros sign What was ordered: - Proper Ham And Mushroom (hot and delicious. Very flavorful and not too oily) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. That was a really yummy pizza and with the cold weather, it really hit the spot. Definitely worth a try. Credit cards are accepted. read more

Locally owned The Dough Bros is a very popular place. When we arrived here was a line out the door with a Disney like cue inside. You stand in line, it moves pretty quickly, to order your pizza and drinks. We were given our drinks and then, even though the place was packed, tables open quickly and we were seated. Your food is brought to the table. The pizzas were good but didn't knock our socks off. We asked for our crust extra crispy but it looked pretty much the same as those served to others. Again, tasty pizza but not the best we've ever had. Give it a try and see what you think! read more

Pizza was delicious - we did wait in line for 45 mins or so but they were pretty organized and went by fast. It tastes very similar to pizza I've had in Italy! They were accommodating with seating ppl inside but if you had a big group may be good to take out. read more
When in Galway we had to check out the Dough bros. It made the top 50 pizzerias list in Europe. Ordered the classic Margherita. Perfect crust & chewy texture. Still felt like something was missing flavor wise. I went back to get their garlic dipper sauce & it brought lots of flavor. I don't think a pizza should need a dipping sauce for flavor though. Maybe will have to try a different pie next time. There's often a long line but it moves fast & fast casual ambiance. Service was great & this place has gotten many accolades on the wall. Although the pizza was an 8/10 for me. Would definitely be back, cheers! read more
I was not expecting to find such quality pizza in Ireland of all places! I am still thinking about our pizza lunch from here, days later. The pizza was delicious! Thin and perfectly melted cheese. We ordered just one pizza to share between the two of us and it was plenty. The servers were friendly and personable. Lots of indoor seating and nice bathrooms. read more

Ultra thin crust, great charred blisters and a perfect balance of sauce, cheese and crust. The line was long and moved a little slow but it was worth the wait. They are a locally owned pizza joint, plus own a NY slice shop a couple blocks away called Lil Bros. read more
What a good spot to find. Honestly I was skeptical because I have pizza back home but this place is great. The pizza was so unique with options and the curry pizza I think was my favorite. There was a massive line so be warned there will probably be a wait. The service was surprisingly quick though. Overall a good warm spot to eat after a cold walk through town. read more
Amazing! One of my friends from Galway recommended this place and so glad we went. One or two roads removed from the touristy street. We ordered 3 pizzas for 4 people and was just about right. The Hail Caesar, Guardiola, and Margharita pizzas all delicious. The Hail Caesar was by far my favorite. Food also came out quickly and the staff super friendly. The pizza crust was thin and slightly charred - just the way I like it! Highly recommend. read more

We came here for the rave reviews. The best in Ireland? Let's go! It was a well run machine. That can't be denied. If the line is too long inside, expect to wait outside until they tell you to come in. You are handed menus outside which is genius and helps you order quicker when you get to the register. You order at the counter. They seat you and bring you everything you ordered. We had the Marg, cheesy garlic bread, bolognese and a gluten free pesto. The bolognese wasn't on the printed menu, but was on the menu inside on the board. The garlic bread was tasty, but a bit of a disappointment to pay 6.50€ for such a small serving. The Marg was really good. The bolognese was good, not great. The gluten free (ordered due to dietary restrictions) was decent. I liked how quick and efficient the operation was being run. The service was friendly and thorough. We'd come back to try other flavors. read more

Absolutely loved our experience at The Dough Bros in Galway! We tried their own Dough Bros beers--super refreshing and paired perfectly with the pizzas. The Pepp and the "Can't Banh Mi Love" pizza was incredibly creative, bursting with flavor and great light airy and chewy texture. Both were cooked to perfection with that amazing wood-fired crust. The vibe of the place was just as impressive--the playlist was full of great jams that kept the energy up without being overwhelming. Service was friendly and fast too, dispite the queue going out the door. Easily one of the best pizza spots we've been to in Ireland. read more

Oh this pizza is to die for! It's so delicious. I got the Caesar pizza and it's top notch! For service it was nothing but smiles and kind people. It has a nice modern and industrial vibe to it and you can just smell the pizzas cooking! read more

The line was hella long and took us 45 min just to order carry out. We got the margherita, American, Pep Guardijala and the Proper Ham and Mushroom plus the garlic cheese bread and bros-cetta. The restaurant was clean and the vibe was good. The proper Ham and mushroom was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The other pizzas were tasty, but nothing to write home about. Hubby tried the Dough Bros IPA and liked it. Would definitely come back for that Proper Ham and Mushroom. read more
